Growing Fond of You, Mr Nian

Chapter 875

Nian Xi felt like the bad guy.

She regretted it. She shouldn’t have said what she said the day before. Uncle Han was right. She was being too hurtful. Just because she cared about what others thought of her, she selfishly pushed away someone so pure and kind.

At the VIP waiting lounge.

They were standing around and chatting here and there. Only Jiang Yuning was sitting down in a daze. Perhaps he was deep in thought, but Nian Xi thought he looked bored and a little sad.

Like what Uncle Han said: He had no friends and he wasn’t good at socializing. He extended his kindness to her, but she shunned it because it bothered her. The more she thought about it, the more upset she felt. She wanted to walk over to him but the lounge was quiet; she didn’t know how to explain herself if she walked over to him.

When they finally boarded the plane, Uncle Han and Jiang Yuning sat together. Nian Xi walked over and asked to change seats with Uncle Han.

Uncle Han refused her. “Officer Nian. Haven’t I made myself clear? Have you stopped caring about what others think about you?”

Nian Xi was blushing from embarrassment. “Uncle Han, I can protect him if I sit next to him. I’m here to apologize to you and Mr. Jiang. I was being selfish yesterday.”

“Have you really thought this through?” Uncle Han raised his brows. “Please don’t do anything else to hurt Mr. Jiang anymore. The longer you spend time together, the more hurtful your words will be.”

“I promise, I won’t.” Nian Xi swore.

“Please take care of Mr. Jiang during the flight then.” Uncle Han stood up to make way.

Jiang Yuning looked at Uncle Han and he seemed troubled. He then looked at Nian Xi and quickly looked away, staring outside the window.

“Isn’t it uncomfortable to sit that way?” Nian Xi teased him. He still wasn’t looking at her. She could only see his side profile; his pink ear facing her.

Suddenly, she leaned in and blew in his ear.

Jiang Yuning felt a wave of electricity pass through him and he turned around violently. Nian Xi’s face was inches away from him.

After staring into each other’s eyes for a while, Jiang Yuning was blushing to the tips of his ears.

Nian Xi was feeling a little awkward, but she found it amusing when she saw his face turn red.

“All right. Don’t be angry anymore. I’ll apologize to you, and it’s not that I don’t want to be your friend, neither do I dislike you,” Nian Xi said. “I’m sorry. Will you still talk to me?”

Jiang Yuning was still looking at her in a daze. Nian Xi was looking at him as well. He looked like a sweet, cute and innocent boy.

After nearly half a minute, he quickly wrote on his notepad, ‘Can I still follow you around and talk to you? Do you like me?’

Nian Xi nodded her head. “Of course we can be good friends.”

Jiang Yuning’s eyes lit up, and he nodded his head and wrote again, ‘Please don’t hate me. I like you.’

Nian Xi’s heart melted when she read what he wrote. How could there be anyone as pure and innocent as him? He was like a blank slate.

“I like you as a friend too.” Nian Xi smiled.

Jiang Yuning was grinning like a child.

“Put on your seat belt,” Nian Xi said, reminding him.

He obediently fastened his seatbelt and continued to stare at her.

“Look to the front, don’t always stare at me.” Nian Xi adjusted his face to the front.

Jiang Yuning grinned as he wrote, ‘You are pretty.’
