Chapter 1547 - Atiesh’s Shard
After looting the Dark Gold equipment, it was time to move on to the Epic equipment.
The first thing they looted was two pieces of T2 set equipment. One was for Mages and one was for Warriors. Both these roles had been relatively popularised. Lu Li took the Mage one and gave the other to Water Fairy, who passed it to Deadly Gold Underpants.
Next was an Epic Necklace, which could be used by all physical attack roles. Because of this, it was relatively competitive.
Lu Li was still wearing the Dragonfire Amulet, which was of an excellent quality. There was a rare special effect if you were wearing it – you could revive on the spot you were killed once a day. Your XP after revival was reduced by 50%, and no one could attack you for 3 seconds after reviving.
Lu Li had this advantage regardless of whether he was in an Instance Dungeon or playing PVP.
As such, Lu Li wouldn’t swap the Necklace for another so quickly. Perhaps he wouldn’t swap it for the whole time he was level 60.
Lu Li gave this equipment to Water Fairy as Drizzle Court hadn’t received either of the T2 set equips.
The fourth piece was a weapon.
Wolfslayer Sniper Rifle!
Wolfslayer Sniper Rifle (Epic): Damage 84-136, Agility +160, Strength +30, Evasion +30, Groove 2. Special Effect 1: Movement Speed +20%, Special Effect 2: Lookout. With this effect in play, a long-distance view will be obtained. Continues for 30 seconds. 1-minute Cooldown. Special Effect 3: Ripping Bullets. The moment this rifle is fired, it will cause the target to bleed for 5 continuous seconds. 1-minute Cooldown. Requires level 60, endurance 300/300.
This firearm was considered a Hunter’s weapon, but it was also in demand by Warriors and Thieves.
Appearance-wise, this gun was well-crafted, so those who cared about aesthetics really liked it. However, this weapon was meant for a level 60 Hunter, so they weren’t in line to compete for it.
The Wolfslayer was a two-handed weapon that dealt almost the same damage of Lu Li’s single-handed Felstriker. Furthermore, since there was an Evasion quality, for a Hunter, it wouldn’t be that useful. The second special effect was also the same as one of their skills, so it was wasted.
However, the Attributes were very good, and the third special effect would provide the Hunters with an extra method of dealing with Thieves. The bleeding effect would prevent a Thief from going to hide themselves for the next 5 seconds.
“I’ll take that gun,” Lu Li said bluntly.
The other players didn’t have much to say. This quest had been triggered by Lu Li, and recently, he hadn’t taken much equipment. His long-ranged weapon was still his Flawless Arcanite Rifle. Even with special effects, if his level 50 Dark Gold weapon was any worse, it would really make him lose face, especially because he was the leader of a major club.
The main reason Lu Li wanted this gun was for the Lookout special effect.
For a Hunter, it was easy to gain a long-distance field of vision, but a Thief didn’t have a similar skill. To observe the enemy, Lu Li still needed to transform into a crow and fly up in the sky.
Additionally, Ripping Bullets were a useful thing for Lu Li. He could use them to carry out a mirror match up with another Thief.
The Flawless Arcanite Rifle was definitely top class though. No matter the situation, it did a great job of dishing out 300 ranged damage. It was especially good for Thieves without a long-distance fighting ability. However, the 300 attack damage would be decreased with an increase in defense.
Under normal circumstances, anything over 100 damage was already not bad.
In the end, what made Lu Li change his Flawless Arcanite Rifle was the difference in quality.
This Wolfslayer Sniper Rifle had almost 300 attribute points put together. For level 60s, this was already the limit.
Preceptor’s Hat!
It turned out there was a fifth piece of Epic equipment. This time, it was a Cloth Armor for Priests.
Obviously, it was of amazing quality, but at that time, when T2 equipment was so popular, the sale price was definitely a little worse than normal.
Lu Li gave it to Water Fairy for her to distribute fairly.
“There’s still more!” Remnant Dream exclaimed.
“Still more?”
Lu Li just couldn’t calm down. One Boss dropping five Epic equips was unheard of, even if it was a Wild Boss.
No wonder so many clubs in the last couple of days had been fighting so hard to kill the Plaguelands Wild Boss. It turned out that the drops here were increased. Even if it cost a little more, it was still worth it.
“Desecrated Girdle, Mold,” Remnant Dream announced, showing the piece of equipment to everyone.
“A T3 belt,” Lu Li said. It looked like this Heigan Lavender and ‘Heigan the Unclean’ in the Naxxramas Instance Dungeon were one and the same. It was just that they had fought the strengthened Wild version, which was why he would drop a T3 set equipment belt.
“Such a strange name,” Remnant Dream commented as she handed the belt to Lu Li. Then, hoping against all odds, she continued to search the corpse.
The Desecrated Girdle was used by Paladins, Shamans, Hunters and Druids.
Originally, it was the Shamans, Hunters and Druids who didn’t have many points to spend for equipment. Then all of a sudden, they were put together to compete for the item, and they were also competing with the Paladins, who had more players on their side. There wasn’t anything else more infuriating.
Lu Li kept this piece of equipment. He was planning to give it to Mu Qiu, because Mu Qiu was switching to a damage output Paladin build, so Lu Li had to give enough resources.
As for how Mu Qiu felt, Lu Li didn’t actually care. After giving him enough resources, he hoped that Mu Qiu would be able to reciprocate with a certain degree of results. If Mu Qiu was able to become a second Tire Killer like in Lu Li’s memory of his past life, then all the investment would be meaningful. Otherwise, he really wouldn’t be able to explain his own greed.
“Splinter of Atiesh. What is this thing?”
Remnant Dream felt that today, her hands had touched too many things.
However, this last item didn’t look like it fit within the traditional set of equipment. It looked more like a of rare material, or a quest item.
After Lu Li heard Remnant Dream’s voice, his gaze burned through her Chain Mail Armor. This scared her a little, but she quickly understood what Lu Li’s gaze meant. She was immediately happy for her own pets. Boss Lu Li had given her another award and her little pets could have an extra meal.
It was another weapon that required one complete do a lot of quests before getting it; it was another Legendary weapon.
Atiesh, Greatstaff of the Guardian!
The Guardian Tirisfal’s mystical Magic Staff which had been passed down from generation to generation for over 2000 years!
Medivh’s weapon!
Even though it was only the most tiny, insignificant part, it was still a good start. This weapon couldn’t simply be had by obtaining 40 shards and combining them together. They still needed to kill two final Bosses in large-scale Instance Dungeons to complete it. It definitely wasn’t any easier to gain than any of the other Legendary weapons.
Since the quest was so difficult, where the shards were distributed was also very random.
However, because of how things turned out, Lu Li felt as though this shard was extremely valuable, and would greatly increase the strength of his club.
