Chapter 53
Chapter 53 – Daily Income of Ten Thousand
Upon opening the door, Chen Yu found that it was indeed his express delivery.
“Jinzhou City’s Most Handsome Man?”
“That’s right. That’s me,” Chen Yu said, nodding.
“…Please sign here,” the courier from SF Express said, passing an electronic tablet to Chen Yu. He then ran to the nearby elevator and pulled out a small cart piled with various packages, saying, “These are all for you.”
“Alright.”
After signing off on the delivery, Chen Yu moved all of the packages into the house with the courier’s help.
“Sorry for the trouble.”
With a steady income of 10,000 daily, he would become a millionaire in just a little more than three months. At that time, his family could move to a larger house.
Also, from now on, they would no longer have to worry about putting food on the table.
His little sisters could also dress better.
His parents would no longer need to work as hard as before, either. If they wanted to, they could go on a date and watch movies or do some gardening. He might even end up getting another little sister.
Without my knowing it, I’ve already become so outstanding at the age of 18. Raising his head and looking at his ceiling, Chen Yu could not help chuckling to himself. I can already provide for the entire family. I truly am amazing.
However, in the middle of his daydreams, Chen Yu suddenly realized a problem.
His neighbors and his school’s faculty knew his family conditions. If his family suddenly became rich, it would definitely attract a lot of people’s attention—particularly that of the government officials “searching” for him.
It seems I still need to maintain a low profile and spend my money stealthily.
Picking up his phone and taking a look at the time, Chen Yu gave his body a stretch before copying the 100-plus edited videos onto the external hard drive. He then closed his laptop, picked up his bag, and left the house.
He mailed the external hard drive at the nearest SF Express station, according to the sender’s address written on the package he previously received, then made his way to Sixth High.
With the current situation, he could no longer casually skip school like before. He needed to maintain a low profile to avoid attracting the attention of those five officials from Beijing as much as possible.
Although, right now, he might’ve caught those people’s attention already.
…
Two days later, Friday:
Waking up in bed, Chen Yu patted his body and gave his room a quick look. After finding nothing amiss, he breathed out a sigh of relief.
Last night was a peaceful night. Nobody came to “knife” me.
He got out of bed and went to wash up in the bathroom. When he returned to his room and picked up his phone, he noticed that he had plenty of unread messages, with the majority coming from “Blooming Clouds.”
[Chen Yu: “Sorry, I slept early last night, so I didn’t see your messages.”]
[Blooming Clouds: “You’re finally awake.”]
[Chen Yu: “You’re up quite early.”]
[Blooming Clouds: “I didn’t sleep at all last night!”]
[Chen Yu: “Oh? You must’ve received the hard drive. Are you done watching the videos?”]
[Blooming Clouds: “I’ve watched them all.”]
[Chen Yu: “How’s the quality?”]
[Blooming Clouds: “They all pass.”]
[Chen Yu: “Send the money over, then.”]
[Blooming Clouds: “I’ll send the money in a moment. Right now, I have a question I want to ask you.”]
[Chen Yu: “What question?”]
[Blooming Clouds: “How many workers does your studio have? How did you edit all these videos so quickly?”]
[Chen Yu: “It’s a secret. Any other questions? If not, hurry up and send me the money. The total is 13,560, but I’ll round it off for you.”]
[Blooming Clouds: “So, 13,000? I’ll send it to you now.”]
[Chen Yu: “14,000.”]
[Blooming Clouds: “…”]
