Chapter 953 - Escaping
Of course, this youngster may be a unique talent.
The two Interpol officers watched as this unique talent picked up the laptop and couldn’t help shaking their heads. They were sure it wasn’t possible to locate the suspect using the internet.
If it had been that easy, they wouldn’t have to come all the way down to China as their country’s hacking skills were the best in Asia and this youngster was from China. CHis computer science abilities were definitely inferior to theirs.
In their native tongue, he was simply displaying his slight skill before an expert.
But the two Interpol officers from Tokyo remained silent because firstly, they had to maintain respectability expected from their country and secondly, they were here to learn from the experiences of this side how they had stopped the ‘Maiden’s Sacrifice’ from escalating.
As per their knowledge, there was an amazing criminal psychologist and profiler here, who had led to the change in events.
This meant that the Japanese were mainly here to seek out Qin Mo as they weren’t aware that Qin Mo had been assisted by someone else.
Using the crime squad’s IP address made Bo Jiu’s search much easier. Due to the surveillance from certain departments, using an IP address from a government body made it possible to track certain things. She just had to use a bit of her hacking skills to continue down her previous path.
However, it wouldn’t be possible to physically distinguish the faces one by one since it would take up way too much time. With the accurate skills of a hacker, the portrait of the suspect’s face could be converted into codes to track down the suspect.
But just as Qin Mo had mentioned, the analysis from a criminal psychologist was required as well, meaning he would have to figure out based on his mannerisms and his actions, what the next likely place was for the suspect to appear after he had been tracked down in one location.
Bo Jiu typed rapidly. As expected, with the crime squad’s IP, it was much easier to infiltrate the systems by the road. These systems didn’t just include convenience stores, they also included ATM machines and the surveillance in parking spaces.
The hacker world’s Young Master’s return also meant the return of the followers.
Many should be aware that a large scale network infiltration wasn’t accomplished by just one hacker. It was just like a game, there had to be help. Of course, the only thing which couldn’t be left out was the leader, a leader who had the eye of an eagle, allowing not one piece of information to seep through, and with the ability to break through any form of network defense out there while escaping nimbly and smoothly.
Once the target had been located, she would go straight down for the kill. That had always been Bo Jiu’s style, sharp yet well thought out.
It wasn’t possible to see the network links through the naked eye and it also wasn’t possible to spot the symbols which appeared when Bo Jiu started.
The person behind the links were different, but had the same goal: to help their Young Master.
With Z’s command, the others disguised into various forms to infiltrate the surrounding defenses to gain information.
They proceeded to send the information to Bo Jiu, who was leading the pack.
The speed of her fingers wasn’t the most accurate gauge of a hacker’s skills. Instead, it was their ability to manipulate codes into speeding up their process and lock down their target.
Even if the people behind, who were collecting information, were stopped by the many firewall obstacles, Bo Jiu didn’t stop. She went all the way until the rows of codes which covered the screens turned into screenshots of videos, all of them with the tall and slender man.
The two Interpol officers were clearly shocked. It wasn’t as though they were clueless about the internet, but they had never expected to see such a master hidden in China.
The level of skill was probably not attainable even in their country. No, correct that, they had never seen anyone accomplish that in such a short amount of time even on an internal level.
Qin Mo stood beside Bo Jiu. He reached out towards her side, his perfect features elegant. But when he lowered his lids, a sharp glint shone from his eyes. Especially when his gaze hit the screens, it was so sharp it seemed to pierce through one’s heart.
Very quickly, Bo Jiu realized that the Almighty had become a scholar not purely because of his intelligence, but also due to his reading speed. Bo Jiu moved through the images rapidly. The entire time, Qin Mo’s gaze hadn’t stopped moving, reading as fast as Bo Jiu’s hands moved.
In that instant, the two Interpol officers felt as though the two handsome, young men before them were the true law enforcers while they… were completely useless and constantly amazed by their actions.
Why was that so?
The two Interpol officers couldn’t find an answer since there weren’t any records of the both of them.
But why weren’t such talents discovered?
One of the Interpol officers couldn’t hold it in anymore, he wanted to know more about the both of them, hence, he turned towards Director Huang. “What are their jobs?”
One of them was a high school student and the other a CEO. That reply seemed a little lacking. Thus Director Huang hesitated before replying with a common point, “Professional esports players.”
“Esports players?” The two Interpol officer had never expected such a reply. Esports? Gaming?
Director Huang scratched his nose, he didn’t seem to find it believable either. “They still have another match in a few days. If you’re interested, you can go and have a look.”
The two Interpol officers exchanged glances. “Let’s catch the suspect first.” After all, the most important thing at the moment was to stop the Maiden’s Sacrifice.
But they couldn’t help but admit, when Qin Mo and Bo Jiu worked together, it was a delightful sight indeed. They were both ravishing and with their suave actions, they radiated a formidable air from within, something that someone could only be born with. One was devilish while the other so out of the world. They gave off such contrasting vibes, but yet they matched so well.
“Stop.” With Qin Mo’s commands, the youngster lifted her right hand, their coordination exemplary.
Qin Mo studied the photos for a moment before shutting his eyes. A full picture formed in his head and several distant images were materializing.
When a mismatched part came about, it would immediately swapp itself out. If it had been on the left side of the road, there wouldn’t have been a reason for the figure to be in a rush. He seemed to be in a greater rush while hailing a cab.
Why was he in such a rush? If he wasn’t on the left side, he would be on the right. What was there on the right side?
Qin Mo tilted his head, searching the image. The hospital, the mall, or the railway service which went straight to the airport?
