The Tempestuous Consort – Wilfully Pampered by the Beastly Highness

Chapter 243 - Jealous?

Feng Tianlan got into her carriage and peeked at Si Rong and Tu Xiupei through the window.

“Second Miss.” Si Rong walked over to Tu Xiupei and took out a greaseproof paper bag from his coat and held it out. “I heard that you left the house very early, and I’m sure you’re starving by now. I lined up personally to buy this for you. Because I was afraid it would get cold, I put it in my coat to keep it toasty. You should eat it while it’s still warm.”

Feng Tianlan heard this from the carriage and couldn’t help but roll her eyes. This was the exact same stuff he’d said and done when he’d tried to make up with her just ten days ago. This man was unbelievable.

When Tu Xiupei saw this, she knew instantly what Si Rong was trying to do. She wanted to reject him, but she could feel Si Mobai’s icy and intense aura coming from behind and Feng Tianlan rolling her eyes in jealousy in front of her. On top of that, she remembered how Tu Xiuyu had been made her lose her virginity.

Si Rong was just being friendly, but Si Mobai’s aura was so cold that it was terrifying. She was sure that he would be jealous if Si Rong were friendly with her, while Feng Tianlan was also bitter and rolled her eyes. If she accepted this gesture, then both of them would go crazy.

“That’s so nice. I’m feeling hungry.” Tu Xiupei accepted the little bag from Si Rong and took a small bite of the Osmanthus cake inside.

When Si Rong saw how quickly she accepted it, his pride swelled. “I hope you like it.”

He knew it – Since he was such a handsome man, Si Rong was confident that, as long as he tried, no woman wouldn’t fall for him. Even if she were the top genius, in the end, she was also only just a woman.

Si Mobai used his cold, biting stare to cut through and around Si Rong like a knife made from ice.

He saw that Si Rong was standing a little too close to Lan’er, and he looked like he was about to call her ‘Lan’er.’ If he didn’t keep Si Rong in check, then the beating he received the other day would have been in vain!

Si Rong shuddered when he felt Si Mobai’s icy knife-like glare land on him. His second brother’s aura was becoming increasingly terrifying. Since Si Mobai was warning him with his gaze, did that mean that he was interested in Tu Xiupei?

If that were the case, then Si Rong had to give her up. But he wanted to try and woo her first. Tu Xiupei seemed to be interested in him, so she shouldn’t be concerned with his second brother. Perhaps Tu Xiupei had destroyed Yu’er’s cinnabar field precisely because she was jealous of Yu’er?

Tu Xiupei looked at Si Mobai from behind. The Wargod was the Wargod alright, and his thoughts were different from others. He obviously liked her but had sent her flying to attract her attention. How childish!

She was going to give him the cold shoulder for now and use Si Rong to make him jealous. Then, when he couldn’t stand it anymore and confessed his feelings to her, she would whet his appetite and lead him by the nose.

Luo Yunzhu pulled down her side of the curtain. “Tianlan, why do I feel like the three of them are behaving very strangely?”

“It’s none of our business.” Feng Tianlan sat up straight, and the carriage started moving. “We just have to sit here and watch a good show.”

Luo Yunzhu nodded then looked at Feng Tianlan, who was leaning against the carriage lazily again, her face full of questions. “Tu Xiupei and his family are such irritating people. Since you’re the clan head now, why don’t you chase them out of Feng Manor?”

“I’m a sentimental person,” Feng Tianlan sarcastically answered Luo Yunzhu using the remark the public had made about her.

“You’re sentimental, but they’re heartless and are always on the lookout for how to get back at you. By leaving them in Feng Manor, you can’t avoid them. Don’t you find looking at them disgusting?”

Feng Tianlan tried not to laugh when she realized that Luo Yunzhu was taking her seriously. “It’s quite interesting, actually.”

“Interesting my foot. There’s nothing to gain from keeping them around, so you might as well chase them out. It would be easier on your eyes.” Luo Yunzhu couldn’t understand the rationale of keeping them in the house. If it were her, she would have definitely chased them out.
