Because of the special conditions in the Underworld, most of the creatures that live there were mostly made up of bones, while only a minority has their own flesh developed. These creatures could be considered the more powerful creatures in the Underworld.
As for the souls that go in the Underworld, their bodies were mostly incorporeal. The physical bodies that they develop were from their mastery of the ‘Underworld Tactics’.
The Underworld Tactics allow a soul to have a corporeal form. This means that a soul will no longer need a vessel to interact with the material realm. The soul itself will be the physical body.
Once a soul steps on the First Stage in the Underworld Tactics, they will have their own soul take the form of their former physical bodies. But this body can only stay that way in the Underworld itself. Once they go out of the Underworld, their bodies will look like moving corpses only.
The higher the stage a soul can reach in the Underworld Tactics, the more form of their body they can retain in the material realm. Only at the peak of the Underworld Tactics will the developed body be retained wherever the souls go.
The weakness of this practitioner technique though was the vulnerability of the developed body.
Originally, a normal living being has an incorporeal soul housed in a physical body. This means that most of the damage a living being can receive were mostly on their body. As for the soul, it was really hard to damage it since it was incorporeal and hidden.
Only those focused with soul arts can damage and control souls. This way of protecting the soul was normal, since bodily injuries can heal in time, but injuries on the soul were difficult to recover from.
But this protection does not exist for the Underworld residents.
Their body was their soul. That means damaging their bodies was equivalent to damaging their souls too. Any injuries that they receive will take far much longer to heal.
“As a thanks for you gifting me with such a delectable person, I decided to give all of you some time to prepare. I shall give all of you 12 hours to prepare for war!”
“What?” Shocked reactions could be heard from the opposing camps as they heard Siwang Wangzi’s declaration. Even Ling Tian could stare blankly at the rapid turn of events.
“Wait Young Master! Are you sure about that?” The old man said worriedly. He nervously fiddled with his staff as he continued. “I think Yama will not be happy about this….”
“Do not worry, I can still win, no matter what the situation is.” Siwang Wangzi replied imperiously. He then gave a suspicious look on the old man as he said,
“Do you think someone like me can be defeated by such country bumpkins? Hmph! As if that will happen!”
“Yes, Young Master, you really are the greatest of all, the one who shall be the King!”
Actually, the only reason Siwang Wangzi wanted to give the Solstice Kingdom 12 hours of free time was because he wanted to spend this 12 hours ‘invigorating’ himself with Wang Hao. As for what happens in that ‘invigoration’, only Siwang Wangzi and Wang Hao will know.
Siwang Wangzi nodded, seemingly satisfied from the old man’s praise. He then faced the army as he commanded,
“Go back for now! I have granted them some little amnesty. But when we go back later, we will not hold back. We shall celebrate on their dead bodies!”
“Yes, My Lord!!!!” The 13th Battalion saluted Siwang Wangzi as they started marching back to the portal.
Silence prevailed as all of the invaders entered the portal. A few minutes passed, and any traces of them have disappeared. The dragon then let out a sad roar as the portal disappeared. It fell on the ground, sobbing from all that happened.
“Wow, that was… something.” Fang Yu’s awed voice broke the silence.
“What he did was a great help for this world.” Ling Tian said smilingly. He was not worried, since he knows that Wang Hao has something special on him that will make him survive living in the Underworld. Of course, Fang Yu who knew her master’s abilities, was sure he will survive his situation.
The only problem they have is whether Wang Hao will survive the 12-hour long ‘activity’ that he will have with Siwang Wangzi. Everyone in the scene could see Siwang Wangzi literally slobbering all over Wang Hao. They could only pray that Wang Hao can endure that too.
“You two are heartless!” Tang Ya’s shout however, just fell on some deaf ears.
