Chapter 637 - A Gentleman Is Going to Read a Love Poem for Luosang
Seeing her Young Master acting like a soulless man, Sister Lan felt heartburn. “Young Master, if you can’t forget her, just go after her. As the old saying goes, a good girl is afraid of the stubborn wolf,” she said.
“Can I win her back?” Nian Junting asked. He believed that she didn’t like him, and that in her eyes, he was the problem.
“As the old saying goes, as long as the thief works hard enough, no girlfriend can’t be stolen,” Sister Lan encouraged him.
“You call me a thief?” Nian Junting glared at her with sharp eyes. “She was my girlfriend a couple of days ago.”
“I was just trying to make a metaphor. I didn’t spend much time in school,” said Sister Lan. “I’m gonna say something honest to you, but you have to promise that you won’t fire me for that.”
“Say it.” Nian Junting raised a hand. “I promise I won’t fire you.”
“You acted like a big boss at home.” Sister Lan couldn’t help but start accusing him. “You’re unreasonable and arrogant. And, you always said that Sangsang pursued you first. If you ask me, I’d say that’s unfair. When she was your caregiver, she did nothing inappropriate, but you said that she tried to seduce you. And, after she became your girlfriend, you hardly bought her flowers or made romantic plans for her. The other boys always peel shrimp and crab for their girlfriends, but you always made her serve you. And you always found all sorts of excuses to make her cook for you. When you guys eat fruit, you sometimes order her to feed you. Also, you sometimes pretended that your legs were broken and asked her to carry you to bed. Apart from all that, you forbade her from talking to other men. You kept track of her whereabouts every single second, as if you’re the FBI. Seriously, how could you do that? I never even did the same to my son.” As Sister Lan finished talking, the entire room fell into silence. Only the noise of the rain could be heard from the outside.
Nian Junting stood on the stairs and looked down at her ragingly, as if he were going to eat her. What did she just say? Was he unreasonable and arrogant? How could she use those awful words on him? He wanted to tear Sister Lan into pieces so much.
Sister Lan flinched, saying, “You said that you wouldn’t fire me.”
“I won’t fire you, but I’ll deduct your wages.” Nian Junting sneered, turned, and walked upstairs. In the bedroom, he found traces of Luosang all over the room. They whispered to each other on the bed, fed each other on the couch. When he was working behind the desk, she put her arms around him from behind. Nian Junting felt a pain in his chest. It hurt so much that he even felt suffocated.
He couldn’t live without her. He was so sure about that. By any means, he needed to win her back.
…
Luosang sat in the classroom, feeling heavy-headed. She couldn’t sleep last night, because she was worrying about Nian Junting. She guessed that he wouldn’t come back to find her, as she had said such cruel words to him yesterday. Please don’t come back. I might collapse if I need to say worse things to you, she prayed silently.
“Are you okay?” Chi Shengxu asked in concern.
“I’m fine. Thank you for doing me this favor.” Luosang gave a bitter smile.
“I guess Nian Junting wouldn’t believe it if you did it with someone else. After all, he’s been seeing me as his number one rival in love.” Chi Shengxu gave her a complicated smile. “You like him so much. I’m surprised that I’m qualified to be his rival in love. This is really unbelievable.”
She recalled how Nian Junting was jealous of Chi Shengxu. Back then, she felt that he was unreasonable, but now, she was suddenly full of sweetness.
“Dear students, here is a special notice.” An announcer’s voice could suddenly be heard. “A gentleman whose name is Nian Junting is going to read a love poem for Luo Sang from the Broadcasting Department.”
