Chapter 1418 - Unique Equipment
Chapter 1418: Unique Equipment

There was also an Essence of the Firelord, which was part of Thunderfury’s quest materials. Lu Li directly assigned this to Azure Sea Breeze. The other rare materials were quite exquisite, and Lu Li kept them all for himself. Even if he didn’t know how to use the rare materials, he wouldn’t sell them. The Ruling Sword Auction House sold everything, but they didn’t sell rare materials because Lu Li knew that any rare material’s value was constantly on the rise.
If there was someone who had a bunch of gold coins on hand and didn’t know what to do with them, what should they do? Wood Fearing had once given an answer to this in an interview. The answer was either to buy some equipment to make yourself stronger, as strength directly corresponded with gains, or just buy some rare materials to store in the warehouse.
There were some materials that seemed useless in the present, but equipment in the future might need them, which would cause both the demand and price to spike. There were four Gold equipment drops with decent attributes. Lu Li didn’t use these drops to subsidize the Main Tanks or the Healers as the monsters that they had killed on the way had dropped plenty of excess equipment for them to sell.
These Gold drops shouldn’t be underestimated. When the System update come out next week, there would be plenty of players who would want Gold equipment.
For the time being, level 60 Gold equipment wasn’t as good as level 55 Dark Gold equipment, and even level 50 equipment were comparable. However, with the level changes, most level 60 Gold equipment would become better than level 55 Dark Gold equipment.
Lu Li had already relayed this business opportunity to Shen Wansan, who had started collecting level 60 Gold equipment. After the low-level changes were released, he would provide a batch of level 60 equipment with good attributes to Lu Li for free as compensation for the information. Then, there were three pieces of Dark Gold equipment. Lu Li obviously couldn’t take these items for himself, as Dark Gold equipment was still very popular.
There was a T2 Pants Mold for Thieves!
Since this was the second item, Lu Li decided that he didn’t need it and left the three remaining Thieves to compete for it. The item somewhat surprisingly sold for over 200 points. The three Thieves had tried to bankrupt each other.
However, this was definitely not a bad transaction as even T1 equipment could sell for more than 100 points. This meant that T2 equipment being sold for over 200 points was understandable. If these Thieves had enough points, it probably could have sold for another 100 points higher. At present, the most competitive professions in order were Mages, Warriors, Thieves, Paladins, Priests and Warlocks.
Thieves were the third most competitive!
Perdition’s Blade!
This was another Thief item. Today seemed to be a lucky day for Thieves.
Having the demon blade in one hand and the destruction blade in the other – this was the dream that countless Thieves chased at level 60. The former blade was the Felstriker and the latter was the Perdition’s Blade. It had incredibly high damage and useful special effects. The full list of its special effects didn’t need explaining as they weren’t that unique, but what made this weapon famous was its second special effect. It had a certain probability of causing 233 points of fire damage to its target. That’s right, this was a chance-based effect.
However, Lu Li knew better than anyone that this probability was really high. Even though Lu Li was perpetually unlucky, he would probably still trigger the effect once every five attacks. A normal player would trigger the effect once every three attacks. It has been said that some players had successfully triggered the effect over ten consecutive times when wielding the Perdition’s Blade.
“Perdition’s Blade. You can all see the attributes. Those who want it can bid for it,” Lu Li announced.
Not that it would have made a difference, but Lu Li private messaged Water Fairy, “Take this dagger. It would be very suitable as your main weapon.” He didn’t explain the preciousness of this weapon to everyone, otherwise, all the Thieves here would be way too aggressive in the bidding.
“50,” Water Fairy bid, trusting Lu Li.
“60,” Scarlet New Moon said.
“80”, Water Fairy responded.
“100”, Scarlet New Moon raised the price.
“150,” Water Fairy continued bidding.
“Pass!” the probability of an Epic dagger being dropped wasn’t impossibly low, but everyone knew that Lu Li probably wouldn’t be changing his daggers for a long time. In the future, the price of daggers would gradually decrease. Even if there was a good dagger, it would be bought by Lu Li, but they could still fight over the dagger that Lu Li would leave behind.
“180,” Cain’s Left Hand increased the bid once more.
“200.”
Water Fairy looked calm. She didn’t even increase the bid by 10 points at a time. Each time she did it, it was at least 20 points or higher.
“Haha, it looks like Water Fairy wants it. In that case, I shouldn’t continue fighting for it. I don’t want to get in the Boss’s bad books,” Cain’s Left Hand laughed and announced that he was going to give it up. He didn’t want this dagger anymore. He wasn’t that keen for it even though he had bid 180 points.
Obviously, they couldn’t fight too vigorously since they were on the same team, but they still had to be good opponents to ensure that no one got their items too easily.
“Thank you,” Water Fairy grinned and wasn’t angry at Cain’s Left Hand’s words.
She knew that the other party had made some concessions. Otherwise, Cain’s Left Hand could have increased the price. Water Fairy could have been left with much less than 210 points. It was still a good number of points, but there was no way for her to get more equipment this auction.
Lu Li breathed a sigh of relief before assigning the equipment to Water Fairy. If anyone knew about what Lu Li had done, they definitely would have accused him of favouritism. They might not even trust him again in the future. However, Lu Li was sneaky as a Thief should be, and no one knew about his interaction with Water Fairy.
“I will donate this dagger to you guys,” Water Fairy said, handing the dagger she had replaced to Lu Li.
