The Great Thief

Chapter 1110 - Second Wind

“Ah, Second Wind,” Wendelian said, reading out the name. A quick expression of surprise flashed across her face, then, while smiling ear-to-ear, she said, “I’ll give everyone here 500 gold in exchange for this item. How about it?”

500 gold?

Although the price of gold fluctuated, each gold coin was still worth around 70-80 dollars in real life.

This meant that 500 gold would equate to 35,700 dollars.

Furthermore, this 500 gold amount wasn’t for the whole team, but 500 gold per member. All up, this totalled around 500,000 dollars. This was quite a sum, even for a professional player.

“Hehe…of course not!” Unforgettable Maple immediately exclaimed. “If you’re willing to fork out so much money for this item, then it must be a good one for Mages, not just Healers. Otherwise, you would only offer it to March Rain and Jade Flower Lover.”

“Sister Maple…can you not be like this?” Wendelian flashed Unforgettable Maple a glare.

The other players were still trying to figure out what was going on.

“Alright. Quickly share the properties of this item.” Lu Li was beginning to become impatient. He could already imagine their reactions upon reading the properties. It was unfortunate that it was not the Naglering that dropped, but Second Wind. He could only pray for Lady Luck to smile upon March Rain.

When Wendelian read out the properties, the tremendous regeneration of MP effect stole everyone’s attention. This resulted in many people wanting to buy the item straight away, turning the scene temporary auction.

Unfortunately, nobody here was willing to settle for cash and gold, besides Lu Li. However, he was not qualified to have this piece of equipment. He would have made the greatest gain if they decided to settle on cash, since they had three Ruling Sword members here.

In the end, they decided to roll it, with the Mage classes participating.

March Rain was unfortunate this time around. The number that was rolled immediately eliminated her chances at getting the item.

Lu Li began to pray that it would not go to Sorrowless. After all, Glory Capital was extremely powerful already, and with this, Sorrowless would grow even stronger.

Jade Flower Lover then rolled a 98, which seemingly answered Lu Li’s prayers.

Unless Sorrowless could roll a 99 or a 100, Jade Flower Lover, the Shaman healer, would end up with this item.

As for whether Jade Flower Lover would give this item to the other Blood Red War Flag members to use in competitions, Lu Li was unconcerned. Even if the number one Mage of Blood Red War Flag equipped this item, he was certain that they would still win against them.

91!

Sorrowless did not have bad luck, just insufficient luck. It was unfortunate that there were two others who rolled higher digits than him, so he could only watch on from afar.

“Wow, another Legendary. I’m too lucky!” Wendelian squealed in excitement. In this excitement, she accidentally revealed the item.

Could it be? Lu Li closely examined the item in front of him, then suddenly had a realisation that Wendelian could be the luckiest person in Dawn.

It was true that the idea of two Legendary items dropping could not be fathomed by any player at that moment.

Legendary items were never in abundance. They were not in abundance in his past life and would not be for a long time. Although Legendary items were generally valuable, the levels of the items need to also be taken into consideration.

Item levels were extremely important, regardless of grade.

This was the case for this item, the Naglering, which was suitable for Defense-based classes.

“Roll?” Azure Sea Breeze asked.

“You can have it.” Sea Breaker was well-known for being just and fair person, so he immediately rejected the notion of rolling.

It wasn’t that he did not want it, but he was not the Tank when he did Instance Dungeons. However, if he really wanted the item to give to his main tank, he could roll for it. It was just that he would be judged by others.

The remaining items paled in comparison to the Legendary items that dropped.

Moving forward, they came to a suspension bridge. There were Fire Elementals on the bridge in groups of three that they needed to kill to continue.

Initially, they did not pay much attention to this and treated the elementals as regular small monsters. Azure Sea Breeze grouped all the monsters together, after which the team bombarded them with skills.

However, this menial task turned out to be a struggle.

A squad wipe against monsters like this, if broadcasted, would be extremely shameful. After reviving, Unforgettable Maple straightened his robe and said, “We need to ask them to snip out this whole section. Otherwise it would be so incredibly shameful.”

The All-Star squad of every year always had a series of broadcasts, which were recordings of their fights.

Although the fans wanted to see the best players doing what they did best, they wanted to also see the All-Star players fail in a pitiful fashion.

“Let’s just figure this out first,” Jade Flower Lover said.

“Don’t use AoE skills and focus one Elemental with single-target skills first,” Sorrowless suggested. After coming so close to getting Second Wind and ultimately being unable to get it, he still presented his ideas properly and in a calm manner. “The reason behind everyone dying is because you guys are taking too much damage.”

After testing his strategy out, things began to work a lot better.

A few small monsters were not enough to even cause an obstruction to a group of such powerful players.

After crossing the bridge, they walked in a circle back towards the Forge room. The originally-sealed door was now open to the team. This was the Tomb of the Summoner.

Seven of the most prominent Dark Iron Dwarves rested in this area. Aeons ago, Emperor Thaurissan brought along seven of his most powerful Dark Iron Dwarves with his subordinates to battle. During this time, they summoned Ragnaros into Azeroth and as a result, the whole race was enslaved. They then decided to sacrifice themselves for the survival of their race. However, their souls were unable to rest, so they remained in this place.

It was hard to determine whether they deserved their recognition or not.

If they did not exist, the Dark Iron Dwarves may have not lost in the War of the Three Hammers and may have not become enslaved.

However, they had to be recognised as the strongest members in the Dark Iron Dwarven Kingdom at that time. Now, they served their new lord in Shadowforge City.

“Wait here first. Don’t start a conversation with them. I’m going to go do a quest,” Lu Li said as he stopped the others.

The others had also completed some quests in this Instance Dungeon, so they weren’t surprised when Lu Li said that he was going to do the same.

Even as Lu Li used Stealth while he went into the Tomb of the Summoner, he was immediately detected.

Lu Li quickly raised his hands and said, “I brought a tribute. I wish to learn the Dark Iron way of smelting ores. Who can teach me?”

A ghost of a Dwarven Knight, wielding a blade, came out and met Lu Li.

“Young man, come to me.”
