Young Master Gu, Please Be Gentle

Chapter 1014 - He Wanted to Live On!

“General!”

It was almost impossible to shift the mega tree away. The Blood Forces started crying.

The hurricane coupled with those sad cries, the skies were filled with inexplicable sorrow.

Lu Yan raised his eyes, his lips moving. “F*ck, why are you guys crying? Am I dead yet?!”

“General!”

The Blood Forces wiped their tears away, but even more tears came out.

For so many years, the Blood Forces were a family. Lu Yan was the caretaker of the Blood Forces. He played the role of a father, an elder brother, protecting them. He was just like an eagle, protecting his kids. He had never collapsed, even once.

But now, he was down.

Huo Yanmei covered her mouth while weeping. “Wh-What about the baby?”

Baby?

Lu Yan froze for a moment. The corners of his lips slowly kicked up into a gentle smile. “Have her… abort it.”

Don’t give birth to the child.

She was still young and had a bright future ahead, she didn’t need the child to hold her down.

He loved children, but he loved her even more.

He was reminded of the scene before she got in the car earlier on. That exact moment when she placed her hand on her stomach…

What a pity he hadn’t touched her stomach, hadn’t told the baby, Son, call me Daddy.

They weren’t fated this lifetime.

Huo Yanmei turned her head away, she could no longer bear to look at him anymore.

Lu Yan opened his eyes, looking at the darkness above him. “Blood Forces listen to my order, hold each other’s hands and go back now! This is an order!”

The hurricane had come. The next moment, or perhaps a few moments later this entire jungle would end up in a catastrophic mess. They were all pressing for time.

Li Si was crying, the Blood Forces was crying. For so many years, they had overcome so many obstacles and fought in so many battlefields together. They had become an indestructible team, but now these 12 men were sobbing their hearts out.

Li Si lifted his hand, wiping away his tears before standing up straight. “Attention, salute!”

The Blood Forces stood up straight, saluting Lu Yan.

Lu Yan lifted his arm, saluting back at them.

The cold wind blew around mercilessly, whose heart was dripping in blood?

“Let’s set off now!”

Li Si carried Huo Yanmei over his shoulders. He would definitely go back, he would definitely take Huo Yanmei back safely.

Li Si held Jian Dao’s hand and Jian Dao held another person’s hand, everyone started holding hands and they began walking forward.

They had left, slowly getting further away from Lu Yan.

The pouring storm broke their backs and they had to slouch as they walked. They were all overcome with sadness as they left.

They suddenly heard a husky voice, Lu Yan was singing—-

Being a soldier

We have no differences

We are all wearing the same thing

Our sturdy uniform

Though we say we’re different

We’re in fact all the same

We all dedicated our youth

We’re all hot-blooded youths

Though we say we’re different

We’re in fact all the same

Leaving the same trail

In the mountains and rivers

We see the moon at the frontier

Our bodies going through all kinds of weather

For our nation’s safety

We hold our rifles in our hands

Though we say we’re different

We’re in fact all the same

We all yearn for glory

We yearn for honor

This was a song made in the army—-We as soldiers.

Lu Yan didn’t know how to sing, he hadn’t sung before. The pain was burning his throat, the cold rain making even his bones feel chilly but he continued singing, all because he was their source of light.

Though he had collapsed, his heart, his persevering soul hadn’t.

He would follow them back too.

Back into their mother’s arms.

He was giving them strength.

Li Si heard it, the Blood Forces heard it. It started off with only one person joining him in the singing, then slowly everyone joined. Their voices slowly got louder.

No matter how the weather was, it didn’t beat them down. The strength he had given them was just like that large hand of a father’s, the warmth from the sun. They had all felt it.

Everyone straightened their backs, smiling through the tears.

They continued singing, not turning their heads back.

No matter how dark it is in front, they would always arrive under the brighter side.

Everyone gradually disappeared before his eyes, even their sounds of them singing faded away.

Lu Yan shut his eyes, tiredness written all over his face.

He was listening.

Hearing the sound of the storm.

He was looking.

Looking at the endless darkness.

Was he going to die just like that?

—-Ah Yan, the baby and I will be waiting for you to be back.

A tender voice resounded in his ears, his entire mind was filled with the scene in the hotel room. She crouched down in front of him, kissing his amputated leg so sincerely.

Lu Yan suddenly opened his eyes. In the darkness, his eyes were just like luminous pearls. F*ck, was this how his life was going to end? He hadn’t collapsed in a battlefield, hadn’t been shot by an enemy but rather, was squashed under a tree. What a stupid way to die!

He wanted to live on!

He wanted to live on so badly!
