My Youth Began With Him

Chapter 2377 - So He’s Ian (8)

“Yeah, I know. I have to be a live-in son-in-law, right?”

“So you’re fine with it?” Qin Ning said.

Yeah. What else can I do? I don’t have another choice if I want to marry you. I want to be with you so I guess I will just do what I have to do…” Tang Chuan said with a chuckle.

“Stop fooling around. This isn’t something to joke about…” Qin Ning was not happy with Tang Chuan’s lighthearted attitude.

“Ning-Ning, I’m not fooling around. When have I ever joked around with such a serious topic? I’m being serious.”

“But… I don’t want you to lose your freedom because of me. I know what it’s like to live in America and I know you won’t like it. Also, your family wouldn’t agree for you to be some other family’s live-in son-in-law… I don’t want to make it more difficult for you…” Qin Ning had the best interest in mind for Tang Chuan as she knew he didn’t actually want it to be like that. She couldn’t sacrifice Tang Chuan’s happiness to fulfill her selfish wishes. Moreover, she didn’t want him to be laughed at when he becomes a live-in son-in-law of her family.

“Ning-Ning, I know what you’re thinking… However, it’s really simple. We’re in love so we should be together. I don’t have any other solutions right now so I’ll do as your father says. Let’s not make this more complicated. Think about it. If we complicate everything in life, we just make our lives a lot harder. Do you know why I respect Huo Mian so much?” Tang Chuan asked enthusiastically.

Qin Ning was confused and shook her head.

“I respect Mian not because of her intelligence or calmness but how she is so determined once she made up her mind. Many guys can’t even do that. Remember when your brother was in jail and we were all worried that someone was going to kill him in there? When Mian made up her mind, she went into court and confessed to that crime. Do you know how many people were surprised by her actions? She told no one about her plan. The moral of my story is that we shouldn’t think too much, as long as it’s for the sake of us two together. It doesn’t matter what I do or what you do, as long as we can be happy together, it’s enough, don’t you think?”

Tang Chuan was an optimistic and carefree person. He always smiled. He wasn’t as domineering as Su Yu nor was he as calm as Wei Liao, and he rarely talked about the principles of life.

Qin Ning was slightly surprised by Tang Chuan’s speech.

After thinking about what he had just said, she was relieved and said, “Yes, you’re right. As long as we’re together, we don’t need to care about everything else. You can go pack and we’ll fly back tomorrow.”

“I’m already packed so what we need to do is enjoy our food. I’m starving. Can we not just drink coffee? Why don’t you be less stingy and treat me to pizza?” Tang Chuan asked.

Qin Ning chuckled, hearing Tang Chuan’s words.

“Okay Mr. Tang. I can treat you to ten pizzas. After all, you’re going to belong to me from now on!”

Yeah. Since you’re going to be my provider, you need to be a good one…” Tang Chuan continued to tease.

This made Qin Ning cringe a bit but this was just life. In life, some people were happy while some people were sad.

Qin Ning and Tang Chuan had come to a consensus that they would go back to America and live a happy life together. So, they were both very happy.

Meanwhile, Qin Chu was worried every day because Ian was here. No matter how hard he investigated, he could not find out where Ian was.

He finally understood that Qiao Fei and Lu Yan weren’t exaggerating when they said Ian was an incredible man.

Qin Chu was always afraid that Ian would hurt Huo Mian so he would always worry about her when she’s at work. Even when he had his morning meeting, he zoned out. It was his first time zoning out in a meeting.
