My Youth Began With Him

Chapter 1963 - The Sound of Bad Luck Knocking on Your Door (14)

“Uh, it was nothing.” Uncle Qin said as he tried to cover up the fact.

“Uncle, you can’t hide it from us. Just tell us what really happened. Otherwise, we’ll think of the worst,” looking at his uncle, Qin Chu slowly said.

It turned out that Huo Mian was suspicious ever since he slipped up at dinner.

Although Qin Ning covered it up, Huo Mian clearly didn’t believe her.

After a few days of contact, Huo Mian got to know Qin Ning pretty well.

She was the type that would be willing to take days off to hang out with the twins, so it didn’t make sense that she was decided to let the twins play alone with just the bodyguards following in order to focus on her own work. Something must’ve happened.

Qin Chu and Huo Mian weren’t ordinary people, and they excelled at analyzing situations.

Seeing both of them already making themselves clear, Qin Chu’s uncle had no choice but to tell the truth.

After truthfully recounting everything that happened, Qin Chu and Huo Mian’s faces sank.

“I didn’t think that they would misbehave like this…” Qin Chu softly said.

Huo Mian bit her lip and remained silent.

“Sweetie, are you okay?” Qin Chu realized that something was wrong with Huo Mian and put his arm around her shoulders.

“I’m fine. It’s getting late, we should let Uncle rest. Let’s go back to our room.”

After speaking, Huo Mian and Qin Chu got up…

Huo Mian didn’t go straight to her room. Rather, she headed straight into the bathroom, where the twins were enjoying a bubble bath.

“Mommy, you’re so impolite. Why didn’t you knock?” Little Bean pouted.

“Are you done?” Huo Mian patiently asked.

“Almost, Sis-in-Law, is something wrong?” Qin Ning turned to look at her.

“Nothing, Chu and I just miss the kids. After they’re done, bring them to my room.”

“Okay, no problem. I’ll send them over after they’re done.” Qin Ning smiled.

Huo Mian scanned her daughters before turning to leave the bathroom.

“Sis, why are you being so quiet? What are you thinking about?” Little Bean patted Pudding’s shoulder with her chubby hand.

“I feel like there’s something off with Mommy.” Pudding seemed a bit worried.

“Eh, stop thinking too much… No wonder Mommy calls you a pessimist… Be confident, you’re not like a Scorpio at all, you’re not cool…” Little Bean complained.

“Oh, so that’s why you guys are so mean… You guys are Scorpios, haha.” Qin Ning suddenly thought of their star signs.

“Right, Auntie, what is your zodiac sign?” Little Bean inquired.

“Uh, I am an Aries,” Qin Ning replied.

“Ahahahaha, you’re an Aries, no wonder…” Little Bean erupted in laughter.

“No wonder what?” Qin Ning looked confused, and she didn’t know why they found it funny.

“Sis… Why don’t you tell her about the classic characteristics of an Aries?” Little Bean poked Pudding.

Pudding was pulled back to the real world, scanned her aunt’s face, and said, “The temper of Aries girls are short, they’re quick to anger.”

“That’s true, I have a bad temper. At board meetings, I always fight with your grandpa over work…”

“Aries are actually very kind, they’re just short-tempered and impatient. They blow up if there’s only a spark,” Pudding continued to say.

“Am I a grenade? How do I blow up?” Qin Ning sighed.

At that moment, Little Bean couldn’t hold back and interrupted, “You didn’t even say an Aries’ favorite thing.”

Pudding said, “I don’t think I should, she can’t take it.”

“What’s an Aries’ favorite thing?” Hearing Pudding said that only made Qin Ning more curious.
