Chapter 951 - Don’t Be Picky With Food
Lin Nuan lifted Tuan Tuan into her arms by his arms. But before she could say anything, Fu Huai’an had already come in from outside…
Lin Nuan explained things to Tuan Tuan on behalf of Fu Huai’an, “Papa went to fetch Mama…”
When Tuan Tuan heard this, he felt even more aggrieved. Seeing Fu Huai’an enter, he said articulately, “Papa is a big baddie!”
Fu Huai’an didn’t bring him along when he went to fetch Mama… Papa was a big baddie!
Fu Huai’an smiled and put a hand on Lin Nuan’s shoulder, then flicked Tuan Tuan on his little head with the other hand. Every time the little one was mad at Fu Huai’an, he would call Fu Huai’an a big baddie.
Tuan Tuan straightened his back and gazed at Fu Huai’an with his watery eyes. He used his little hand to rub his reddened eyes, hugging Lin Nuan tightly around her neck. In an even louder voice now, he pointed a chubby index finger at Fu Huai’an and said, “Papa is a big baddie!”
Upon seeing the little fellow pout, his lower eyelids pressed down by large tear droplets as he tried his best to hold back his tears, Fu Huai’an said, “You aren’t to cry!”
Tuan Tuan wiped his tears with his sleeves and repeated, “Papa is a big baddie!”
The little one turned his head around, hugging Lin Nuan’s neck tightly and not letting go, only showing Fu Huai’an his little butt that was stuck out, so upset that he was sniffling.
Not far away, as Cen Mo looked at the family of three, he couldn’t help smiling, his mind involuntarily tracing out the appearance of his and Song Yao’s child in the future.
Song Yao sensed a large hand grabbing her own hand. She looked towards Cen Mo and saw that he was smiling non-stop at Lin Nuan and her family. She said, “Our child will definitely be as cute as Tuan Tuan!”
“That’s for sure. They say that nephews resemble their uncles! If it’s a daughter, she’ll certainly resemble me! Both of the kids will definitely look alike…” Cen Mo smiled.
Song Yao didn’t reply to that. She merely said as she looked at Fu Huai’an and his family, “It seems like Tuan Tuan still likes his mother best!”
“Dinner is already prepared. We were just waiting for the two of you!” Cen Mo got to his feet and helped support Song Yao. “Since you’re here… let’s eat!”
“Right! Let’s eat! Tuan Tuan must be hungry. Since Mr. Fu left, he hasn’t eaten any snacks and refused any cake or milk. He was all puffed up like a little pufferfish while playing games with us!” Song Yao walked to Lin Nuan’s side. She gazed at the cute little meat bun and stroked him on his back. “It was really tough on Tuan Tuan to have accompanied Uncle and Aunt to play games!”
Tuan Tuan didn’t utter a sound, merely hugging Lin Nuan even more tightly.
“I’ll take Tuan Tuan to wash his hands first…” Lin Nuan said to Fu Huai’an.
Fu Huai’an nodded slightly.
“I’ll bring the two of you!” Song Yao offered to accompany Lin Nuan.
Regarding Lin Nuan moving into the Cen residence with Tuan Tuan, the happiest person was none other than Song Yao.
Every day she could only stay in this house and couldn’t go out. Song Yao was lonely, but in order for Cen Mo to have peace of mind, Song Yao was willing to be good and stay there, not going anywhere.
Song Yao leaned against the door and said as she watched Lin Nuan help Tuan Tuan roll up his sleeves, “I wanted to call you this morning, but before I could make the call, Cen Mo received a call from your husband saying that you’d be moving in today. You have no idea how happy I am. Here… I don’t even have a friend I can talk to. It’s wonderful now that you’re here…”
Lin Nuan stared at the little one as he stood on the small stool and washed his hands while standing on his tiptoes. She nodded. “Right! You can also get a sense of what it feels like to be a mother from being around Tuan Tuan!”
