Chapter 36
Yu Xiangyang glanced at Su Huiqing. With her head slightly lowered, Su Huiqing curled her lips up into a casual smile.
She did not seem any different from usual.
“Grandpa, why did you believe her all of a sudden?” Yu Xiangyang looked at his grandpa, unable to figure him out.
No one understood his grandpa better than him and his other family members. Although his grandpa was a member of a noble family in Green City, he did not seem to take the other noble families seriously. Then again, he was so mysterious and stubborn that even Yu Xiangyang felt that his grandpa must have experienced a hell lot in his life.
Besides, this was the first time he initiated a conversation with a member of another noble family.
He even treated Su Huiqing with so much respect.
Old Master Yu walked down the stairs and gave a light chuckle. Rather than saying that he trusted her, he trusted Su Huiqing’s backing better. For such a young girl to be able to understand the secret language used in international battlefields, she must have had a powerful person backing her up.
He touched his glasses and bent down to pick up a document that landed next to his feet. A shadow suddenly cast over him.
The young man froze and slowly stood up.
The lady had disappeared. But in her place, five strong men dressed in a black suit stood around him.
The man in the middle was the head of the group. He was wearing a black dress shirt while back facing him. Although he could only his back, it was enough to send a chill down his spine.
“Mister, what is the meaning of this?” The young man touched his glasses and his gaze darkened.
“Mr. Chi Yue.” That person turned around. However, he could not see his face clearly because of blinding light from the sun. All he could see was a few glimpses of his smooth and distinct features.
Despite the warmth from the sun, he could feel a cold vibe from him. Perhaps even a hint of elegance.
After he heard that name, the young man placed his hand near his pocket before breaking into a smile. “Sorry, I don’t understand what you are talking about.”
“The explosion that happened at the battlefield in the International Association half a month ago.” Yu Shijin raised his chin and looked towards him with narrowed eyes. “Don’t you want to know how she died?”
His eyes looked deeper than ever. Yet, under the sun, an icy glint flashed past his eyes.
