Chapter 1644 - Scrambling for the Spiritual Lands
Jiang Qingyu and Gao Yue were sitting at the table. They were at home, but they both felt uneasy.
They had always thought icy beauty was just a dramatic way to describe women. However, to their surprise, icy beauties did exist in this world.
Soon, Gao Yue was grinning from ear to ear. She was very satisfied with this future daughter-in-law. Because she had understood that Ye Xue’s aloofness was only due to her spiritual power.
Sitting there, Ye Xue had been even more nervous than Gao Yue and Jiang Qingyu were.
All of a sudden, Gao Yue looked at Jiang Chen. She said in an unhappy voice, “I’ve heard nothing from you over the past three years. And now you suddenly show up out of the blue. You are really very good at causing trouble.”
And even though that sounded like a criticism, she sounded very loving.
“It’s only because I missed home too much,” Jiang Chen said with a smile, embarrassed.
“You should have let us know so that we could’ve made some preparations. You arrived back home so suddenly with Ye Xue. That’s not a proper thing to do with a decent young lady,” Gao Yue said.
“Supreme Venerable, we have got many visitors outside.” Someone came inside to report to Jiang Chen at this moment.
Jiang Chen and Wu Ming exchanged a look. Due to what had happened last night, it was normal that they had visitors. They were curious to see who was behind the rout of the three forces.
Jiang Chen saw the faces of the race which bore him a deep hatred as soon as he went outside: the Wizards!
But it was not only them. The Sovereign Spirit Palace and the Xia had also come. There were more than 100 people in all. They were all acting aggressive and unkind.
“Heavenly Palace, you are way too cruel! Where the three forces were residing was where the Worlds of Meson had originally been. It belonged to them. Are you trying to kill all of us?”
A well-proportioned woman with hair that fell past her waist came forward from the Wizards.
“What did you say? Louder. I couldn’t hear you.” Jiang Chen responded snottily. Then he raised his right hand, and the Devil Slaughter Tower flew into the air.
WOW!
All these people recognized this weapon. They were so scared that they involuntarily took some steps back, including that female Wizard.
“When the Endless Continent was formed, all the forces agreed that it was forbidden to attack the incorporated Worlds of Meson,” someone said in a loud voice.
“Oh? So, were they allowed to attack us in the Heavenly Palace? What were you doing then? And do you need me to remind you how the Endless Continent came into existence?” asked Jiang Chen with a cold smile.
His last question made everyone speechless.
Rumor had it that Jiang Chen had been saved by the Will of the Natural Law and that it was he who had rescued the Black Yellow Great World. And this rumor had been widely spread.
Some people bought it, while others did not.
However, it was the allied forces of all the races who had witnessed that miracle with their own eyes.
One person told it to ten people, and then those ten people told it to 100 people. In this way, the news spread really fast. It was impossible not to believe it.
Actually, there were witnesses of that miracle among those visitors standing here today.
“Are you trying to say you saved the Black Yellow Great World? Huh, not even one force has confirmed that.” This female Wizard was being very hostile to Jiang Chen.
It wasn’t weird. Jiang Chen had killed many talented Wizards, and even their Wizard King had been killed by the Devil Slaughter Tower.
The Wizards had been so enraged back then. They had even gone to the Realm of Nine Heavens, intending to kill all of Jiang Chen’s friends and family members.
They really had some grudges that would probably never be reconciled.
To make these hostile Wizards believe that Jiang Chen was the one who had saved the world, it would probably be easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle.
“Jiang Chen, we’re not here to talk about this.”
No one wanted to waste their time on this topic.
If Jiang Chen had been dead, then they would have been more than happy to admit that Jiang Chen was the world’s savior. Anyway, he was a dead man. No matter how many honors he’d had, it wouldn’t matter.
The thing was Jiang Chen was still alive. If the whole world praised him to the skies, he would be another Long Xing, and even greater than Long Xing.
“Then what are you here for? To back up those three forces and eliminate us in the Heavenly Palace? Just you, a little more than 100 people?”