Lu Li communicated with her privately, which was touching for her, and she wanted to give something back to Lu Li and his friends. Water Fairy’s dagger was quite exquisite as well – it was a level 60 Epic Dagger with high attack damage and attack speed. It also had three useful effects which were no worse than Perdition’s Blade, assuming the fire damage effect didn’t trigger.
This dagger was given to Cain’s Left Hand, and Lu Li deducted 180 points from him.
“Wow, why did you take so many points from me?” Cain’s Left Hand protested. He really liked this dagger, but he got a bit worried when Lu Li took so many points.
“Didn’t you bid 180 points before? How about you Scarlet New Moon? You can have this dagger for 180 points,” Lu Li said somewhat maliciously. Cain’s Left Hand didn’t know if Lu Li was just doing this as revenge for raising the price in the previous bid.
“Oh yeah, I’ll pay 180 points,” Scarlet New Moon nodded happily.
“Get out of here, you’ve already given up on the item. Your dagger is also already much better than mind,” Cain Left Hand snapped, immediately surrendering to Lu Li. He had already made a profit by acquiring this dagger for 180 points.
“Alright, stop making a fuss. Dreamy, try one last time and see if there are—”
“Wow, it’s the Talisman of Binding Shard! It’s a piece of Legendary jewellery. I’m rich! I’m rich!” Remnant Dream jumped up and down excitedly. Although this item wasn’t for her, she was definitely going to get a big compensation for it. Lu Li had a lapse of concentration when he heard ‘The Talisman of Binding Shard’. He didn’t realise that such a thing actually existed. Lu Li looked at the little thin chained item in his hands and didn’t imagined that he would see it here while playing Dawn.
This was the only one!
It would only appear once before it was deleted by the Officials or the AI system. This was a game that was being watched all over the world, so Dawn couldn’t remove items that had already been dropped. As such, the only necklace that had been dropped would remain. This was a Magic Necklace which mainly provided Magic Resistance, but it also had several very strong Special Effects.
The first skill was a blink skill with a three-minute cooldown. The second skill was an instant Dispel that could be used once a day and the third skill was a chance to revive with full mana once a day.
Calling this item Legendary was no exaggeration.
If Lu Li had not been reborn, this piece of equipment would have been acquired by Glory Capital and equipped by White Westhill.
“March Rain, this is yours to hold onto for now. I will take all your points, but I’m sure that’s not a problem.”
Lu Li couldn’t put this item up for bidding. He directly assigned it to March Rain but was ruthless with her points. The few hundred points she had left were completely deducted.
March Rain was a healer, but she was also the main healer. She had never been benched, so she received points from every Boss and was even further subsidised with points after each fight.
Her original guild points had already reached quite a high number, and few clubs had players that could match her. Although she had received a few pieces of equipment from the Molten Core, she still had four to five hundred points remaining.
If nothing out of the ordinary happened, this amount of point deduction would stand as the highest on record for a long time.
“March Sis,” Remnant Dream said as she looked at March Rain pitifully.
March Rain immediately offered a large red packet and even asked her brother for some help.
They didn’t know the exact amount given, but from the look Remnant Dream gave, it wasn’t a small amount. Lu Li didn’t think she was being greedy as this was the only Talisman of Binding Shard in the game. They were only able to acquire this item because of her lucky hands. If Lu Li was looting the body, he wouldn’t have gotten it even after 100 tries.
At this point, the Molten Core Instance Dungeon had been completed. Wandering had organised more teams from the guild to farm this Instance Dungeon, but Lu Li didn’t need to endure it any longer.
He directly transported himself from Darnassus to Rut’theran Village before flying to Auberdine.
Auberdine was the only harbour along the desolate land of the Black Sea Coast. The port quite conveniently led to Danassus (Main Elf City), Menethil (The Wetlands) and Exodar (Main Draenei City). The sweltering weather and creatures lurking in it made the secluded wetlands a difficult place to be, but the port itself was a thriving and safe commercial location.
The presence of Auberdine made it easy for Ruling Sword’s Grey Valley to Black Sea Coast traffic. Lu Li’s Stronghold on the Black Sea Coast was located in the Twilight Valley not far away. If you walked, it would take ten minutes. However, most players had Mounts, which made travelling much easier.
Lu Li planned to open a waterway between Auberdine and the Stronghold. After the players arrived at Auberdine, they could take a boat from the Ruling Sword Black Sea Coast Stronghold in Auberdine’s Longbridge Pier. Unfortunately, they had to source the boats from the evil System set on taking their money.
However, taking a cruise ship long the Twilight Beach was actually quite a nice experience. Lu Li planned to develop this place into a tourist city. In this city, the club’s top management would be divided into their own residences. They would then open up hotels to attract tourists from all over the world to holiday at low prices.
Stranglethorn Vale’s beach tourism economy was currently much stronger than the Black Sea Coast. Fortunately, Glory Capital’s Stronghold was inland, and a bit further from the coastline. This meant that they had worse conditions when developing their tourism projects. The land in the game belonged to the Game Company, so you couldn’t just build as you pleased. However, Ruling Sword had absolute autonomy within their own Stronghold.
The Black Sea Coast had abundant resources in fish; there were even rare fish when the Well of Eternity collapsed. If you were interested in going on an adventure, you could ask a Tailor to produce a wetsuit for you to dive. There were a few shipwrecks in close proximity to the Stronghold within the depths of the ocean. As for the active monsters in the sea, Lu Li intended to hire some low-level players to clear them. This wouldn’t cost too much, as those players would want to level up too. Lu Li only needed to give them some low-level potions and some silver coins to repair their equipment.
