Chapter 1324 - I Love You (7)
Gu Mohan had just bandaged his wounds and taken off his black shirt. He was about to get into the shower when he heard his room door slam open.
When he looked back, he saw a lithe figure walk in. It was Tang Mo’er.
“Tang Mo’er, don’t you knock before entering someone else’s room?” Gu Mohan asked with a frown.
Seemingly unabashed, Tang Mo’er looked at him. His top half was bare while his bottom half was clad in black trousers with a black leather belt around his slim waist. His sexy tan abs and clear cut lines of his abdomen were enough to make any person salivate.
She froze and then quickly raised her small hands to cover her face. Flustered, she said, “You’re mistaken, Mr Gu. I came here to check on your wounds, not to look at your assets!”
Assets?
Gu Mohan was speechless.
Gu Mohan fixed his chilly eyes on her and said, “Are you happy now? Still going to wear these dresses to go flirt with other men in the future?”
Gu Mohan scoffed and pushed her away before leaving.
…
Tang Mo’er chased him all the way back to his room but he said coldly, “Get out!”
“I can leave, but you have to answer my question first.”
Gu Mohan glared coldly at her and snapped, “What exactly am I supposed to explain? That Yu Rubing is not actually my fiancée and is actually my cousin? That I haven’t had a single woman by my side these past three years? Or is it that I clearly said I would marry someone else if you left me three years ago yet never did so? Or that I haven’t forgotten you at all these past three years and can’t go a single minute without thinking of you, that my love for you hasn’t been reduced a single bit and that I still love you deeply?”
Tang Mo’er’s eyes reddened. He had said it. He had finally admitted it.
He had been thinking of her these three years…
He had loved her all this time.
Gu Mohan’s eyes were bloodshot. “You’ve already heard what you wanted to hear. Are you satisfied now? Are you proud now? Tang Mo’er, I’m the one who always loses in this relationship. You can leave now and close the door behind you. I want to rest.”
Gu Mohan turned around, ready to take his forgotten shower and his raging emotions.
But he had only taken two steps before Tang Mo’er pounced on him and wrapped her arms around his slim waist.
“Let go of me!”
He tugged at her hands, wanting to push her away.
“Mr Gu,” Tang Mo’er said as she closed her eyes and tears rolled down her face like pearls from a broken necklace. “I’ve missed you these three years as well. I love you, as deeply as you love me.”
Gu Mohan felt wetness on his back. She was crying. Her hot tears burned his skin, all the way to his heart.
“I’m so sorry, Mr Gu. I left you three years ago in order to save Yeming. I can only apologize… it’s fine if you don’t forgive me. I will use the rest of my life to love you properly and protect you. There will be no one else, just you and me.
“And it’s not that I didn’t want to return three years ago. Three years ago, my body was poisoned with AR which made me age quickly. The car crash that year broke my knees and I had fallen into the ocean along with the car. I was lucky to not have died and was washed to Paradise Island by the waters.
“In these three years, I had grown into an ugly hag with wrinkles all over my body. I didn’t even dare look into the mirror at all, I was so ugly! Every day I gazed at the sun rising from the east, I wondered if I would have a tomorrow. How could I bear to face you like that? How could I bear to give you hope if…”
Gu Mohan’s pupils shrank. He had no idea. He had no idea at all…
He wanted to turn around.
But Tang Mo’er was hugging him too tightly, burying her small face in his back, not letting him turn around. She wanted to have a proper conversation with him.
“Mr Gu, I’m so sorry. I was too afraid to tell you all this, too afraid to let you see me, too afraid to let you come to me. I know I was selfish and unfair to you, but deep down, I know that you could never hate me. Maybe we can spend more time together from now on but…
“When I left three years ago, I wanted to be the most beautiful Tang Mo’er in your eyes, the most beautiful red rose in your heart and the most beautiful woman you had ever been with. I want to give you all the most beautiful things I own.”
