Growing Fond of You, Mr Nian

Chapter 1139 - The Landlord Is Sitting Right in front of You

Luosang, “…”

Polyp your head.

How could he talk that way about his own son?

The baby was only two days old, but Nian Junting had already had several jealous outbursts.

“You’re wrong. You’re the polyp,” Luosang said unceremoniously.

“Good for you, Xu Luosang,” Nian Junting said angrily as he finished changing the baby’s diaper and plopped the infant in his crib. Then he stomped angrily into the bathroom and changed into his pants.

When he was out of the room, he ignored everyone.

Luosang decided to let out a loud yelp. He sprinted to her side and asked anxiously, “What’s wrong, the wound hurting again?”

“Yeah,” Luosang nodded her head sulkily, “Help me lie down in bed, sitting up hurts so much.”

Nian Junting carefully laid her down flat on the bed.

Luosang took this opportunity to grab his wrist, “Remember to go to the apartment and get some stuff for me; Yan Su is returning the keys to the place soon.”

“That’s no big deal, the landlord is sitting right in front of you,” Nian Junting said casually.

Luosang was stunned, “You… are the landlord?”

Nian Junting gave her a side glance, “You girls aren’t very observant. Didn’t you notice anything strange when you went to pay the electricity and water bills? You’re my wife. How could I let you rent your own place? I bought the apartment the moment you guys moved in.”

“Why… didn’t you tell me?” Luosang asked.

Nian Junting explained after seeing her puzzled expression, “You didn’t even let me pay your rent, forget about buying a place for you. I decided that the best way to go about it was to find an apartment for you guys and to secretly buy the house.”

“Junting, you’re the best!” Luosang grabbed him and planted a kiss on his hands, “You’ve done so much for me. Why didn’t you tell me about this after we got married? Yan Su has been paying you rent, hasn’t she?”

“I forgot about it later on,” Nian Junting sighed, “I have so many houses. Why would I remember this tiny one that’s smaller than the bathroom of my own house? As for Yan Su, of course, I’d still be charging her rent. She’s not my girlfriend. I’d never let any woman other than my wife, my mother or Nian Xi live in my house free. It’s a matter of principle.”

“…”

And he would never have an extramarital affair, either.

“Anyway, how many properties do you have?” Luosang asked suddenly with narrowed eyes, “How many private assets did you hide from me?”

Nian Junting froze, Oh no! I just let the cat out of the bag, he thought to himself.

Luosang grumbled, “I know you have a lot of properties. I’ll give you a day to think about all of your estates. I want to register them.”

“…”

Nian Junting was full of regret: He should have been more careful about what he said. Forget it—his money was meant for his wife anyway.

Mo Liuxi went straight to the performing arts faculty after school looking for An Ning.

He found out she wasn’t there.

“An Ning? She asked for a leave of absence yesterday. She said she was going to Hengdian to film a show,” her professor said. “I’m not sure about the project, I think it is just a small role. She’ll be there over New Year’s. I think she’s coming back next semester.”

“Oh really?” Mo Liuxi laughed coldly to himself. What a coincidence.

It sounded as if she was feeling guilty about something and decided to escape for a while.

She didn’t heed his warning last time; he wasn’t about to let her off the hook so easily now.

He fished out his phone from his pocket and dialed a number, “Help me check if there’s a Ximei student in Hengdian named An Ning who’s filming a project there. Let me know which project it is, I’ll make sure she’s removed from it. Also, find ways to get her expelled from school. I’ll make sure she never works in this industry in her entire life.”
