Chapter 860 - I’ll Be Nice to You. I’ll Give You My Credit Card
Jiang Yuning pushed the bowl of meat to her, then moved his chair closer. He looked exactly like Xiaosi, waiting for her to feed him.
Nian Xi tried the meat herself, then put another piece of meat into his mouth.
Jiang Yuning lowered his head, ate the meat, then ate some rice. After that, he looked at her with a smile of satisfaction.
Nian Xi was speechless.
Is he playing dumb? She thought.
“Eat by yourself. First, I’m not your servant. Second, you’re not my dog. Third, you’re not my boyfriend,” Nian Xi said straightforwardly.
Jiang Yuning paused, thought for a few seconds, then wrote —’I’ll be your boyfriend.’
He felt the first two weren’t likely to happen, so the third one was his only choice.
Nian Xi didn’t know what to say.
Really? He wants to devote himself so he can eat meat?’
Beside Jiang Yuning, Uncle Han quietly put a hand on his forehead. For the very first time, he found that Jiang Yuning was rather shameless.
“I’m sorry. I have no interest in you,” Nian Xi said through clenched teeth.
Hearing that, Jiang Yuning dropped his head, as if he had suffered severe harm.
Nian Xi stopped talking to him, and quickly finished her lunch.
Once again, a note was handed to her —’I’ll be nice to you. I’ll give you my credit card.’
Nian Xi nearly spit out the rice in her mouth.
Normally speaking, she should be proud, as a famous scientist was pursuing her. At the very least, it would be a good story to tell her grandchildren. However, the reason why he pursued her was because the food tasted better when she fed him? That sounded pathetic.
However, Nian Xi was surprised that Jiang Yuning offered to give her his credit card.
“Only people in love can be together. We’ve only seen each other for a few times, and now you’re telling me that you want to be my boyfriend. Stop joking. A relationship is a serious thing. It’s not like two people just simply live together,” said Nian Xi seriously.
She couldn’t stand being with a man who would communicate with sticky notes every day. She would go mad.
“Listen,” she said. “I like talking, I like noisy places, and I like meat. I like delicious food from all over the world; we’re not from the same world.” After saying that, Nian Xi ignored his reaction, and quickly finished the food on her plate.
She then dropped her chopsticks, stood up and said, “Thank you for the lunch. I’m going back to the police station. Uncle Han, can you please find me a ride?”
“Yeah, sure.”
Jiang Yuning immediately stood up, with his eyebrows knitted.
He wanted her to stay but didn’t know how to ask her. With no other choice, he tugged her sleeve.
“I need to work. We’ll leave the next Monday for Paris, and I’ll be here a day before that, with my colleagues. See you then.” Looking at Jiang Yuning’s pitiful face, Nian Xi nearly reached out a hand to rub his hair.
However, she couldn’t do that, as he was actually older than him.
After she was finished talking, Nian Xi headed toward the exit. Jiang Yuning followed closely behind her.
While walking, Uncle Han called the chauffeur.
By the door, the chauffeur drove the car over. Before Nian Xi got in the car, a note was put in her hand.
Nian Xi read the note —’Come early. I’ll buy you meat.’
Jiang Yuning’s black and innocent eyes were filled with expectation. Nian Xi smiled and felt a warmness in her heart.
“I like beef. Get some beef for me.” She got into the car smiling.
Jiang Yuning fixed his eyes on the car as it left until Uncle Han patted him on the shoulder and asked him, “Mr. Jiang, do you like Miss. Nian?”
Jiang Yuning nodded with a smile, then abruptly said with a deep voice, “Go and buy some beef. She likes beef.”
“Alright.” Uncle Han nodded and responded smilingly, “Paris has a lot of beef. Mr. Jiang, you can take Miss. Nian to a steak place in Paris. She’ll like it.”
