Chapter 2504 - 2504 The Last Ace (4)
“As you wish,” Huo Mian replied faintly.
“Should I call you Dr. Huo, or do you prefer Vice Director Huo?” Liu Ze asked as he put his lunch tray down across from her.
“Either is fine.”
“I’ll call you Dr. Huo then, Vice Director Huo makes you sound old,” he joked.
“I don’t care, I’m not that young anyways,” Huo Mian said nonchalantly.
“Come on, you’re at the height of your looks!”
“Thanks for the compliment, but I’m really not.”
“Has your car been fixed?”
“I think so, but I haven’t picked it up yet.”
“Mhm, I saw you driving a white Porsche this morning. You guys sure have a lot of luxury cars, Qin Chu is seriously rich,” Liu Ze commented objectively.
“Of course, why else would I have dated him back in high school? My dream is to marry rich,” Huo Mian bashed on herself.
“You are not that type of person…”
“Dr. Liu, you don’t know me well. I don’t like people who try to guess things about me.”
“Although we weren’t classmates for very long, you left a deep impression on me, really.”
“I’ll take that as a compliment.”
“However, those who enter late will miss a lot of things…” Liu Ze said vaguely, but Huo Mian knew what he was trying to say.
“I need to get back to work, enjoy the rest of your lunch, Dr. Liu.” Huo Mian got up with a polite smile, set her lunch tray aside, and then turned around to leave.
Liu Ze looked at Huo Mian as she walked away and smiled meaningfully. “She really is hard to get.”
Su Yu had been in a bad mood recently so he didn’t see the twins. In the end, the girls couldn’t help but hunt Su Yu down.
“President Su, Pudding and Little Bean are here.” An came in after knocking.
“What?” Su Yu was in the middle of a videoconference. As soon as he heard that the twins were here, he said to his employees on the other end, “Something came up, let’s tie up the meeting. Email me if you have any questions, alright?”
Then, he hung up. By the time he stood up, Pudding and Little Bean had already come in.
Today, they were wearing loose black pants paired with white shirts and black vests. They were complete fashionistas. “You guys look really good today,” Su Yu said, his expression filled with fatherly love.
“I don’t believe you, why haven’t you visited us in such a long time?” Little Bean immediately complained.
“I’ve been really busy, plus it hasn’t been that long!” Su Yu said, feeling wronged.
“It’s been six days, that’s one day short of a week!” Little Bean corrected him.
“Okay, it’s my fault, haha. But I bought a robot and asked your mommy to give it to you, didn’t I? Doesn’t that make up for my not visiting you guys?” Su Yu smiled.
Pudding sat down on Su Yu’s couch and said as she chewed gum. “Are you sure you want to bring that up? Handsome Su, if you’re so busy, why did you have time to see Mommy at South Side?”
“I… went for a checkup, I was on the way…” Su Yu thought of a random reason.
“That’s not what Mommy said, your testimony is inadmissible,” Pudding rebutted.
“Gosh, my little princesses… I admit that I’m wrong, I’m guilty, okay? I already hung up an important conference call when you guys came, isn’t that good enough?” Su Yu’s temper was surprisingly mellow when he was with the twins.
“Handsome Su, aside from the fact that we really wanted to see you today, we came to ask you for help.” Little Bean playfully climbed onto Su Yu’s lap and cutely put her arms around his neck.
“You guys want my help? What kind of trouble did you get into?” Su Yu looked at the twins cautiously.
