I Might Be A Fake Cultivator

Chapter 1067 - A Bold Plan

Chapter 1067: A Bold Plan

This was not an implausible suspicion.

Otherwise, there really was no explanation for the High Priest as well as the High Priestess’ bizarre actions.

“The tribal secrets most likely have something to do with the deal between the High Priest, the High Priestess, and the top dog of this world as well,” An Lin speculated.

He suddenly thought of something and pulled out a photographic crystal from his storage ring. “Underling Lan, this is the snapshot I took of Tian Chenji’s turtle shell. What does it say?”

Lan Xiaoni looked at it before shaking her head with a hint of disappointment. “I’ve seen this type of special ancient text, but I need to have the starry sky of the West Sea as a reference in order to decipher it. I won’t be able to do that here.”

An Lin’s expression darkened upon hearing this. “Why does your clan feel the need to make everything so complicated? Even reading some text requires the stars as a reference? What’s the point?”

“It has great confidentiality properties, and it makes us look very profound and bad*ss so that we get a sense of superiority,” Lan Xiaoni replied with nothing but blatant honesty.

An Lin was defeated by her straightforward answer and didn’t have a response.

Thus, the two of them fell silent again.

Aside from gaining a potential extra enemy with God-like powers, they didn’t appear to have reaped any other rewards from their ordeal. If they couldn’t leave this place, none of this would matter anyway.

The two of them made another exhaustive search of the Star Dancer’s cabin.

The results were very disappointing.

There were no other useful items to be found.

“What do we do now, Big Boss An Lin?” Lan Xiaoni turned to An Lin with a hint of fear and anticipation in her blue eyes.

An Lin thought to himself for a moment before replying, “Seeing as the High Priest and High Priestess won’t allow us to go back, there is only one way out of here.”

“What is it?” Lan Xiaoni asked.

“Find the top dog of this world and ask it to open up the passageway for us!” An Lin replied with a solemn expression.

Lan Xiaoni: “…”

The mermaid princess stared at An Lin in shock, and tears began to shimmer in her eyes again.

An Lin turned with a confused expression to his underling, who appeared to have a crying addiction, and he didn’t even have a chance to ask her anything before her sobs erupted forth…

“Waah… I thought Big Boss An Lin would be final hope in this dire situation, but Big Boss An Lin has already gone insane before me! Have you already succumbed to our fate? You’re even thinking about leading both of us to an early grave…” Lan Xiaoni wiped her tears as she sobbed with despair.

An Lin’s lips twitched upon hearing this.

This mysterious being was capable of sinking the Starfire Battleship and slaughtering tens of thousands of Spirit Fish Clan powerful beings with two sentences, so An Lin couldn’t really blame Lan Xiaoni for thinking that way.

In reality, An Lin had his own reasons for proposing this idea.

If that mysterious being really had struck some sort of deal with the High Priest and the High Priestess, that would indicate that it was not someone that was not open to negotiation and communication.

Even though An Lin was just an ordinary Soul Formation Stage cultivator, he had a crap ton of trump cards!

The Vermilion Bird Mirror, the Chaotic Alloy Brick, the Dragon Tribe mighty figure in his ring, the flaming vermilion bird in his sea of vital energy, his infuriating system, etc. Those were all trump cards!

They should be able to help him with what he was about to do next, right?

Of course, he would try his best to avoid a situation where he would have to use them.

“Alright, stop crying. In any case, let’s continue our search of the Starfire Battleship to see if we can find some more information…” An Lin heaved a faint sigh.

Lan Xiaoni had no objections to this, and they left the Star Dancer’s cabin together. Lan Xiaoni continued to act as a bloodline key to access all of the rooms on the battleship.

The Starfire Battleship really was extremely massive, and if they tried to look through each and every room, it would definitely take them a year or more.

Fortunately, they discovered the control room and a map of the battleship in the early stages of their search.

The rest of the process was quite simple. They only searched around the important areas of the battleship.

Even so, it still took them a few days to complete their search.

They discovered nothing worthy of note aside from some precious materials and energy vessels.

To be honest, even if there were a hundred million spirit stones for An Lin to pick up, he still wouldn’t experience a single shred of joy!

He was going to be trapped here until he died anyway, so what was the point of picking up money?

Even the skipper of the battleship, the Star Dancer, was unable to find a way out. How were they supposed to work out a course of action just by searching through the battleship?

An Lin and Lan Xiaoni lay down on the ship deck with expressions of despair on their faces.

“There’s no other way. We only have one course of action left…” An Lin gritted his teeth.

“No, there IS another way!” Lan Xiaoni still hadn’t given up hope.

“What is it?”

“We can cultivate here until we progress to the Return to Void Stage. Maybe we’ll be able to detect the West Sea’s relative location from here after we attain spatial powers and get out of this place!”

Lan Xiaoni suggested.

An Lin: “Why don’t we wait for me to progress to the Dao Integration Stage or the God of Creation level, then bash the crap out of that mysterious God-like being?”

Lan Xiaoni’s eyes lit up. “Great idea! I think that’ll work!”

“Great idea my *ss!” An Lin immediately flicked her on the forehead.

He didn’t waste any more time. “With our power, we won’t even be able to tear open a spatial passageway, and even if we could, we don’t have the coordinates that could lead us back to where we came from anyway. I’m going to find that mysterious being. Whether you come with me or stay here is up to you.”

An Lin turned and left as he spoke.

Lan Xiaoni clenched her fists, and her shoulders trembled as if she was grappling with intense internal conflict.

A few seconds later, she took a deep breath before following An Lin with a resolute expression.

“Screw it! If I die then I die!

“Big Boss An Lin, wait for me!”

Even though she knew An Lin’s course of action was most likely suicidal and she was absolutely petrified, she still involuntarily decided to follow him.

“Hey, Underling Lan, stop tugging on my sleeve!”

“I… I’m scared!”

An Lin rolled his eyes before continuing onward into the distance with his underling atop his black brick.

Their first destination was that palace that had been razed to the ground.

The journal entry had stated that the blue figure had appeared above the mushroom cloud.

To be honest, An Lin was wondering if that palace was actually that mysterious being’s house. That would explain why it had appeared as soon as the palace had been destroyed, before crushing the entire battleship along with its crew…

Its house had been razed to the ground; of course it had to retaliate!

However, as an indescribably powerful mighty figure, it would be embarrassing for it to just attack a bunch of trash for no good reason. Hence, it could only fabricate a profound excuse like “you don’t belong in this world” before attacking…

Oh my God!

That makes a lot of sense!

An Lin swallowed silently with a hint of hope intermingled with his nerves. If that was indeed the case, then that mysterious being seemed to possess some pretty humanized traits. Wouldn’t that make it easier to negotiate with?

With these questions in mind, he scoured the boundless seabed continent atop his black brick. After almost an entire day, he finally discovered a place that seemed to have been ravaged by an extremely powerful attack.

However, at the center of the explosion was not a huge crater.

Instead… it was a brand new palace!
