The voice instantly and wholly disrupted the warm atmosphere in the quiet hospital ward.
“Yi?” Pei Ge lifted her head and looked over at the source of this foreign voice in confusion.
This was when she realized with a start that Mu Heng was standing behind her and Ji Ziming. His usually playful attitude was not present at the moment, and he seemed to have transformed into a totally different person.
“Why are you here?” Also noticing Mu Heng’s presence, Ji Ziming turned to regard him indifferently.
When Mu Heng spoke earlier, Ji Ziming thought that he had accidentally spoken his thoughts aloud.
“Ha ha! Of course, it is to visit you, you punk. It turns out you don’t need me, though, as you have this pretty lady here. Ze, ze, ze! How comforting!” His face broke into a teasing smile as he looked at his best friend.
Since the man had agreed to her taking the remaining vegetables home, she gratefully and willingly cooked an extra dish for him.
Thereafter, she proudly served the dishes and soup to Ji Ziming. This was when she heard Mu Heng cry out, “Yi?! Ziming, are you having this for dinner?!”
