Young Master Gu, Please Be Gentle

Chapter 1013 - Blood-stained Camellia

She was pregnant!

He was going to become a father!

Lu Yan was overcome with joy. That little lass, she hadn’t let him hug her and massage her earlier on. He hadn’t even gotten the chance to touch her precious stomach. His son!

He heard some giggling. Lu Yan lifted his head to look and saw that Li Si and the Blood Forces were all laughing at him.

“What are you guys laughing at?”

“General, congratulations on becoming a dad!”

Lu Yan raised his brows. He hadn’t heard wrong, she was pregnant. It felt really good to know he had his wife and son. He felt warm inside just thinking about them.

“You’re still laughing? Do you want to do a military exercise tomorrow carrying weights?”

Huo Yanmei’s eyes were red, she suddenly had the urge to cry.

“Oh, An’an is pregnant. You’re becoming a grandmother soon.”

What?

Huo Yanmei was stunned. An’an was pregnant?

He continued saying, “My mother is no longer alive, I don’t know much about women’s pregnancies. This is An’an’s first child, so she’s not experienced. You’ll have to guide her along during her pregnancy and after she has given birth. Please don’t let her suffer.”

Huo Yanmei shut her eyes as burning hot tears trickled down her cheeks. She had some understanding of Lu Yan, he had quite a stubborn character and would never lower his head even when he faced obstacles. But now, he had used ‘please’ when he spoke to her. He was lowering his stance.

But why?

Was it for An’an and her baby?

It was said that in a relationship, the serious party would lose. The one who loved the other party more would utterly lose.

Still… Huo Yanmei smiled while continuing to tear up. “Mm, I will.”

Bang! The window finally cracked open after Lu Yan’s relentless punches.

Lu Yan successfully took Huo Yanmei out of the car and he carried her on his back. “We’ve saved her, let’s hurry up and head back.”

“Yes, General.”

The men continued walking back but a huge storm suddenly came, rampaging into an entire row of thick branches, snapping them in its wake.

Dark clouds filled the sky. It was dark and gloomy despite it only being 2pm. It was sleeting so hard and it truly hurt once the ice made contact with the skin. The hurricane had really come.

“General, the hurricane is here but there’s at least half an hour’s journey before we can successfully get out of this place. Will we be able to get out?”

Humans would become so helpless in front of natural disasters. The journey back was filled with uncertainty and darkness.

Lu Yan lifted his head, wiping away the rain on his face and looking in front. “Yes, we definitely can.”

His every word sounded so powerful and confident.

The entire Blood Forces’ eyes lit up. They had followed Lu Yan into so many battlefields and had gotten out of them safely. Why? It was because Lu Yan was their source of light.

“Everyone listen up, it’s too dark now and we might get lost from each other. Raise your hands now, every single one of you. I don’t want to see even one hand missing!”

“Yes, General.”

Everyone raised their hands, braving through the pouring rain.

Lu Yan spotted a red camellia on the ground. It was so delicate and beautiful, just like An’an’s face. He bent over, picking the camellia up before putting it inside his pocket.

She would definitely love it if he brought it back for her as a present.

Huo Yanmei lay over Lu Yan’s shoulders. He had removed his raincoat, draping it over her body to protect her from the rain while he was thoroughly soaked to the bone.

She could feel his insurmountable strength, as well that gentleness he had in him when he carefully kept the camellia in his pocket.

The hurricane suddenly struck, Li Si in the front moved uncontrollably, his entire body taken into the huge cyclone.

“Officer Li!”

Lu Yan was at the back taking care of everyone. Once he heard someone scream for Li Si, he quickly handed Huo Yanmei to one of the Blood Forces as he ran over with the speed of lightning, grasping Li Si’s hand tightly and pulling him back.

Lu Yan’s hand seemed to have crazy powers, he had managed to pull Li Si out of the cyclone.

Li Si collapsed onto the ground.

Lu Yan suddenly heard a loud crack. One mega tree had split, falling in the direction of the Blood Forces troop.

“Move away!”

Lu Yan shouted so loudly with his diaphragm, extending two arms just like an eagle spreading its wings to protect the Blood Forces. He gathered his strength and pushed them away. Everyone fell forwards.

The mega tree had fallen on Lu Yan.

Lu Yan collapsed on the ground, being sandwiched by the tree and the ground. He spat out a mouthful of blood.

“General!”

Everyone was screaming, quickly scrambling over to join forces and move the tree away.

But they weren’t able to move it away at all.

Lu Yan lay on the ground, his entire lower body under the tree and it totally went numb. He could no longer feel his lower body and blood just kept dripping down the corner of his mouth.

He slowly looked beside him, the camellia in his pocket had fallen out, dropping into the pool of blood-rainwater mixture beside him. It was about to be flushed away.

He stretched his arm out with much difficulty, moving forward inch by inch painstakingly to pick up the camellia and held it in his palm tightly.

An’an…
