Chapter 1214 - She Hasn’t Been Good
Xuan Ying froze when he saw the bright red blood.
Tick tock.
Tick tock.
One drop, two drops, three drops… blood trickled down the sheets.
He stretched his arm out, pulling the silk blanket covering her body away…
Feng Lingxue lay on the bed quietly, she was bleeding and blood just started spreading around her, she was like a blood-stained flower, exuding a deathly yet charming aura that made one gasp.
Xuan Ying’s hands were burning, lowering his eyes, her blood had stained his fingertips. He felt as though he was burned by scalding hot lava, instantly retracting his hands.
In these past three years, his hands had been stained with blood on his political journey.
What caused her to break down like that?
Beep–
The ECG machine made an alarming beep again, the line dipping before it became steady. Her vitals were weak.
“Silver Mask King, though we’ve managed to resuscitate the patient, she’s not in a good condition and there’s a possibility that her heart will stop beating at any time. Silver Mask King, I’d advise you to get psychological treatment for the patient. She doesn’t only need treatment for her physical health, but also her mental health.”
As Xuan Ying walked over to the bed robotically, he lowered his eyes to check on her. Her face was completely pale, but she was still ravishing even when her eyes were closed as she lay on the bed. No matter how low she was, her beauty remained.
Her lips were chapped.
She should have some water.
Right!
Xuan Ying quickly poured a glass of water, dipping a cotton bud inside and dabbed it over her chapped lips.
Soon, two drops of water trickled down the corners of her mouth, dripping into her neck.
What was going on?
Xuan Ying looked at her, feeling perplexed. “Feng Lingxue, drink the water, why aren’t you drinking? You’re doing it on purpose right? It’s… part of your antics, you’re… just trying to get me to back down! Open your eyes now, stop feigning! It’s not over between us, don’t even think about dumping me!”
Xuan Ying grasped Feng Lingxue’s shoulders, shaking her body.
Beep–
The ECG machine made an alarming sound again.
“Silver Mask King, please stop now! You’re going to kill her if you continue!” The doctor and nurses rushed forward to stop Xuan Ying.
Ah Zhou ran over. “Master, that’s enough!”
Xuan Ying let go of his grip, freezing on the spot. His eyes turned bloodshot and his chest heaved up and down. With his hand on his forehead, he stepped out of the room.
Once he got outside, he sent one forceful punch on the wall. He wasn’t in a good state of mind, he was at the brink of breaking down, like an insane person.
“Ha, ha ha.” He forced out the laugh.
Feng Lingxue, why do you always win?
Look, you’ve won again.
She would only take one try to strike his heart where it hurt the most.
Now, his heart was in pain. It was really painful, it hurt to even breathe.
“Master, I’ve run some investigations. Mexico’s Guding family has a really formidable doctor named Sikong. He’s known as the second Hua Tuo[1]. If we can manage to get Doctor Sikong to treat Miss Feng, I believe Miss Feng will recover in no time.”
Xuan Ying’s head remained low, his dry throat moved. “What are you waiting for? Invite him over.”
“Doctor Sikong has refused our invitation.”
Xuan Ying’s eyes narrowed, exuding a dangerous aura. “Get our men to capture him!”
“Master, the Guding family is influential in Mexico and no one dares to mess with them. Doctor Sikong is not only the leader of the Herbal Room, a powerful medical organization, he’s also the second young master of the Guding family, but he also has a strong background and I don’t think we should go face to face with him. I have another idea. The young madam of the Guding family, Lin Shiyu is best friends with the West Duke’s elder sister, Tang Mo’er. We can perhaps give Miss Tang a call and ask her for a favor.”
Hearing those words, Xuan Ying paused for a few moments. Whipping out his phone, his fingers punched an unfamiliar number.
…
West Duke’s wedding was set for three days later. The entire West Palace was busy working nonstop on getting the venue prepared.
Tang Mo’er was pasting a ‘double happiness’ character on the room door when she had an incoming phone call.
