Hide in the Banished Palace and Level Up To A Big Boss

Chapter 140 - Provocation

In the Bai Family’s Forbidden Ground….

More than thirty elders of the Virtual Realm had gathered together.

“Are there any more news about the True Realm master?”

Everyone was interested to find out more about the True Realm master that had suddenly appeared.

“I guess he felt like he had killed enough and decided to go away.”

“Only by killing so many of the bats will our human race finally have a chance to survive.”

“After the human race resisted so fiercely, the Bat Clan has been significantly weakened. He just swooped in and took all the credit by himself.”

While some people complimented the new True Realm master, others treated him with disdain.

“Don’t say that. We humans can finally catch a breather now that he’s here.”

“Why didn’t he show up earlier? Maybe the human race wouldn’t have suffered so much!”

“He didn’t even appear when the Zhou Family was driven to the edge of the desert. He must have been busy with something else.”

“But the True Realm master is from the Zhou Family!”

“It doesn’t matter. Our ancestor has been injured after fighting the Bat Clan. This True Realm master of the human race is even more important to us now,” said the head of the Bai Family, greatly troubled.

There were always some short-sighted people in the clan who were jealous of him.

Shaped by their current environment, a lot of humans had become selfish and short-sighted.

A lot of them were looking for Li Mu.

Other clans were also looking for him.

In the blink of an eye, eight years had passed.

A sandstorm was blowing in the desert.

A hill of sand was blown away within a few days.

A figure appeared under the hill.

After a long while, the figure was buried by the yellow sand again.

The sand slowly accumulated into a small hill.

A year later, the hill was moved by the strong winds.

After even more time had passed, the figure stood up and shook the sand off his body.

Phew!

“Ten years!”

It had been ten years since he had entered the True Realm.

It had been ten years since he had checked in at the ancient battlefield.

His cultivation was now at the fifth level of the True Realm.

He had consumed all the rewards given by the system in this half a year.

Fortunately, Li Mu had not travelled around the desert. Otherwise, his rewards would have been used up.

“It’s all thanks to the bats that I have so many good things.”

He took a look at the system space. Other than some pills, weapons, and techniques obtained by checking in ar the ancient battlefield, there was not much left.

“Since all my things are almost gone, it’s time to go find the bats and get more items.”

After flying out of the desert, Li Mu headed straight to the mainland.

Previously, when he was chasing after the bats, he didn’t have the time to explore this part of the world. Now he could take a good look.

Flying out of the desert this time was easier than before.

In a small restaurant in the city…

Li Mu ordered a table full of dishes and three different pots of wine.

He slowly chewed the food.

“Sure enough, the food here is much better than the East Continent’s.”

He took a sip of wine.

The prenatal qi from the wine filled his body.

Even though this bit of prenatal qi was insignificant to Li Mu, it still felt so good!

He hadn’t felt so good in such a long time.

Ooh la la!

Just then, a group of green eyed and red fanged people entered the restaurant.

Looking closely, these people had long claws that were as sharp as knives.

After entering the restaurant, the group scanned their surroundings.

“Why is there a human here?” Two long fangs protruded out of the leader’s mouth.

He set his eyes on Li Mu.

“The Wolf Clan. It’s the Wolf Clan!” Several people in the restaurant with shaggy ears and pointy mouths exclaimed as they left quickly.

In an instant, the restaurant became rather empty.

Several people merely glanced at the visitors and continued to eat and drink.

Seeing that Li Mu remained motionless, as if he hadn’t seen them, the leader of the werewolves became angry.

“What about you, human!”

The red-haired werewolf walked towards Li Mu and pointed at him.

Whoosh!

The remaining diners in the restaurant looked up at Li Mu with disdain.

They were secretly gloating.

They peered at him then continued eating the food in front of them.

“Where did this dog come from? Why is it barking here?” Li Mu said to himself.

He picked up his wine glass and slowly took a sip.

“Huh?”

Whoosh!

The diners in the restaurant turned their heads to stare at Li Mu again.

This time, all the diners stared at Li Mu for a long time.

Many diners put down their chopsticks and observed him quietly.

They looked ready to watch the show.

“Did you just call me a dog?”

Bang!

The red-haired werewolf slammed his fist onto Li Mu’s table.

The dishes on the table bounced and the wine spilled all over the table.

“You’re just a little human. How dare you be so rampant!”

Li Mu looked up and said angrily, “Have you never seen a rampant human before? Well, at least you get to see one today!”

He couldn’t even drink in peace.

Who on earth were the Wolf Clan?

“Go to hell…”

Boom!

Before the red-haired werewolf could finish his sentence, he flew into the air and hit the ground, leaving a huge crater.

“Huh?”

Whoosh!

Everyone in the restaurant stared at Li Mu with their mouths wide open.

Including the group of werewolves.

Everyone’s face was full of surprise.

How unbelievable!

Someone from the human race actually killed a werewolf.

More importantly, Li Mu had moved so quickly that no one in the restaurant had even seen him move.

Several of the werewolves narrowed their eyes and stared at their leader.

“Prey, which family are you from? I will send your entire family to hell to pay for your recklessness!” The werewolf leader said menacingly, enunciating each word slowly.

Li Mu shook his head.

He already thought it was bad that the people of Zhongzhou had captured the people of the South Continent as slaves.

He never expected that the human race would become the prey of other clans.

How could humans be treated as prey!

What kind of messed up place was this?

He had never encountered something so shocking before.

“Do you actually think I’ll tell you? When did a dog become so stupid?” Li Mu also uttered slowly through his gritted teeth.

After speaking, he casually took a sip of wine.

Boom!

Everyone’s eyes lit up.

Several of the diners crossed their arms and glanced Li Mu with great interest.

“This human is quite interesting!” An old man with a white beard and a king embroidered on his head said.

Others echoed similar sentiments.

“The werewolves are so incompetent that they let their prey insult them.”

“Sigh! They’re just like dogs!”

All kinds of unbearable insults entered the ears of the leader of the werewolves.

The other werewolves stared at Li Mu fiercely.

“You can’t tell what cultivation level I am at. Is that why you don’t dare to attack me?” Li Mu laughed.

He didn’t expect that they would be so easily provoked.

Seeing that the werewolves did not speak, Li Mu continued, “To tell you the truth, my cultivation level is higher than yours. Kneel down and admit that you’re wrong and I’ll kill you swiftly.”

“You…”

“You better not threaten me! If you threaten my family, I will kill your entire clan,” Li Mu said nonchalantly.

Boom!

The surrounding crowd frowned.

This human was too wild!

They started to chatter among themselves.

“What are you afraid of? It’s just a human.”

“You werewolves have more than a dozen True Realm masters. There are only five in the human race. And you’re scared to death?”

“A dog will always be a dog, no matter how hard it pretends to be a wolf,” he provoked them.

The people in the Wolf Clan glared at him fiercely.

“Go and die!”

The leader of the werewolves attacked him.

Everyone in the restaurant had smiles on their faces.
