As Pei Ge walked along the corridor to her office, she greeted this company’s employees with a smile.
Bang!
She closed the door and looked at the warm sunlight streaming in and illuminating the office, yet her heart did not feel its warmth.
“Wu Yongkang, you know very well what I’m talking about. Although I am but a small manager and can’t know everyone’s movements, as my secretary, I still understand you enough!” She smashed the documents she had been reading just then on her desk.
A bang resounded in this not-so-spacious general manager’s office. The air stilled and turned cold at once.
He was totally spooked by the angry shout of this friendly and usually calm woman.
“Although I’m new here, I am no fool! Tell me yourself how long you have been around the company ever since I came?!”
She looked coldly at him. “Surprisingly, an assistant like you is even busier than me, who is the general manager.”
Her dark and clear eyes were currently icy. Faced with such a gaze, he could not help but shiver. How could he possibly even say the lies he had prepared?
He swallowed all these lies back into his stomach.
“Since I was sent here to take charge of this company, I will properly do my part as a general manager.”
Her expression slowly returned to normal. Although she still did not smile, it was not as cold as before.
“I hope you are clear on how and what you should do in the future. After all, I don’t want to be raising a bunch of people who only know how to take advantage of the company!”
