Chapter 1269 - Heart-palpitating Night
Xuan Ying sat by the bedside, pressing his palm against his chest. Seeing his pain, Xia Ling hesitated for a while before she walked over. “Undo your buttons.”
The corners of Xuan Ying’s lips unconsciously twitched, he undid the button that he had just buttoned up. Then his black silk shirt just slid down, revealing half of his muscular chest.
Holding down her breath, Xia Ling lowered her lashes, looking at his broad shoulders and straight spine. He was seated, spreading his legs casually as he exuded an inexplicable charm.
She looked at him, there was a deep scar on his chest. Even though it was already fully healed, it was still a gruesome sight. She could only imagine how deep the knife had lacerated him.
“Come closer,” said Xuan Ying.
Xia Ling’s delicate skin flushed red, she was some distance away from him. There wasn’t anything obstructing them, but with his legs spread open, how was she supposed to go over?
“Come here.”
Xuan Ying grabbed her wrist, giving it a tug.
They both froze.
Now that she had kissed him, they both went silent.
The atmosphere in the room instantly heated up. Something was supposed to happen on such a night.
Xia Ling’s pupils dilated, she was completely caught off guard, she never intended to kiss him at all! A scene suddenly popped up in her mind.
In a room, on a soft bed. A beautiful woman lay on the pink lace pillows. A man towered above her, the muscles all over his rippling with strength. Slowly, the man bent down, kissing the woman’s lips, feeding his tongue inside her mouth…
Xia Ling could see their faces clearly, the man was Xuan Ying, while the woman was… herself!
W-What was this?! Her heart thumped wildly, lashes fluttering and she tried to snap out of it.
Why would she even appear in that scene? She was with a stranger… doing such intimate things.
Xia Ling’s face turned completely red, she quickly pushed him away, using all limbs to climb away from him. She had no idea what she touched in the midst of it, but the man moaned.
He moaned.
It sounded like he was in pain, yet enjoyed it, it was a sexy sound.
No. She had to get out of here! Xia Ling didn’t even spare a moment to think and fled from the room.
…
She had left.
Xuan Ying lay on the bed, panting heavily. She had left behind her fragrance on his body and all over the bed.
He couldn’t hold it in any longer, his hand moved downwards to unbuckle his belt.
…
A few minutes later.
Xuan Ying threw a few wads of crumpled tissue paper into the bin and got up. He put on his pants and wore his shirt. With his wispy fringe covering his eyes, he seemed completely wasted.
Opening the room door, he stepped outside.
As he was going down the stairs, he spotted the lithe figure in the living room. She was talking to his mother.
“Madam, I don’t think I’m suitable for this job. I won’t be coming to work from tomorrow onwards,” she said.
Concubine Yu was stunned. “What happened?”
“It’s nothing.”
She wasn’t going to come tomorrow?
Hearing her, Xuan Ying quickly rushed down the stairs, even tripping over a bin in the process.
Bang! The bin rolled and made a huge bang, alarming the two people in the living room. Concubine Yu and Xia Ling’s gazes riveted onto him.
“…”
It was a moment of incredible awkwardness for Xuan Ying. But he cleared his throat, pretending nothing happened as he walked over to pour a glass of water.
“Young Master, why did you rush, be careful,” Auntie Su reminded him as she picked up the bin.
“…”
Xuan Ying wanted Auntie Su to shut up!
When Concubine Yu looked at her son, it was not hard to figure everything out. Her son must have taken advantage of Xia Ling when they were in the room together.
“Xiaoling, why do you suddenly want to quit? You can talk to me.”
Biting her lip, Xia Ling sneaked a glance at Xuan Ying’s back view. “Thank you, Madam, but I’ll just leave.” Not wanting to spend any longer in the house, Xia Ling took her black overcoat with her and left.
She had gone already?
She had really left?
Turning around, Xuan Ying could only see her step out of the door. Suddenly, Concubine Yu threw a string of mala beads onto his head as she scolded him.
“You brat! You’re going to be the death of me one day!”
