The Great Thief

Chapter 1769 - Changing Equipment

Before Lu Li entered the Instance Dungeon, Sky Moon brought everyone to fight the previous Boss and analyze Kel’Thuzad’s abilities.

Meanwhile, Lu Li repaired his own equipment. He inlayed a Strengthening Stone and found someone to re-enchant it.

His 4-piece T3 set had finally been produced, at the cost of quite a few materials in his storehouse. Over the last few days, Lu Li had been suffering. Everyone was currently producing their T3 set, and the number of rare materials that this required in the current patch was simply ridiculous.

Bonescythe Legplates (Exquisite Epic): Armor 180, Agility +180, Strength +120, Movement Speed +15, 3 Slots. Special Effect 1: Kick +1. Special Effect 2: After consecutive critical hits, Evasion increases by 20%. Special Effect 3: Knee Hit. Use: Use your kneecaps to attack an opponent, dealing 160% basic damage. There is also a chance of paralyzing the opponent for 30 seconds. Cooldown time of 15 minutes, Level Requirement: 60, Durability: 380/380.

This was a pair of Exquisite Epic trousers, so of course, its attributes couldn’t be bad.

Those who saw the amount of armor it provided knew. If this pair of trousers provided armor, this would be added to the other clothing that Lu Li was wearing. This item of clothing was an individual piece that was even better that an average T3 set piece.

There was an ‘Exquisite’ prefix added to the title of the equipment, which indicated that its grade had been increased.

Bonescythe Helmet (Epic): Armor 140, Agility +180, Strength +180, Evasion increases by 30, 2 slots. Special Effect 1: Gouge +1, Special Effect 2: Fog. The user transforms into a light fog, forcing them into a state of Stealth. Increases Stealth by 20% and grants the ability to pass through obstacles. Cooldown of 2 minutes. Special Effect 3: Frigid Blood. Your head becomes as cold as a block of ice. Grants immunity to against Fear and other similar spells for 30 seconds, cooldown of 20 minutes. Level requirement: 60, Durability: 360/360.

This piece of equipment was relatively average. It could be considered the worst piece of Epic equipment, with mediocre attributes.

Looking again at his own T2 headgear, he didn’t even think that that T3 one was better than it.

Bloodfang Headcloth (Flawless Epic): Armor 150, Agility +180, Strength +120, Stun Resistance +35, 3 slots. Special Effect 1: Blind +1. Special Effect 2: Darkness Insight. After use, Detection increases, with an increased chance of finding hidden units within 40 feet for 10 seconds, cooldown of 30 minutes. Special Effect 3: Death Gaze. Inflict an opponent with Fear for 3 seconds or until the target is attacked. Level requirement: 60, Durability 400/400.

Apart from their difference in being T2 and T3, the levels at which these two were crafted were different too. One was ordinary, while the other was Flawless.

It was clear that the Flawless level was definitely able to increase the equipment’s grade. There

wasn’t a major difference in their attributes, but there were groundbreaking differences in the two special effects of the Bloodfang Headcloth.

Set equipment with the same name didn’t necessarily have the same attributes.

The first two attributes of the previous Bonescythe Helmet were considered to be common attributes. Most T3 Thief helmets possessed these attributes, and at most, there would be slight nuances in their special effects. However, Special Effect 3 was a new one, replacing the previous effect which wasn’t all that useful.

Knee Hit was like another control skill, and it could also disrupt the rhythm of an opponent in the middle of a battle.

Special Effect 2 was another escaping skill. It appeared to be quite useful, but everyone had it. An experienced competitor had no trouble escaping the fog that a Thief created.

Originally, Lu Li had a level 45 belt, which provided this Special Effect when it was worn.

Before others were aware of it, it was amazing when it was used. In other words, when you were facing an average opponent, it was effective. But in competitions at such a high level, Lu Li would rather use other escaping methods.

Lu Li didn’t plan to get rid of Bloodfang Headcloth. He could keep rotating between the two. The Bloodfang Headcloth was suitable in battles between Thieves, while the Bonescythe Helmet was suitable for fighting Warlocks, or dealing with a Priest’s Fear in group battles.

Bonescythe Gauntlets (Fine Epic): Armor 150, Agility +150, Strength +120, Critical Hit +30, 3 slots. Special Effect 1: Slit Throat +1. Special Effect 2: Disarm. There is a 50% chance of stealing an enemy’s weapon, rendering them incapable of using that weapon to attack for 3 seconds. Cooldown time of 10 minutes. Special Effect 3, Raptor Sprint: Choose a target within 15 yards to attack with Charge. Attacks all targets along that line while also dealing double basic damage to the chosen player. Cumulative time 1.5 seconds, cooldown time 15 minutes. Level Requirement: 60, Durability 380/380.

The third Special Effect was a pleasant surprise; Lu Li was very pleased with this equipment.

As for the second, he had a piece of equipment before with a similar Special Effect. The chance of activation was something that was hard to explain in just a few words.

The last piece was the Bonescythe Waistguard, which was also the piece that Lu Li happened to be the most satisfied with today.

Bonescythe Waistguard (Flawless Epic): Armor 220, Agility +200, Strength +160, Constitution +80, Evasion +35, 3 slots. Special Effect 1: Sprint +1. Special Effect 2: Like a Shadow. Immediately reach the target you are chasing, while dealing 300% more basic damage to them and Stunning them for 1 second. Cooldown time 60 minutes. Special Effect 3: Cage. Summons a cage to surround the area around a target for 5 seconds, cooldown of 12 hours. Level Requirement: 60, Durability 420/420.

A Flawless level T3. March Rain had been crafting quite a few T3 equips recently, but this was the first high-level, Flawless piece.

Lu Li felt before that T3 wasn’t as worthwhile as T2 because of the Bonescythe Helmet, but this had caused him to eat his words.

The Bonescythe Waistguard had very strong basic attributes, and it provided 80 points to Constitution. The average T3 Waistguard simply didn’t have this effect.

The second Special Effect was an uncommonly seen Exquisite Special Effect. It Stunned and dealt damage simultaneously, providing a wide opportunity for maneuvering.

As for the third, Lu Li hadn’t seen or heard of this effect before.

As a Thief, this was still the first time he had acquired this sort of real crowd-control skill. When everyone was resting and preparing to fight the Boss, Lu Li secretly pulled Moonlight right out of the Instance Dungeon and opened up a room in the arena.

When he cast the special effect, a cage materialized out of thin air, falling from the sky and trapping Moonlight underneath. Moonlight jumped in fright, not expecting that Lu Li would use this effect.

After some careful analysis, Moonlight discussed this effect in detail with Lu Li.

This cage persisted for 5 seconds and could be attacked, but it could withstand 5000 damage, which was adequate against a single player. Moonlight was unable to smash the cage until it disappeared.

It was a shame the cooldown time was too long, so it really could only be used in a final fight.
