Chapter 57 - Don’t Talk While You Chew
Ji Yang guffawed when she saw how keen Mu Siyin was. “Okay, okay! I’ll definitely fill you in about my missions!”
Mu Siyin grunted softly. “That’s more like it!”
“Oh yeah! Does anyone else know about you and Shi Beiyu?”
Mu Siyin pondered for a while and said, “I’ve only told you and my Cuz.”
If her memory served her right, Shi Beiyu had given orders to keep the news about their reconciliation at Beauties After Dark a secret.
Ji Yang vented her dissatisfaction upon hearing this. “I wonder if Gu Yifan will lose his mind when he finds out about this. I bet he’ll be dying to reconcile with you.”
Mu Siyin snorted. “To hell with that!”
Ji Yang frowned. “Gu Yifan turned out to be such a turd. I never expected him to be a hypocrite who would stoop so low to get what he wanted.”
Mu Siyin was instantly reminded of her past life. Mu Xingyu and Gu Yifan had totally destroyed her life.
“The game has just started.”
Mu Siyin and Ji Yang talked for a while and had dinner before they headed home.
After all, Mu Heyuan had promised to sign the agreement of the share transfer tonight.
The others were having dinner by the table when Mu Siyin went back to the Mu family. Noticing her return, Old Madam Mu asked, “I heard from your dad that the deal has been sealed. Is that true?”
Mu Siyin nodded her head nonchalantly. “Yeah.”
The Old Madam was put off by Mu Siyin’s attitude but decided to tolerate it. At the end of the day, they needed her help now.
“That’s great! Your father has already brought back the agreement. You can go through it in a bit and sign it.”
Worried that there would be unfair terms in the agreement, Mu Siyin said, “Where’s the agreement? I’ll take a look at it now.”
This got on Li Tongzhi’s nerves, and she frowned. “What’s the rush? You already know what you’re getting!”
“Don’t talk when you chew, Auntie Li.”
Li Tongzhi’s complexion turned ghastly as she glared at Mu Siyin angrily. “You!”
“Enough!” The Old Madam raised her voice, which made Li Tongzhi hold in her anger.
Old Madam Mu looked at Mu Siyin and said, “It’s on the coffee table. I’ve already gone through it, so there shouldn’t be much of a problem.”
Mu Siyin nodded her head. “Okay. Please take your time eating. I’ll look it over first.”
As Mu Siyin had just graduated, Old Madam Mu and Mu Heyuan expected her to be inexperienced when it came to business. After all, she was young and would definitely lack the patience to go through such a lengthy agreement.
Besides, she definitely would not be able to spot the unfair clause in the agreement.
Who would have thought that Mu Siyin would mock them after she had gone through the agreement? “There seems to be a huge problem with the agreement, Dad.”
Mu Heyuan narrowed his eyes before he stood up and laughed. “Oh? What problem can there be? It’s been professionally drafted by the company’s lawyer.”
Mu Siyin raised an eyebrow. “This clause says that I have ownership over 10% of the company’s shares, which will be 20% in total after the transfer.”
Mu Heyuan frowned. “What’s wrong with that? You have 10% of the shares under your name now. Shouldn’t it be 20% after the transfer?”
Mu Siyin snickered, “I may be young, but that doesn’t mean you can fool me around that way. My mother and my sister each owned 10% of the shares, which rightfully belong to me.”
How condescending were they to think that they could swap 20% of her mother’s and sister’s shares in exchange for 10% of the Old Madam and Li Tongzhi’s shares?
