Pei Ge was awoken from her dreams the next morning by her body clock.
“Hah!” she yawned and then sat up on the bed. When she turned to look at Tang Xiaoyu, who was sleeping very sweetly by her side, her face instantly broke into a bright smile.
How nice it is that Xiaoyu is back!
She tiptoed out of the bed and wore the clothes she had haphazardly thrown on to a chair by the side the night before.
Despite her light actions, her best friend still woke up from her slumber.
“Haaa…” Tang Xiaoyu yawned, slowly opened her eyes, and asked sleepily, “What time is it?”
“No, I didn’t,” he replied curtly and continued driving.
“This road doesn’t lead to the office, though.” She frowned at the foreign view outside.
The traffic light ahead turned red, and he slowed the car down.
“When did I say that I am going to the office?” He turned and looked at her plainly.
She was completely caught off guard by his response.
Not going to the office?! If you’re not going to the office, then why did you make me get into your car?! Damn it!
“…” She was speechless for a while and then resentfully said, “CEO Ji, why didn’t you say so earlier? I’ll alight now and just take a bus to the office.”
Damn! This annoying person must be doing it on purpose!
The traffic light turned green. He cast her a look before ordering, “Sit still; we’ll go to the office after having breakfast.”
“Huh?” She looked in his direction with wide eyes.
“Breakfast?”
The only response she received from him, however, was to return his eyes on the road ahead and continue driving the car.
“Mhm.”
“Bu – But if I eat breakfast, I’ll be late for work,” she said with a hint of unwillingness.
“…” At this, his palms tightly gripped the steering wheel.
This damn woman! Many people wish they can join me for breakfast, yet this dumb woman is unwilling to do so!
