Chapter 150
No. 5 wiped some blood that dripped from his mask as he and his companions left the Forest of Death. From the looks of it, they suffered some injuries on the skirmish.
“Tsk. Those undead sure are tough.” No. 2 muttered as she stopped the intense trembling in her body, clearly due to some injuries. Her graceful curves indicate that she had a buxom body, capable of attracting anyone. Good thing she always wore loose robes. “Even if they were just at the peak of the Dao Domain Stage, they were able to ask some power from the Forest of Death to raise their battle prowess!”
“And each of us had to fight two of them at once.” No. 4 said tacitly, in agreement with No. 2. No. 4 had a stocky body, with a large axe on his back. “With that, our fight with them was almost a tie.”
“Hmmph! Only when we used our lifeblood weapons that we were able to kill them!” No. 1, who was the smallest of them shrilly said. No. 1’s gender was unknown, but his/height was around that of a child. He/she gave No. 3 a look as he/she said,
“What do you think, No. 3?”
“……..” No. 3 said nothing, as he flew behind No. 5. His aura indicates that he wants to be ignored altogether. The others took no offense of it. They must have been used to his silence already.
No. 5 then said sternly,
“Even though we managed to destroy their bodies, we actually were not able to kill them.”
“Because of that object in the Forest of Death?” No. 1 said with a bored voice. It seems like he also knew that the Undead were not that easy to kill.
“Yes. You can say that all the creatures of the forest were being fueled to live by that object. Even if their bodies were destroyed, that object will just reconstruct their bodies, and voila, they’re back!”
With their power weakened and no protection from the Forest of Death, their souls will be easy pickings to the practitioners who detect them.
These risks basically stopped any Undead to wander outside with possessed bodies.
But amazingly, the Undead Wolf and Deer chose to do that!
Right now, they have the power level of Second Stage Practitioners. This was a far drop from their peak Fifth Stage level.
From the way the wolf was walking, he seems to follow the path Fang Lin and Xue’er took. The deer followed behind him silently, increasing her speed as his strides began to lengthen.
Minutes later, and they gained perfect control of their bodies. They were now running at full speed, rushing towards the path towards the Solstice Kingdom!
While they were running, the wolf faced the deer. He had a confused expression on his face as he said,
“I dared to put myself on this danger because I felt that I still have to find a way to help my daughter. Even if it may cost my life, I will do anything to help her! But as for you, you have no relation with her. Well, you might be her step-mother in the future, but are you really that willing to put yourself in danger just to accompany me?”
“Hmmph!” The deer replied arrogantly. She blatantly avoided the wolf’s gaze as she said,
“Remember, you are my rival! I cannot just allow you to go play somewhere else without me! I still have to prove that I am better than you!”
“………. Ok then.” Even though he felt her reasoning was twisted and flawed, the wolf took no notice of it. “Well then, let’s see who can reach my daughter first. The loser has to follow a request from the winner.”
“……… Fine!” Dust billowed the air as they pushed their bodies to the limits.
…………………
No. 5 was whistling to himself merrily as he chased Fang Lin with his companions. He and the punishers had seen Fang Lin and his companions entering a spirit ship earlier. They could not prevent them from leaving, not with the Undead they were fighting earlier.
But he had no worries of them having a head start. He knew that with the movement speed of the Punishers, catching up to them will be just a matter of time.
“Fang Lin… time for you to go back.” The punishers slowed a little when they saw Fang Lin’s spirit ship leisurely moving across the sky.
Once he saw it, No.5 started to make his move. But before he and the other punishers could attack, they saw something that made their blood run cold.
The door at the back of the spirit ship was open, and they could see a person standing there. But this person was naked, and was bounded by talismans! This person shivered from the cold and the humiliation that he was feeling now.
This person was Fang Xiushang!
Fang Lin stared at the punishers whose souls seemed to fly out of their bodies. He managed to stop himself from laughing as he said,
“Well, we all need to do some talking.”
