Growing Fond of You, Mr Nian

Chapter 1169 - Nian Xi Made My Hair Look so Good

“Carbon Dust?” Jiang Yuning furrowed his brows into a deep frown, said, “I think someone talked to me about carbon dust a couple of days ago.”

Nian Xi’s eyes glowed. She walked to him, grabbed his collar and pulled him toward herself, saying, “Think carefully. Who talked to you about it? Is it Duan Yang?”

Jiang Yuning gazed at her face. It was the first time he looked at her so closely. The light streetlight short into the car, brightened her face, left shadows under her long eyelashes. Her glowing eyes were fixed on his face, so tempting, seemed to even swallow him.

Looking at her in the eyes, Jiang Yuning’s brain went blank for a moment. His brain buzzed as he murmured, “Your eyes are so beautiful.”

Only after hearing that did Nian Xi notice how close they were to each other. She blushed slightly, hurriedly pushed him away and said, “I’m asking you about carbon dust, but you’re talking about something else. I know that I have pretty eyes. I don’t need your compliment.”

Jiang Yuning was a little disappointed, as the distance between him and her suddenly grew larger. “I don’t know if it was Duan Yang or not. A few days ago, someone asked me about the jet mill after class. That’s a type of machine that’s able to produce carbon dust. He said that the current size distribution isn’t enough, so he asked me if he can use air compressor for further differentiation and compression.”

“Jet mill, that’s it,” said Nian Xi excitedly, “I heard that he was working on that project when I investigated into him. It must be him who asked you about that. Great! Jiang Yuning, you are amazing!”

She happily rumpled his hair, turned it into a mess, then said, “I got to go. Bye.”

“Em,” Jiang Yuning got off the car confusedly, with messy hair.

It was the first time he saw her laughing so happily. He couldn’t help but gently touch his own hair.

How come he liked her rumpling his hair so much?

He curved his lips in a smile.

When he got upstairs, Uncle Han saw his messy hair and got surprised. “What happened to your hair?”

Jiang Yuning gave him a proud glance, then wrote—’Nian Xi did it.’

Uncle Han’s mouth corners twitched slightly when he read the note. “Go take a shower and blow it out.”

Jiang Yuning shook his head, then walked to the mirror, looked himself in it, smiled sweetly and said, “Nian Xi made my hair look so good.”

Uncle Han felt very speechless.

His hair did not look good, at all.

‘Nian Xi might even be able to make you feel comfortable by slapping you on the face,’ thought Uncle Han.

Before bed, Jiang Yuning asked Uncle Han for the charger of his phone.

“Is it running out of battery already?” Uncle Han asked. His phone was fully charged earlier today before he left home.

Jiang Yuning glanced at the phone and said, “Ninety-five percent left. I want it fully charged, in case it died when Nian Xi invited me for dinner or a movie or something else.”

Uncle Han rested his forehead on a palm said, “Don’t worry. Your phone certainly won’t turn off until tomorrow morning.”

That phone would stay on probably until the day after tomorrow. Besides, she wouldn’t contact her during the night. She needed to sleep.

Jiang Yuning shook his head determinedly, said, “No. What if it does turn itself off?”

Uncle Han sighed. He had no choice but to let the boy do whatever he wanted. Jiang Yuning was willing to talk now. It was a good thing anyway.

Nian Xi went home, checked her phone and found a WeChat message from Jiang Yuning—’Are you home yet? Let me know when you got home.’

Nian Xi was a little surprised. She wasn’t expecting him to be so caring.

‘I’m home,’ she replied.

Jiang Yuning sent her another message within one second—’Good. I had a great time having dinner together with you.’