As the last place came to his mind, Qin Mo’s eyes widened instantly. He didn’t speak quickly, but had a rather deep tone. “He went to the airport.”
“Airport?!” It wasn’t just the Interpol officers, even Director Huang wasn’t convinced because if the person really appeared at the airport, it wasn’t possible for him to go unnoticed since his picture had been sent out and the entire country was on a lookout.
Qin Mo knew what they were thinking. He turned towards Director Huang. “There’s a mole in the department and the suspect knows how to disguise himself well. We will need the cooperation from the airport, especially on an international level. Search for all the outcoming flights and stop him at the entrance of immigration. All operations are to be kept a secret, their people should have infiltrated the airport side as well.”
The Interpol officers were obviously concerned about the moles as their face sinking at the very mention of them. “Director Huang, you never mentioned about the moles in the department.”
It wasn’t something outsiders should know about. Director Huang had always been smart about his words, which was how he had reached his current position. He would never expose the details of his own department and definitely not to outsiders from another country. But now wasn’t the time for Director Huang to say more.
Qin Mo continued, “The start of the Maiden’s Sacrifice suggests the existence of a mole internally. They will be present in the department in Tokyo as well. Or perhaps you never thought about the reasons behind all those failed missions?”
It was a simple question, but enough to leave them stunned and in a daze. They had thought about it, but everytime…
“It’s time to take action.” Director Huang didn’t give the two Interpol officers any more time to think because time was precious to everyone of them, including the tall and slender man, who had already arrived at the airport.
He was in disguise with adjustments to both his face and clothes. There was a black bluetooth earphone in his right ear. The bluetooth earphone was for the person behind him to give him directions.
“There isn’t any police to your left. There is a bookstore to your right, head over to read a book and avoid the overhead surveillance camera.” The girl’s voice seemed anxious. “There is an hour before the plane departs, walk over to the security checks after five minutes, I’ll infiltrate the scanning device so they won’t be able to verify your features and appearance. But even if they could, there wouldn’t be a problem. We have people over there and as long as there isn’t a big commotion, you will be able to board the plane successfully. After you board the plane, they won’t be able to stop you as per the international aviation law. Even if they start looking into you after that, you will no longer be under China’s jurisdiction and we won’t have to be afraid of America. There will be a specialized lawyer to help us solve the problems. All the danger is before you board the plane. So you have to avoid all police officers before boarding the plane.”
“Cool.” It wasn’t just the girl, the tall and slender man was starting to feel nervous as well as he had never expected the Chinese police to find him.
There were news of him everywhere he went and the entire country had his details to stop him from escaping.
How exactly had they found him? There wasn’t any surveillance in the stairway of the dead person’s apartment. It wasn’t possible for him to have been caught there.
“Do you think the senior management betrayed us?” The tall and slender man asked in an eerie tone.
The girl paused slightly before replying, “No one would give up a massive benefit and that applies to them as well. That person is the only one who wouldn’t betray us. It’s just like the senior management from Tokyo. The higher they are, the more the things they have to consider. The reason you were found was probably because someone has used their hacking ability to look into the surveillance videos of all the places that dead girl had gone to. You would definitely be found in those videos. Besides, with Qin Mo around, finding you isn’t that much of a surprise. What’s surprising is the person who had found those places. There has to be someone we haven’t paid attention to. Our plans were thwarted several times and there was once I nearly got caught. Till this moment, I still can’t be sure whether that person has started to trace me. There is only one university beside the internet café and I have no idea what sort of information the boss of the internet café gave them. However, I can be sure that it was all done by the same person. We have to think who else other than Qin Mo is seeking me out. Once you arrive in America, take a transfer flight to the Golden Triangle and get someone to look into this matter. Find out who has hacking skills comparable to mine.”
“Sure.” The tall and slender man continued, “It will all be done after I leave.”
The girl was still listening to the tall and slender man speaking when she saw a huge group of police officers walking towards his direction.
The anxiety in her voice started increasing. “There is someone directly in front of you, turn to the left. Do you see the security entrance? Don’t turn back and don’t make any suspicious movements. Find a way to make small talk with someone around you, let the police think that you are travelling with a partner. There should be a tour group within that queue you are in. The clothes you are wearing are part of their tour, try to blend in and follow them in. The officer at the security check is one of us, so he wouldn’t expose you. Just move quickly.”
After listening to her instructions, the tall and slender man changed direction, heading towards the most striking area with large strides.
People going on vacation were usually in a good mood and were less guarded, especially when they saw someone wearing the same clothes as them.
The tall and slender man was a good conversationalist. He chose a couple and started chatting with them with a friendly smile. “I picked up some common phrases before this. Uncle and Aunty, if you are confused and would like to get anything, I’ll be happy to help with the translation.”
He specifically went for an elderly couple. It wasn’t a random choice because based on their age, the tall and slender man would easily be misunderstood as their son. Besides, they older people wouldn’t be as resistive, just a few short opening questions were enough for them to warm up, especially when the question of why they came for the tour came up.
The old man laughed. “Actually, other than the tour, we will be checking if our grandson is getting used to studying abroad.”
From afar, the security officer wasn’t sure what they were talking about and when the tall and slender man helped the old couple to the security check, the police officers who had rushed over merely swept them a glance since they were sure the suspect would be alone.
Hence, no one saw the sly smile on the tall and slender man after he exchanged glances with the security officer. He reached for his passport and turned to leave.
It didn’t matter even if they knew where he was, he could still escape.
Heh, these Chinese weren’t that good at defense after all.
Next, he would have to board the plane, but that would be easy after the security check was done.
