The Chronicles of the Immortal God

Chapter 53

“Wait, are you confessing your love to me?” Tang Ya faced continued to flush crimson as she stood up flustered.

“Yes, I am saying that you are the most important person in my heart right now.” It was a miracle that Fang Lin was able to keep a straight face while saying it. “I know that you also have feelings for my master. I just wanted to say what my heart contains. I fear that if I hide it, it might impede me in the future.”

After hearing all this, Tang Ya sat down and stared at Fang Lin.

Few minutes have passed by.

Tang Ya took a deep breath as the conflicted expression on her face disappeared. “It is true that I love your master. But, I also view you a very important person to me.” She paused, struggling to find the right words to say. Fang Lin then closed his eyes, waiting for the inevitable ‘friendzone’ flag.

“I cannot give an answer to your confession right now. Please give me some more time to think. Both you and Wang Hao are important to me. I need to sort out my feelings too. I… am very confused now.”

Fang Lin opened his eyes in surprise, not expecting Tang Ya to say that.

“That’s means I still have a chance!” He said gleefully to himself. He was about to speak to Tang Ya when she harrumphed.

“If you think you can have the liberty to be do some of your perverted stuff to me, you must be dreaming! You and I will still treat each other the same. You should just wait for my answer to your confession. Until that, we will just treat each other the same way. Understand?”

“Yes Mam!” Right now, Fang Lin was too happy to complain. Suddenly, he heard some footsteps arriving towards his quarters. He then motioned for Tang Ya to stay quiet.

The man, who was Fang Guo, then looked towards Fang Lin’s bed as he said, “Why don’t you turn around first and bend down and then wha-?”

Fang Guo saw a broadsword rushing towards his face. Because of the suddenness of the attack, he was not able to doge it. Tang Ya’s sword smashed on his head, rendering him unconscious.

Once Fang Lin saw that Fang Guo had been dealt with, they tied him up with restrictive ropes and talismans. Once sure that he was unconscious, they hid him on the underground basement to make sure he will not hear anything even if he regains consciousness. They then went back to Fang Lin’s room. Tang Ya then faced Fang Lin with her arms crossed against her chest.

“Speak.”

Fang Lin then recounted all of his experiences starting at his meeting with Wang Hao until the recent events. He said it all, including all of the yuri escapades of Fang Yu. Once he finished speaking, Fang Lin looked fearfully towards Tang Ya as he was awaiting her verdict.

“You shameless bastard. I am perfectly fine with you not telling me about your bloodline. But you know what ticks me off? It is the fact that your female body is having fun with her harem while you, are confessing your love to me. You call that love? How shameless!”

“But Fang Yu and I can be considered two different lives!”

“I know, you just told me that earlier.” Tang Ya replied drily. “But if we ever end up being together, what will you do with Fang Yu’s lovers? Will you also treat them the same way you promised to treat me? Or will you just discard them? Either way, you are going to hurt someone in the long run.”

“I….”

“Shhhh…” Tang Ya used her broadsword to prevent Fang Lin’s lips from opening (Why not use your fingers though?).

“I need time to think about your confession. Not only that, but you also need to confirm in your heart what you plan to do with your future lovelife. Once you have your answer already, tell it to me. If I am satisfied with your answer, who knows, I might give my answer too.”

Tang Ya then stood up and looked down the floor. “It seems like that guy woke up already.”

……..

“Owwww…”

Fang Guo woke up with a severe headache. He looked around him, only to realize that he had been captured.

While he was observing his surroundings, he heard some footsteps coming from above. He looked towards the source of the sound and he saw Fang Lin in his fatty form and Tang Ya approaching him.

“Kaput! I am finished!” Fang Guo slumped his head helplessly as the two arrived.

“You two cannot extract information from me. I have an explosive talisman inside me that will destroy me once I was interrogated!” Fang Guo raised his chin arrogantly as he said these words.

Fang Lin frowned as he heard Fang Guo saying this. He knew that Fang Guo was telling the truth as he sensed an unfathomably powerful talisman embedded on his chest.

“Let us just leave him here first. Then, we can go consult Venomshade. Maybe he had a medicine that can make this man tell spit the truth by himself.”

While they were still discussing on what to do with Fang Guo, Fang Lin then sensed extreme danger fluctuations coming from the captured man.

“Get back!” Tang Ya and Fang Lin jumped away from Fang Guo as he burst into flames.

“No!!!! I did not say anything!!!! Why am I burning!!!!” Fang Guo twisted in agony as he was being burned alive. His wails of pain echoed inside Fang Lin’s basement. The smell of his burning flesh also emanated out of his burning body. Fang Lin and Tang Ya could only watch in horror as Fang Guo neared his imminent death.

Suddenly, Fang Guo stopped moving. At that time, Fang Lin thought that Fang Guo died already when suddenly, the flaming body stood up by itself. The flaming body then tore apart the restrictive ropes and talismans like paper. He then looked towards the apprehensive Fang Hao and Tang Ya as he started to speak to them. If Li Daozi was here, he can recognize this voice as the gray man’s voice!

“The bastard daughter that was about to be a concubine, and the one abandoned by his bloodline. What a fitting pair!” The flaming man seemed to disregard his body that was starting to tear apart.

“Who the hell are you and what do you want?” Tang Ya aggressively said as she hefted her broadsword.

“I am just here to send a message to that Fatty.” At this point, only the head of the flaming body remained. This head remained floating in the air as it faced Fang Lin.

“If you want to be accepted back into the clan, give the sacred artifact back!”

“What sacred artifact?” Fang Lin tilted his head as if he did not know what the flaming man meant.

The sacred artifacts were artifacts that represented each clan. These artifacts can have several uses. Some can store several attacks comparable to the Sixth Stage! Some can even be highly helpful to the training of the clan members.

The only limitation for the sacred artifacts was that only those with the right bloodline can use it. That means those with the Zhou Clan Bloodline cannot use the Sacred Artifact of the Feng Clan and vice versa.

The Sacred Artifact of the Fang Clan were a set of Enlightenment Spirit Incense. Once lit, the smoke from the essence can allow a Fang Clan member to reach the state of ‘Immortal Enlightenment’! This kind of enlightenment will allow an Immortal Cultivator to affirm their Dao and stabilize their cultivation.

Because of the importance of the incense, the Fang Clan only allows those with the highest contributions to the sect to get a whiff from the incense. Yes, just a whiff. It was because the Enlightenment Spirit Incense were fairly limited in number and once burned, they can never be used again.

“Stop spouting nonsense! When you were left behind on the Mystical Forest, the Sacred Artifact also disappeared! We tried to search everywhere, but we found no traces of it! So we used some divination techniques. It was then that we realized that the artifact was with you! Now, return it to us! The clan then might think about welcoming you back!”

“Umm actually…. ” Fang Lin started to scratch his head. “I think you might not be able to get it back.”

“What do you mean!”

“I actually used it all up as an offering on my master’s coffin.”

If anyone can remember, Fang Lin used to burn incense as a way to thank Wang Hao’s coffin before he was able to unseal it (Chapter 1). That incense was the Enlightenment Spirit Incense!

The flaming man could tell that Fang Lin was not lying.

“No!!!!!” The shout of despair was cut off as the flaming head also disintegrated under the intense heat.

Fang Lin and Tang Ya stared at the ashes scattered on the floor, not speaking a word.

“Well, they must have been really INCENSED by what I said.”

“Ugh Fang Lin, can you stop with those puns?”

“…..”
