Growing Fond of You, Mr Nian

Chapter 1154 - Professor Jiang Put that on You Himself

The students felt like crying.

They were in a class: So many students were in the classroom. How quiet did he want people to be?

The female students wanted to cry even more. Didn’t people say that Professor Jiang loves science only? Who was that woman? They were all so jealous of her.

How could the silly Professor Jiang be so warm and caring?

The students didn’t want to displease Professor Jiang, so they even breathed carefully during the rest of the class.

At the end of the class, Professor Jiang said, “Yang Wenzhi, please stay after class. I need to talk to you.”

The other students turned to Yang Wenzhi with jealousy. He was the first one asked to stay after class by Professor Jiang.

As the classroom suddenly became noisy, Nian Xi woke up to find that students were leaving. The class had ended, and she hadn’t even known.

She stretched herself slightly. A grey coat slid off her shoulders.

It looked familiar. It belonged to Jiang Yuning. She raised her head to look at him. He was still on the platform, wearing only a black turtleneck sweater. It was the first time she saw a man look so good in a turtleneck sweater.

How did his coat end up on her while he was teaching the class?

Her heart missed a beat. “This coat…” she turned to Fang Qi and said.

“Professor Jiang put it on you himself, not long after you fell asleep,” said Fang Qi jealously. “He worried that you might catch a cold. He also told his students to be quiet, and not to wake you up.”

Nian Xi didn’t know what to say.

She pictured that scene, felt a little embarrassed, and a little touched.

He made her a pain in the ass to his students, didn’t he? No wonder some students looked at her with unfriendly eyes before leaving.

Fang Qi sighed, rested his head on his palms and said sarcastically, “Maybe I’ll become trans and marry Professor Jiang. He’s so warm.”

Nian Xi pretended to vomit. But honestly, she didn’t know that Jiang Yuning could be so caring and warm either.

At that time, Jiang Yuning brought a boy with glasses to Nian Xi and said to her, “This is Yang Wenzhi. You were looking for him.”

Nian Xi immediately showed the boy her police badge, said, “We are police officers. We’d like to ask you some questions about Duan Yang. I heard that you two are good friends.”

“Yeah,” Yan Wenzhi nodded and said, “Did something happen to him? I couldn’t reach him during the New Year.”

“He’s dead,” said Nian Xi, “A couple of days ago, his body was found near a river near the countryside. We’d like to ask you a few questions.

Yang Wenzhi was stunned. Soon, tears gushed out of his eyes.

“Who killed him?”

“We don’t know yet. That’s why we want to talk to you. Did he have any enemies that you know of?” Nian Xi took out her pen and notebook.

She spent about twenty minutes talking to Yang Wenzhi. After that, she found Jiang Yuning next to her, his head resting on one palm, his eyes fixed right on her without blinking. It seemed as if he was afraid she might suddenly vanish into thin air.

“You’re still here?” Nian Xi was a little surprised.

Jiang Yuning shook his head, then wrote, “It’s lunchtime. I’ll buy you guys lunch. The food in the canteen is delicious.”

Fang Qi was speechless.

So, that was why he didn’t leave? He had finally seen the girl he liked. How could he take her to the canteen?

However, seeing the pitiful look on Mr. Jiang’s face, Fang Qi nodded and responded with, “Alright, I like the food in the canteen too. Thank you.”

“What’s so good about it?” Nian Xi said.

Fang Qi threw a disdainful glance at her. Couldn’t she tell that he was trying to create an opportunity for Mr. Jiang and her? No wonder she was nearly the oldest single girl in the police station. Her EQ was so low.
