Chapter 1390 - Auctioning Her Off
“President Lu, you and I are indeed fated. Today, let me give you free marriage divination.”
Standing tall and erect, amusement danced upon Lu Yeming’s handsome brows. “Monk Xuanyi, each of your divinations is worth a thousand pieces of gold. How can I possibly let you give me one for free?”
Monk Xuanyi glanced at him. He was a discerning man after all.
“If President Lu really can’t accept it for free, you can treat me to a meal. Haha.”
Lu Yeming raised his brows. “One meal is not enough. Monk Xuanyi, have you heard of Ah Jiao’s Room?”
What did he mean by that?
Monk Xuanyi had a bad feeling about this.
“This Ah Jiao’s Room is a man’s treasure chest. Every single lady inside is worth a lot. Monk Xuanyi, since you have traveled this far and you and I are fated… Fan Men, go get several of the top girls from Ah Jiao’s Room to take care of Monk Xuanyi.”
“You have found a new wife?” Lu Yeming asked with raised brows.
Murong Jiancheng looked at the woman in the car and his eyes darkened. “I’m leaving now.”
Moments later, he boarded the luxury car and the vehicle steered away.
…
Fan Men walked over and said in a small voice, “Your Highness, the woman in the car is called Ai Lei. She is the sister of the President of Country C. She was married before and got divorced soon after. It’s well-known she has always hankered after His Majesty.
“His Majesty never had a single woman by his side for the past 20-plus years. It is highly possible he is dating this Ai Lei.”
It was apparent that Lu Yeming was not at all disturbed. His brows didn’t even move. “The skies have to rain eventually, my mother wants a divorce and my father wants to remarry. What can I do?”
…
It was soon time for the highly-anticipated Ah Jiao’s Room’s auction. All of the top elites wanted to witness the glorious spectacle of the youngest daughter of the Jun family.
“Did you see what happened that night by the river? The nine senators of Country Z were all kneeling in awe. The legendary Wolf Iron Steed Troop galloped over, howling into the skies. The youngest daughter of the Jun Family truly lives up to her name.”
“I am full of respect and adoration for the youngest daughter of the Jun Family. Even if I just catch a glimpse of her from afar today, I will be satisfied.”
“I have already prepared my entire family fortune to marry her. She is my idea of the perfect fairy.”
“Dream on! All who have come today are big shots. It’s going to be a fierce fight over her!”
Lu Yeming was in a private lounge upstairs. He frowned as he spoke into his cell phone. “Didn’t you say you weren’t going to let Jun Xiqing enter the auction? What happened?”
“Son.” Bei Yuewu’s soft voice was coaxing. “It’s a great business opportunity. The price for Jun Xiqing has shot up astronomically. I want to take this opportunity to earn a bit of money. But don’t worry, my money is your money. It will all be left to you in the future.”
Lu Yeming hung up the phone.
At this moment, Lady Mei came up on stage. “Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to today’s auction. Let us welcome tonight’s guest-of-honor, Jun Xiqing, to the stage.”
Everyone held their breaths in anticipation.
A huge crystal bed strewn with fresh flowers slowly descended from the ceiling. Atop the bed lay a fairy-like beauty with her long lashes lowered as she slept.
It was Jun Xiqing.
She was wearing an ethereal, white woven dress and her two hands were folded across her flat abdomen. The dress was slightly translucent and one could catch glimpses of her two slim legs stretched out neatly side by side. Her snow-white ankles and calves were exposed. Anyone who saw that soft, smooth flesh would feel hot all over.
Lu Yeming gazed down upon her. He had always known how lovely she was, but at this moment, his heart started beating faster because of her.
She was beautiful.
Truly beautiful.
