Mr. Xiao’s Unconditional Love

Chapter 38

Even though Ye Qiao was concerned, the man was actually delighted that she already had a picture of their future in mind.

He smirked in triumph, and then spontaneously, he laid his back against the table while raising a knee to support the ashtray that he took from Instructor Xiao’s table so that he could flick some ash off his cigarette and continue smoking. With his boots on, he decided to relax his posture and put one of his legs down on the floor.

“Don’t worry; be a good girl, and I’ll be sure to revolve my life around you. As long as you attend to my needs, you have nothing to worry about.” He could not hide his amusement anymore.

Ye Qiao immediately knew what he was talking about.

“Xiao, how am I supposed to attend to your needs?” Whilst talking, she cast a look at the side door, worried that their conversation might be overheard. There were only three rooms in the house, with two bedrooms on different ends and a living room in the middle. Although her room was on the other end, she still tried to talk softly so that her parents would not hear her.

Lu Beixiao was no longer pure in thought. The images that he had in mind were almost exotic. Though he had never experienced love-making, Ye Cheng and Zhou Kai had told him enough to learn a thing or two.

“Patience. I’ll teach you everything when I’m back.”

Teach?

“Sure, I’m right here waiting for you,” she teased him back right away.

Lu Beixiao found it more and more difficult to keep the conversation going, for the fire of lust had become so hot that it began consuming his body. Hastily, he took the last puff of his cigarette to calm himself down.

“When will you be back in J City?” He cleared his throat and asked.

“In a while, probably. My brother’s got himself into trouble at school. He’s currently in N City, so I’ll be dropping by in a day or two to visit him,” Ye Qiao explained. Qiao Tian was her foster parents’ only son. He was older than her by two years and was currently in college for a five-year course.

In fact, he had already finished his studies, but there was something that happened before his graduation. It was a long story worth telling and put into a novel.

“Can you handle it by yourself? Didn’t Grandpa Ye send anyone to go back with you?’ Lu Beixiao wanted to find out more.

“He sent his bodyguard, Xiao Dong, to keep me company during the trip. He also sent a lady who works in the retirees’ office,” she answered. However, they were staying in a guest house in the city, as it was rather inconvenient to host another two persons in such a small house. Nevertheless, Ye Qiao felt safe being alone, so she would only ask them to come over to her house when she needed help.

“What’s the use of having Xiao Dong around, anyway?”

Ye Qiao did not know how to respond to his disdain remark. After all, Xiao Dong was one of her grandfather’s closest bodyguards. Hence, she decided to move on from that topic.

“My brother’s a troublemaker indeed. His college wouldn’t have seized his certificate if he hadn’t stirred up the trouble first. He has a girlfriend. Her family has a conflict of interest with a local mob, so he rushed to the fore and beat up the gangsters on their behalf. I’m thinking of bringing him back home so we can find a way to talk to his college and get his certificate. As for the gangsters, we’re just gonna keep avoiding them.” In the past, her brother was deceived by a multi-level marketing organization and decided to join the company, only to be thoroughly scammed. It took him long enough to get himself out of the fraud.

“What’s your brother’s name? Which college did he attend? What year?” He asked.

Ye Qiao knew that he wanted to help.

“Xiao, just focus on your work. I can handle it on my own; I promise.” The last thing that she wanted was to distract him. There was no room for the same mistake that they made in the past.

His silence remained unbroken, which was a clear sign to Ye Qiao that her gruff, domineering boyfriend, was unhappy with her disobedience.

“His name is Qiao Tian, and he studied at N City Technical College; class of 90′. He’ll be graduating this year,” she answered tactfully.
