Chapter 531 - Leaving Her Turned Out to Be So Painful
She only noticed the wounds on his leg, but didn’t think that his back was injured as well.
“Sangsang, it really hurts so much.” Nian Junting raised his pale face weakly from the hospital bed.
In fact, those injuries were nothing to someone like him who used to serve in the special forces. However, he just wanted to pretend to suffer when he saw the sorrowful look on Luosang’s face. He had never pretended to be suffering great pain before, so he only came up with the words, “it hurts,” even though he had been trying to think of more. He had no relevant experience. However, it worked pretty well. Every time he said, “It hurts,” Luosang felt her heart twitch in pain.
“The wounds will scab up and heal gradually.” The doctor couldn’t help but roll his eyes at the man on the bed. He was tall and strong, but why was he so afraid of the pain? The wound on his back didn’t need any bandage, yet he had asked for one and was willing to pay extra money for the bandage.
“Who’s the patient’s family member? Go and pay the medical fees. He doesn’t need to stay in the hospital, but he does need to have an intravenous drip for a week to diminish the inflammation.”
Nian Junting hurriedly pointed at Luosang and said, “Her, she’s my family.”
Lousing nodded and said, “I’ll pay and get the medicine.”
“Come back quickly. It hurts so, so much.” Nian Junting’s dark eyes were filled with a pitiful look.
“Okay, I’ll be back in a minute.” Luosang ran toward the payment office.
Yan Su was speechless. Mr. Nian was obviously pretending, but Luosang was too worried about him to tell.
“Why are you still looking at me? The irrelevant people should disappear now.” The look in Nian Junting’s eyes changed suddenly. He glanced at the people around him with icy cold eyes, saying, “You’re not my family.”
Yan Su didn’t know what to say. She believed that she understood Luosang’s feelings now. Sometimes, she wanted to beat Nian Junting up. Yan Su grabbed Qiao Xue and said, “Mr. Nian, we’re leaving, then.”
Luosang made the payment, then picked up the medicine, sent it to the registry of the infusion room, and then came back to the ward. Many people were there for infusion treatments. Nian Junting’s ward had three beds in it. He quietly laid on the bed in the middle with a kid on his left and an elderly man on his right. Five or six family members of the other two patients were crowding the ward as well.
Luosang forced her way in. She worried that he might catch a cold, so she hurriedly spread the quilt out and gently put it on him.
Nian Junting turned back to look at her and said with a frown, “Luo, you’re back. I thought you had left.”
Luosang wanted to laugh, but she was also very distressed by Nian Junting’s situation. “I was paying for the medicine, as I said. Where’s Su and the others?”
“They left. I only want you here with me.” Nian Junting looked at her quietly. His lips were pale, and that made him look like a pitiful little animal.
Luosang’s heart was awfully softened, but still, she teased, “Where’s your ex-girlfriend? Don’t you want her to be with you? I’m your ex-ex-girlfriend now. Don’t mix it up.”
Nian Junting blinked. He could not tell her that he had hired that woman to pretend to be his girlfriend, because doing that would make him lose face. A short while later, he said, “I don’t want her. I want you.”
Luosang sat on the edge of the hospital bed and lowered her head to gaze at Nian Junting. “Didn’t you say that you’ve recovered already, and that you can replace me anytime you want to?”
Nian Junting’s face grew increasingly stiff. He really wanted to go back in a time machine and strangle himself before he had said those words. During the past two weeks, every day seemed like a year to him. He actually counted the days and hoped that her new semester could begin sooner, so she would come back from Shanghai. He waited day after day, and finally, she was back.
It was the very first time he had waited for someone in that way. Leaving her had turned out to be so painful. He wanted to see her every moment.
