Chapter 833 - When Yan Su Came to Her Senses Again, She Was Livid
Luosang knew that renovations were only an excuse, “Liuxi, I know you hate dad. He hasn’t taken care of you for one day of your life, not even a minute. But when he found out that Mother was pregnant, he wanted to keep you. Now we know that he hasn’t done anything to let Mother down as well.”
Mo Liuxi chuckled lightly. “He didn’t, but he had already caused enough hurt for being so close to another woman. He was never responsible towards his family when he was young, I detest men like him.”
Luosang felt helpless. “Yes, you can resent him, it’s really up to you. It’s your choice if you want to acknowledge him but aren’t you the least bit curious what your father looks like? I want you to go so he can see your face. He’s old now and in prison. His health is not like the old days. When he found out that he still had a son, he had many sleepless nights in the prison, he nearly suffered a major depressive disorder!”
Mo Liuxi fell silent for a long time before nodding his head. “Ok, I’ll go with you, but I’m not planning to call him father. I don’t need a father in my life anymore.”
“Alright, I’ll see you at the airport at three in the afternoon then.”
After he ended the call, Mo Liuxi stood in the house for a moment before walking out.
He pressed the down button on the elevator. After about a minute, Yan Su emerged from the lift dragging her suitcase. Yan Su wasn’t planning on greeting him at first but since he was Luosang’s younger brother, she decided to say hi anyway.
“Hi, how are the renovations going…”
Before she could finish, Mo Liuxi had already boarded the elevator and the door had shut.
“…”
When Yan Su came to her senses again, she was livid. That little brat was so ill-mannered; she had already taken the first steps to greet him but he still ignored her. How could someone so sweet like Luosang have a young brother like him? He treated her like air. She would slap herself if she ever bothered to say hi to him in the future. She was still angry when she returned to the apartment so she called Luosang to complain.
“Luo, I think you should really discipline your brother. I can’t take care of him when school starts like you asked, I’ve decided that I won’t interfere with his business at all. I’m not going to invite him over for meals either.”
Luosang found the entire situation funny, it was rare to see Yan Su so worked up.
“Liuxi couldn’t have meant it, I just called him earlier and he is in a foul mood,” Luosang paused, “Yi Jingxi turned himself in so we’re planning to go to An City in the afternoon and I asked Liuxi along. He still hates my dad so I understand if he isn’t feeling too great, he must be very torn.”
“I see…” Yan Su stopped complaining.
She was still hurt over the incident but she reminded herself that he was just a young and immature guy. He had a bad temper but there was no need for her, someone three years older than him, to hold a grudge against him. She decided to keep her distance from him after all. He still had a hot temper.
“If your dad is released, you can finally heave a sigh of relief.”
“Yeah.”
…
At three in the afternoon, Luosang and the party arrived at the airport. Mo Liuxi was already there wearing a denim shirt and matching denim jeans paired with a white pair of sneakers. His charisma was unaffected by the flurrying and the humdrum busy city life. The sunlight cast a warm shadow on him and he caught the eyes of many passengers going about their business. Luosang saw a lady watching him in awe and banging into a pole with her luggage.
An Lan chuckled and remarked, “After seeing your brother, I think many of the celebrities are underwhelming now.”
Nian Junting laughed and turned to Luosang, “I’ve experienced these things all the time since I was young, there are always people asking me for signatures at the airport.”
Luosang pinched the back of his hand. She couldn’t stand how he had to turn this into a competition as well.
“Liuxi…” Luosang waved at him and said, “This is my lawyer, An Lan.”
Mo Liuxi nodded his head casually before turning to check-in with his passport.
“Your brother is really cold and aloof compared to Mr. Nian,” An Lan whispered to her.
Luosang was helpless, “Maybe most outstanding people are like this, they have a cold and aloof personality.”
“Don’t compare me to him,” Nian Junting turned and said, “Don’t you understand, how can anyone compare him to a wise man like me?”
“…”
Luosang rolled her eyes at him, “Are you eavesdropping?”
They had been whispering at such a low volume.
“I don’t want to miss anything you say,” Nian Junting curled his lips into a smile and he was looking at her lovingly.
Luosang blushed. An Lan brought her palm to her forehead. They were so cheesy every time they were out together.
“Luosang, your brother is single, right? Shall I introduce my sister to him?” An Lan smiled and put her arm around Luosang’s shoulders. “My sister is entering Ximei this year as a freshman as well.”
Luosang was sweating, there were so many people trying to set Liuxi up with someone they knew. She had received so many calls recently to ask her for the favour and she didn’t know how to refuse them politely. Her brother was only twenty.
It was a problem to have such a handsome and capable brother. Once he grew older, she would surely receive more requests like this and she would have to then offend many people. She hoped that he would get attached sooner to put a stop to these requests.
“They’re so young,” Luosang smiled, “You don’t have to be in such a hurry.”
“Haha, I’m just joking,” An Lan laughed. “But your brother is so handsome, so many young girls will fall for him once he enters university.”
Luosang had a headache just thinking about it.
After they boarded the plane, Luosang sat with Nian Junting while An Lan sat with Mo Liuxi. Luosang wanted to swap seats with An Lan at first but Nian Junting’s expression was glum.
“Why do you want to sit in the back, are you treating me like garbage now that you have Mo Liuxi?”
“I told you I have things to tell Liuxi,” Luosang frowned.
“No can do,” Nian Junting denied her. “How can you allow another woman to sit with me, aren’t you worried that she might harbor inappropriate feelings for me?”
An Lan’s mouth twitched, “Um… Mr. Nian, I’m standing right here, that wasn’t so appropriate.”
Nian Junting looked at her coldly, “Am I wrong? Sometimes jealousy can really change a woman, no matter how outstanding she is.”
An Lan was flabbergasted. She realized she did not know him at all. She knew that he was a narcissist, but she didn’t expect him to be this extreme. She looked at Luosang and she looked back at her apologetically.
