Chapter 644 - Dad, where did you send Pei Ge?
A cool night.
After a busy day at work, it was already late into the night when Pei Ge returned to her apartment.
Bang!
She closed the door and turned on the light in the living room.
In an instant, the dark room was flooded with light.
She spaced out for a moment as she stared at this minimalist but luxurious apartment.
She was no longer in the capital.
Very quickly, though, he returned to normal.
He frowned slightly, grabbed his car keys from the desk, and left the office.
He sped on the road back to the huge villa his family owned.
“Young master, welcome home.”
His unannounced arrival at the family villa surprised the people residing there.
Especially his mother, she thought she was dreaming when she learned of his return.
“Ming Ming, why didn’t you tell mom that you’re coming over today? Have you had dinner yet?” she asked happily, gazing gently at him in her pajamas.
“Where’s dad?” he asked with a straight face, his voice ever cold.
“Your dad? He’s busy working in the study. Don’t you know him? He’s always…”
Before her reply could end, the man took big strides toward the study room upstairs.
“Eh? Ming Ming, what are you doing? This child, mom’s not done talking yet…”
Seeing him directly make his way up the stairs toward the study, she got a bad feeling. No matter how she looked at it, she felt that her son was back to seek vengeance.
“Ming Ming! Ming Ming…”
Amid her calls, he entered his father’s study with a somber face without knocking.
“Where did you send Pei Ge?” he asked at once.
The expression on his face did not have any effect on his father, though.
“Where did your manners go? Don’t you know how to knock before entering a room?” His father retorted calmly without taking his eyes off the documents on his desk.
“Where is she?!” He stared straight at his father, his fists clenched, frustration evident in his voice.
“Go out. Knock before you enter.” Lifting his head, Father Ji frowned at the way his son shouted at him.
Ji Ziming pursed his lips tightly as he went out to knock on the door under his father’s cold stare.
Knock, knock, knock!
“Hmph! Come in!” His father snorted coldly.
“Pei Ge, where is she?” he asked, his question still about her.
“Heh! I think you’ve lost your mind over a woman!”
