Chapter 228
“Sorry Great One, but this lowly one will be unable to do that.” Genie hung his head in shame. “I was just given this name to mock the Djinns. I originally was with them, but my appearance made them shun me. When I was eventually recruited, my boss knew of my origins, so he gave me the name Genie, just to insinuate that this ugly one was connected to the Djinns.”
“Djinns?” Fang Yu started to give Genie a more appraising look. She did not expect that this creature in front of her actually was a Djinn!
Djinns were ancient spirits and beings born from nature. It was said that each of them possesses the capabilities to harness powers beyond comprehension. There are more rumors about them, but Fang Yu found these additional rumors so overrated that she only believed in the textbook definition.
“….” Fang Yu knew that what this creature was telling was the truth. She then looked at Genie while saying,
“Then the thing that happened to me earlier was done by your ability as a Djinn?”
“Yes, this lowly confirms it.” Genie replied quickly. He hesitated for a while, before gritting his teeth and showing Fang Yu a bronze disk. He looked at Fang Yu while saying,
“This lowly one’s power as a Djinn is on this item. I can do the things I did to you earlier with this.”
“Ah, so the rumors about a Djinn’s power being related to items was true then?”
“Not just some items Great One, these are treasures born of the universe. Only the djinns are capable of wielding it!” Genie said with a high-pitch on his voice. He managed to calm himself in time before trembling in front of Fang Yu once more. “Forgive this lowly one’s outburst”
“Yeah, yeah, you’re forgiven now.” Fang Yu replied lazily. She then let out a sigh as she looked around her. Right now, she was in a planet with a gluttonous baby and a discount genie. Nothing can get better than this right?
Fang Yu then sighed, realizing that Genie does not want to continue talking about this matter anymore.
“Sigh. Now how do we find Argomeda?” Fang Yu knew that Andromeda will be doing her best to look for them. Fang Yu knew that the place with the highest possibility of having Andromeda was the nearest settlement in this area.
“Time to use these suits again.” Fang Yu then looked at Genie as if she was about to ask something. Genie realized what Fang Yu’s query will be. Genie laid out her palm, showing the bronze disk. The disk floated in front of Genie and expanded outwards. Now, the disk was as wide as a wheel of a carriage.
Genie hopped on the floating disk, which surprisingly stayed afloat.
Fang Yu slightly snorted at seeing this, realizing the power of Djinn’s items were not what she thought it was.
Fang Yu’s suit then let out a roar as is guided Fang Yu to the nearest settlement. Genie followed closely behind her, with her disk letting out some humming sounds. As for Tang Li, she was still asleep, clutching Fang Yu’s head tightly.
Fang Yu was lucky she still had her hair on her head.
…
Immortal God Sect, Immortal Continent.
Wang Hao watched lazily as Fang Lin along with the other applicants were teleported to the God Continent. He let out a sigh as he stood up from his chair. Thea and Fang Xingwei both stood up, giving Wang Hao a wary look upon seeing the mischievous glint on his eyes.
“Your bribe against Tang Ya might be effective, but you should not abuse the authority given to you.” Thea said slowly. “You must also think of us, your followers.” Fang Xingwei nodded hastily, indicating her agreement.
“Huh? Do you think I am up to no good right now?” Wang Hao shook his head sadly. “Is that what you think I am?”
“Yes, we do.”
“….” Wang Hao let out an exasperated sigh after hearing this. He then looked at the gates of the Immortal God Sect. No, not the gates, way beyond the gates. Thea, who noticed Wang Hao’s gaze immediately realized what he was looking at. Fang Xingwei took a second late to realize it too.
Wang Hao flexed his arms as Thea and Fang Xingwei alerted the remaining disciples of the Immortal God Sect.
Wang Hao’s gaze was still concentrated outside the Immortal God Sect. He let out an excited smile as he muttered,
“Now, it’s time for a classic tower defense game!”
