Chapter 61 - A Great Matchmaker
Mu Siyin frowned and sat up in a fury.
She really did not like being woken up at all.
Did Busybody Gu have a death wish?
Why did she have to pick a bone with her all the time?
“Mu Siyin! Stop playing dead! Open up before I tear it down!” Upon saying that, a loud bang ensued as she kicked it with all her might.
“Ouch!” Mu Siyin heard a cry of pain across her door. Busybody Gu probably used too much force or placed it in an incorrect form and twisted her ankle.
“Are you okay, Auntie?” Mu Xingyu asked in exaggeration.
Madam Gu fumed. “Xingyu! Is Mu Siyin in her room or not?”
“She is. She’s pretending she hasn’t heard you.”
“That little vixen! I’m going to skin her alive today!”
Upon saying so, Madam Gu raised her leg and kicked the door madly.
“Old Hag Gu!”
Little did she know that Mu Siyin would open the door the moment her foot landed on it. In a split second, Madam Gu lost her footing and fell to the ground.
“Ouch! My leg!” Madam Gu fell flat on the floor as she hugged her knees pathetically.
Mu Xingyu, who was behind Madam Gu, was shocked to see the latter that way. She immediately rushed forward to help her up. “Are you okay, Auntie?”
Madam Gu fumed in anger when she saw Mu Siyin with her arms crossed. “Mu Siyin, you wretched snake!”
Mu Siyin was speechless. “Why are you making a scene in the morning, Old Hag Gu? I thought a mad dog broke into our house.”
“You… Mu Siyin! You really won’t learn until you’re faced with reality, huh? Fine! I’ll tear away those clothes today to expose what you did with that man!”
After Madam Gu said that, she got up from the floor madly and raised her hands to tear off Mu Siyin’s clothes.
Having anticipated her attack, Mu Siyin dodged and yelled in rage, “Go to the hospital if you’re sick! I’m not a vet!”
“How can you treat my mom that way, Siyin?” A woman suddenly appeared by the side of the door. She was dressed in a white dress and had long, silky black hair.
The first impression she gave was that she was an innocent and kind person. All she had to do was frown for people to pity her.
She was Gu Yifan’s younger sister, Gu Yiling.
They were both ‘good friends’ in her past life.
Come to think of it, Gu Yifan’s affair with Mu Xingyu was never caught because of Gu Yiling’s help.
Gu Yiling used to spend a lot of time with Mu Siyin in the past and pretended that she liked her. Now that she thought about it, Gu Yiling was actually creating opportunities for Gu Yifan and Mu Xingyu to meet up.
What a great matchmaker she was!
Most importantly, she played a huge role in the car accident in her past life.
As these thoughts flashed through her mind, Mu Siyin could not help but snicker. “Hm? When did Miss Gu return?”
Since Gu Yiling had always pretended to be Mu Siyin’s best friend, Mu Siyin’s sudden change in her attitude took her off guard. She instinctively frowned, “Didn’t I tell you a few days ago, Siyin? I went for a vacation with my friends abroad and just returned yesterday.”
“Oh really? Sorry! So much has been going on lately, and I have simply forgotten about it.” Mu Siyin replied indifferently.
Seeing how undeterred Mu Siyin was of their presence, Madam Gu told Gu Yiling, “Stop wasting your time on her, Yiling! Show her the picture now and ask her who the man is!”
Mu Siyin frowned at Madam Gu’s words.
What did Busybody Gu mean?
Mu Siyin was still confused when Gu Yiling looked at her disappointingly. “You keep accusing my brother of having an affair with Big Sister Xingyu, but can you explain what your relationship with this man is, then?”
