Mr Fu, I Really Love You

Chapter 945 - Won’t You Regret It?

Chapter 945: Won’t You Regret It?

Although Song Yao hadn’t known Cen Mo for long, she had still known him for quite some time. She knew he was arrogant and an extremely prideful person!

Based on what she knew about him, if he really went through all of that, then the people who knew about it… should have been silenced by him already. And why would he tell other people about these things?

Zhong Moli nodded. “Right… you’re right! Cen Mo didn’t tell me about it. But I’m not just anybody. Finding out what he experienced in the past or even his identity before he entered the black market is a piece of cake!”

Normally, if a person entered the black market as an item for sale, it would be impossible to find out their former identity.

Unless families like Zhong Moli’s wanted such information!

“Song Yao, it’s up to you whether to believe what I just told you. But since you’re together with the person you love, what are you feeling hesitant and scared about? Life is short… if you miss the opportunity to spend it with Cen Mo, won’t you regret it?

“If you’re not convinced about my identity, I can wait here until he comes back and let him confirm it for you. But I really want you two to have a lasting relationship!

“I came here to tell you about his past so that you can understand his brutal temper and control issues, so you won’t get the wrong idea about him. He just wants to have some control over you. He worries about you and fears that you’ll leave just as much as he loves you! Cen Mo is so arrogant that it’s sickening, and he has an unimaginably strong sense of pride. If he could choose one person to never know about all the hardships he once faced, he would definitely choose the woman he loves the most… and that’s you!”

It was hard for Song Yao to process what Zhong Moli said about Cen Mo’s past.

At this point, Song Yao no longer had any doubts about Zhong Moli’s identity or her intentions…

Song Yao’s heart had never ached like this for someone before, much less the man she loved dearly.

“As a friend, I feel that the life Cen Mo led in the past was too difficult, so I’m willing to do everything I can to help him be happy. This is the most I can do and the most I will do for him!” Zhong Moli gave Song Yao a gentle smile. “Our engagement has been called off, and he’s able to protect himself now. So, in the future, I won’t contact him ever again unless I have a reason to. As for whether you’re going to have a lasting relationship with him, that’s your choice. I can’t interfere with that!”

Then, without waiting for Cen Mo to return, Song Yao chose to trust Zhong Moli and decided to stay with Cen Mo…

The sound of a servant bringing Song Yao’s fruit tea into the greenhouse pulled her wandering mind back to the present. The servant carefully put down the cup of tea and left, leaving just Song Yao and Cen Mo in the room.

Song Yao’s heart ached as she looked at Cen Mo’s masculine side profile. She took her tablet and straddled Cen Mo so that their necks touched, as she didn’t want him to see that her eyes had reddened. With her arms under Cen Mo’s armpits, she held up the tablet and watched her cartoons…

“What’s wrong?” Cen Mo took off his Bluetooth headset and gently rubbed Song Yao’s back.

“I want to sit with you like this. You can do your work, and I can watch my cartoons. I won’t disturb you…” Song Yao said as she put her earphones in. As the sounds from the cartoon filled her ears, she rubbed her red and aching eyes. She vowed to control her temper and treat Cen Mo better from then on.

On the other side of the screen, the people Cen Mo was having a meeting with were in the middle of a discussion, but they became silent the moment they heard a woman’s voice coming from their big boss’s side.

As long as Song Yao was by Cen Mo’s side, he would do anything for her, even excessively spoiling her. He wrapped his arms around Song Yao’s slender waist and put in his headset again. He looked at the materials sent to him from the conference room and said, “Go on. Why did you all stop?”

Song Yao felt Cen Mo’s chest, which was tightly pressed against hers, vibrate. She thought Cen Mo was talking to her and took out her earphones. She then sat up and looked at Cen Mo as she asked, “What?”

“What?” Cen Mo was confused as well.

The people in the conference room heard the sound of a woman with Cen Mo and looked at one another, unsure if they should continue with the meeting.

“I had earphones in, so I didn’t hear what you said…” There was a look of confusion in Song Yao’s bright eyes as she looked at Cen Mo.

“I told them to continue with the meeting. What’s wrong?”

Song Yao’s eyes widened and turned to look at the screen. She whispered timidly to Cen Mo, “Video conference?”

“Conference call…” Cen Mo answered her honestly.

Blood instantly rushed to Song Yao’s head as she pulled away from Cen Mo in embarrassment and stammered, “I-I’ll leave you to your work!”

With his dark eyes, Cen Mo watched as Song Yao curled up against a corner of the couch with her tablet, her face and ears flushing a bright red. She tried to act composed, but her toes were curled up in embarrassment. Cen Mo chuckled and went back to reading through his materials. He wanted to end the meeting as soon as possible so that he could comfort his little wife!

Song Yao distractedly watched her cartoons and fell asleep before Cen Mo could finish his meeting…

Song Yao still had a decent appetite after becoming pregnant. She just felt sleepy very often.

Cen Mo covered Song Yao with a blanket. After he ended the meeting, he gently carried her back to the bedroom.

As Cen Mo walked out of the greenhouse, Song Yao opened her eyes slightly. Cen Mo gently coaxed the pregnant young lady, saying, “Sleep. I’m carrying you back to the room!”

Song Yao instinctively wrapped her arms tightly around Cen Mo’s neck and lay her head against his chest as she closed her eyes.

Cen Mo placed Song Yao on the bed and covered her with the blanket. After pressing a kiss to the area between her eyebrows, he quietly walked to the balcony to light a cigarette.

When Cen Mo was together with Song Yao, he always refrained from smoking, not wanting it to affect the baby…

Before he had finished smoking the cigarette, Cen Mo’s phone vibrated. He took it out of his pocket and answered the call.

Over the phone, Saihand told him, “Sir, we’ve brought back the guy. However, he refuses to give us Miss’s husband’s ashes even after we beat him to a pulp. He insists on meeting you…”

Cen Mo exhaled a puff of thin smoke, and his eyes narrowed. He looked down and extinguished the cigarette butt on the balcony railings as he replied, “I’ll come over!”

When Cen Mo walked back into the room, he didn’t go near Song Yao since his whole body smelled of cigarettes. He gazed at her intently before he walked out of the room and towards the underground basement.

In the basement, a man who had been beaten bloody knelt on the floor. He was on the verge of collapsing, and blood continuously dripped down the side of his face.

Cen Mo sat on the couch in the basement, his slender legs crossed over each other. He lazily placed a hand on the backrest of the couch as a cigarette hung from the corner of his mouth. He slurred his words as he talked…