“I already got the sense from looking at how you take care of Tuan Tuan!” Song Yao gently caressed her own tummy. She recalled that when she was young, the old folks would say that kids were most accurate at guessing whether the unborn baby was a boy or a girl. She bent over and asked Tuan Tuan, “Tuan Tuan, do you think the one in Aunt’s tummy is a little boy or a little girl?”
Song Yao was too early in her pregnancy, and the child was but a little embryo. Even if she were to do an ultrasound scan, it wouldn’t detect the gender of the baby. She was only asking Tuan Tuan to satisfy her own curiosity.
Tuan Tuan obediently wiped his hands with a towel and said in a soft and cute voice, “Little boy!”
Song Yao paused in surprise. She recalled that previously Cen Mo had said that he wanted a daughter. She bent over and asked Tuan Tuan, “Why is it a little boy and not a little girl?”
“Little girls resemble their papa… no good, no good!”
Tuan Tuan quickly waved his hands…
Song Yao laughed softly, tickled by the little one’s earnest manner. She reached out to stroke Tuan Tuan’s head. “Little one, you do know quite a lot! Do you also feel that Uncle is very ugly?”
“What do you mean by also?”
Cen Mo’s voice was heard from behind Song Yao. Song Yao turned around and quickly tried to salvage the situation. “I merely said that casually. Moreover, I meant it in relative terms! You said it too… You want a son because sons will resemble me. Isn’t that because you feel that I’m pretty? Prettier relative to you!”
The way she put it… made Cen Mo unable to refute.
“Right! You’re pretty! The prettiest!” Cen Mo placed his hands on Song Yao’s shoulders and led her towards the dining room.
Lin Nuan held Tuan Tuan’s little hand as they walked to the dining room…
From how Lin Nuan saw it, with the way Cen Mo had changed, she felt that, should things continue to progress this way, Song Yao would have better and better days ahead of her!
Lin Nuan and Song Yao had both found the man of their destiny. Only Bai Xiaonian was left!
Lin Nuan thought of how Fu Huai’an had seemingly sent Lu Jinnan to America. She wondered if Lu Jinnan and Bai Xiaonian had met. Bai Xiaonian was so busy these days that she didn’t even reply to Lin Nuan’s WeChat messages.
In the dining room.
Like usual, after Fu Huai’an finished peeling prawns for Lin Nuan, he peeled a prawn for Tuan Tuan and placed it on his little plate. Tuan Tuan took a glance at it and said nothing. Using an arm to shield his bowl, he shoved rice into his mouth with his head lowered.
“Don’t be picky with food. You need to eat prawns too!” Fu Huai’an said in a stern voice.
Fu Huai’an then placed vegetables onto his plate with his chopsticks. The puffed-up Tuan Tuan turned his head away and pushed the plate forward, refusing to eat the food that Fu Huai’an gave him. “Papa is a big baddie!”
Lin Nuan lowered her gaze and looked at Tuan Tuan, whose eyes were reddened as he sat in the kid’s chair beside her. She whispered in Tuan Tuan’s ear, “Tonight, Mama will accompany you until you fall asleep. Don’t be angry anymore, okay?”
Seeing Lin Nuan place the prawn Fu Huai’an peeled for him into the bowl he was guarding, the little one lowered his head and thought about it. He then used his fork to pick it up and take a bite…
Sensing Fu Huai’an stroke his head, the little one struggled to break free. He said earnestly, “Papa is a baddie!”
At least now he wasn’t a big baddie, which was considered an improvement!
Fu Huai’an’s eyes twinkled with a smile. “I’ll let you sleep between Papa and Mama tonight!”
The little one took another bite of the prawn and nodded, his ears a little flushed. When he thought of how he could sleep beside Mama tonight, Tuan Tuan was a little shy.
“Tuan Tuan, do you want to try sleeping between Aunt and Uncle? Aunt and Uncle can read a picture book to you!” Song Yao asked upon seeing the look of envy in Cen Mo’s eyes.
