Eventually, the last Flamewalker Physician was killed. Lu Li could finally feel the weight lift off his shoulders. There were currently still 31 players standing, and while the three tanks still remained, there were slightly fewer healers than before.

“Should I resurrect them?” March Rain asked. She had just died to save a few others and was on the ground. Lu Li’s Resurrect had already been used so he couldn’t use it. March Rain still had other ways to resurrect the fallen players, but she didn’t know if it was worth it. She was actually carrying Lu Li’s Darkmoon Card, and there weren’t that many uses left so they had to be very deliberate about it.

It had been a while since the players had participated in the event that gave them all a Darkmoon Card, so there was almost no one left who had one. Lu Li had not been willing to use it even when he died during important moments; it had been saved for even more crucial moments such as this.

Darkmoon Card: Void (Special): Instant Use. Has a 50% chance to Revive. Upon a successful Revive, HP and Mana regen increased by 20%, EXP may increase by -5 to 10%. Number of uses remaining: 5/5. Effective when item is placed in backpack. Equipment requirement: Level 10.

“Damn, I lost a bit of EXP,” March Rain cried. When using the Darkmoon Card, there was a chance for the user to lose EXP. She was already level 60, so her EXP gain had since slowed down. This meant that losing EXP felt particularly worse for her.

“How much did you lose?” Lu Li glanced over and saw that March Rain had dropped back to level 59.

“1%,” March Rain groaned. The Darkmoon Card tended to give EXP, but she was unlucky enough to lose EXP when she used it.

“That’s okay, you’ll level up. Just pay attention to your mana. Memories, remember to use your totem once Bloodlust is over,” Lu Li calmly instructed. He glanced at the Boss’ HP, hoping that he wouldn’t go Berserk.

Generally, a Boss would go Berserk when it was at a certain amount of HP. According to some experts, it was because Bosses would strike out in desperation when they saw that they were dying. However, Majordomo Executus had Invulnerability. He hadn’t lost a single point of HP, so he shouldn’t go Berserk. It was nice to think he wouldn’t go Berserk, but reality was different. Lu Li had daydreamed for too long as Majordomo Executus went Berserk after the seventh monster died.

“Burn, mortals. It is time to pay for your sins!” Majordomo Executus roared. Perhaps he started to feel desperate when the minions died.

“Everyone who is hit by the Transmission needs to fall back,” Lu Li commanded. The Berserk state not only increased the Boss’ attacking power, but also the frequency of his skills. For example, the Transmission skill was normally used once every 12 seconds, but now it was being continuously casted.

“Hey! I can’t keep the aggro! Get all the Warriors to Taunt. Wandering, you pull the monster,” Azure Sea Breeze shouted as a follow up to Lu Li’s instructions.

He was the second-in-command and was part of the core group. The instructions that he gave were final as long as Lu Li had no objections. When they heard his instructions, even Berserkers like Moonlight went up to Taunt the Boss.

The Boss had given himself an anti-magic shield which meant that the probability of a successful Taunt had decreased. However, the Warriors still had to try to Taunt him. Otherwise, he would randomly attack nearby players and definitely kill them.

In just a few dozen seconds, several players had died.

“Everyone focus on the killing the minions. Use everything you have!” Lu Li cried out as he downed a potion to increase his attack speed. Everyone still had some tricks up their sleeves, and Water Fairy really pulled out all the stops for this battle.

Water Fairy’s body was covered in a layer of red light. Her eyes turned golden and a pair of white wings unfolded behind her. She was a dark Thief, but she had turned into a holy angel. This effect skyrocketed her damage output and she gained a far greater attack speed than Lu Li.

If this special effect was used against Lu Li in PVP, it wasn’t clear if Lu Li would lose, but he would definitely be scared to fight it. The smartest choice would be to avoid her and to only attack when the effect ended. However, the last elite monster wasn’t very smart and was the fastest of the eight monsters to die.

“You think you have won? No, maybe you need another painful lesson,” Majordomo Executus’ threatened. His short but painful Berserk had finally ended. The Berserk’s strength was indeed great, but it didn’t last for long, so it wasn’t enough to wipe the players.

“No, this is impossible! Wait… I surrender, I surrender!” Majordomo Executus begged. He had suddenly regressed into a weakened state and was begging for mercy when the last monster died. It didn’t matter whether he surrendered or not, because there was nothing they could do; he still remained in a state of invulnerability.

After surrendering, Executus continued, “You must desperately want to uncover the secrets of the Son of Flames. You will pay dearly for this act. I will summon the True Master, and you will face his anger directly. Your little lives are coming to an end.” The Majordomo of the Molten Core turned and slowly left, saying, “I will summon the Master, and he will wait for you in the deepest part of the Flame.”

“Hey, don’t go! Where is our loot?” Remnant Dream whined as she jumped up and chased the Boss. They weren’t sure if it was an illusion, but Executus waved his arm and caused a chest to drop from the sky. He then stepped into the magma and slowly vanished.

“Wow, that exit was really strange,” Azure Sea Breeze said as he watched the Boss. “I remembered that when I first hit him, I dealt some damage. You said that we will be better equipped in the future. Will we be able to kill him in one attack?”

“Why would you want to kill him? Isn’t your loot here?” Lu Li asked as he patted the chest.

Everyone stiffened up.

“What’s wrong?”

“Lu bro,” Hachi Chan chimed sweetly, “Make sure you don’t open it. This is the result of two days of work. If you open the chest, then we’ll have wasted all our time. So, please let go.”

“Yes, yes, please let go of that poor chest,” everyone nodded in agreement.

Lu Li was shocked and offended. Surely, they didn’t need to go that far – he wasn’t that unlucky.
