Chapter 659 -Intense Argument
Intense Argument
“Of course, we have to!” Pengzhan went into deep thought for a second, “And, we shouldn’t push the blame onto others. If it were found out that the problem really lied within our school, then we have to give the parents an absolute answer! Even if it’s not the school’s problem, we have to do our job and save the students at all costs, I don’t care about the medical fees, my industries will take responsibility for everything!”
“Alright, Dean Wong, I’ll leave contacting the parents to you, note that you should not create conflicts with any of them, while trying your best to maintain our school’s reputation!” Binggong ordered Zhifeng.
“Yes, Principal Ding, I’ll contact them right now!” Zhifeng nodded and began calling the school to collect the data of the fainted students….
Soon, the parents had gotten the news and rushed their way to the hospital, flooding the corridor of the emergency room with people. Some parents were able to remain their composure and asked about their children’s condition calmly, but some didn’t give a damn as they started creating a fuss, “What happened to my son? He was still fine when I sent them to the school, how come they fainted all of a sudden? What have you guys done to my son?!”
“If something terrible happened to my son, I’ll demolish your school!”
“Who’s the principal? How do you handle your school? How did my son lose consciousness while attending it?!”
“Guys, we shouldn’t be arguing here, this is a hospital and your son and daughter are still in the emergency room. The noise we make here might affect the doctor’s performance,” Binggong and Zhifeng pleaded helplessly against the yelling parents.
“So you do know that our children were sent into the emergency room, huh?! What kind of principal are you? Letting the students faint like this, just what were you thinking? What have you done?” A middle-aged woman pointed at Binggong and reprimanded.
“Yeah, did our son receive any harsh or unjust treatment from the school? Did they faint after the punishment? We need to know the truth!” another voice added.
“The truth! The truth! The truth! We want the truth!” the other parents joined in, for their sons and daughters, they didn’t mind fighting against the school until the end.
Pengzhan frowned, observing the intense exchange between the parents. He had no choice but to stand out and put a stop to the raging parents and calm them down.
“Everyone, please be silent, let me say something, I’m the chairman of the Pengzhan industries, Chu Pengzhan….”
“So you are the chairman, huh?! You still want us to quiet down? Please be silent? The children inside aren’t even your children, of course, you are able to be this calm!” Pengzhan was interrupted by the the same middle-aged woman.
“I know right, all you chairmen have is money. The daughters and sons of you people are all princesses and princes, but our children are different, they just fainted after attending the school!” another parent pointed sarcastically.
“Although I’m the chairman of the Pengzhan industries and also the chairman of this school, my feelings are the same as you guys- I’m worried about the children inside and am praying for their safety!” Pengzhan continued, “We, as the parents of our children, should wait calmly for the examination’s result. We should not make a mess of everything- shouting and scolding will not benefit our children at all!”
“Wow, that is easier said than done! The children inside aren’t even your children, of course you are able to speak like this!” the middle-aged woman tried to find every fault in him, “You are worried? I bet you are just worried about your school’s reputation, aren’t you?”
“Yeah, you must be worried about the school’s reputation, right?” the other parents joined in.
“It’s a misunderstanding. Actually, I’ve said before, the purpose of me standing here is the same as you guys, I’m standing here as a parent!” Pengzhan shook his head, “Because my daughter, Chu Mengyao is also one of the fainted ones! I’m worried about my daughter here! As for the harsh and unjust punishments, they are all nonsense. Do you guys think that Principal Ding would dare to stand here if he really did punish my daughter? If that happened, I would’ve fired him already!”
Pengzhan’s words had stunned the parents greatly! They never expected that Pengzhan’s daughter had also been one of the victims! The assumptions they made earlier were all completely invalid. Only the teachers and principal who had the balls and didn’t wish to continue working anymore would dare to punish the chairman’s daughter!
The noisiest middle-aged woman immediately went silent- she felt ashamed after accusing others. Since even the chairman’s daughter had fainted- did she really have the right to scold others? However, as a parent, they were just concerned for their children’s safety.
“So the only thing we can do now is to wait for the examination’s result! If the school was really responsible for this, no doubt, the school will take up all the responsibility. But even if this is not the school’s problem, the school will still fully sponsor the medical fee in order to treat the emerging disease or illness of our students!” Pengzhan said.
After listening to Pengzhan, the raging parents had been slightly calmed down, his words were reasonable and they couldn’t find a way to fight back at all. Hence, they had decided to just wait for the result first.
Time passed by slowly, Pengzhan and the parents were still waiting for the results, however, the emergency room’s light was still on. Twenty-over students was no a small number, things couldn’t be settled in just a short while.
Out of a sudden, pressing footsteps and the loud noises could be heard and a few reporters had shown up with cameras and microphones in their hands! Within the reporters, some were bribed by Li Cihua and some were called by the bribed ones- their purpose of coming here was to get the latest news of this case. 28students had fainted and were sent to the hospital- this was a big news. Even if they weren’t bribed, they were still willing to join in on the mess.
“Hello, I’m the reporter from <xx daily>, my name is Direwolf. I heard that Songshan’s first school had done horrible things to a group of students causing them to faint, may I ask, are you perhaps one of the parents of the victims?” This guy was part of the group who was bribed by Cihua, he was also the leader of this action. He used to be an underground person but after getting beaten up by a special forces soldier during his mission, he was no longer recognised by the underground. Unable to survive there, he changed his profession to a reporter for the street tabloid.
It was an undeniable fact that this Direwolf was pretty nasty with his question- the first question he brought up was a direct hit to what had just happened, setting the case as an intolerable and horrible case!
Pengzhan furrowed his eyebrows- he didn’t know where these reporters come from and where did they get the news. The parents were all calmed down, no one had been raging for the last while- it was impossible for them to have contacted the reporters! For them to contact the reporters before coming here was impossible as well, none of the parents would have had the time to call the reporters before learning about the situation!
