Chapter 1214 - Had to Give Up
Chapter 1213 – Had to Give Up
Inside the jade space, all the energy was being absorbed by Lin Yi, but it still wasn’t enough! Feeling that the absorption rate was too slow, Lin Yi focused on gathering more energy to his immediate surroundings, letting his body absorb that passively as well!
Lin Yi first helped his body recover by increasing the rate of blood production- this wasn’t a hard process and was practically the same as when he repaired himself after getting injured.
Once his body recovered, he started recovering his strength- he was like a big empty tank, gulping down big chunks of energy!
Time always passed by quickly when practitioning, and he felt the energy within him expand and expand, from his state of zero strength to golden class early phase, middle phase, golden class late phase peak, and Mystic mid phase…
And finally, Lin Yi was now at his strength level of Mystic mid phase!
But this was no surprise- he had done this a lot of times already.
He didn’t stop, however, and continued channeling the Art of Dragon MAstery, planning to break through to Mystic mid phase peak!!
This was how things were- you press on, fail, and press on with more strength!
If he couldn’t burst through now, it’d take a lot more effort to make a breakthrough next time! He didn’t want to waste this chance, and so he gritted his teeth through it!
But, breaking through wasn’t that easy- you needed to be at the right place at the right time, and many people would get stuck on their current level for years, while some for their entire lives! Did they never reach the wall that stopped them?
No, some people did reach that wall, even walked alongside it- it was just that this wall was too strong to break through!
Lin Yi didn’t want to admit it, but he had to admit it- this attack on the wall was a failure!
He failed! This was the first time that his rebirth through destruction didn’t work!
His charge to get through into Mystic mid phase peak didn’t work, and was a bit different! He couldn’t get any energy into him once he was full!
This was like a plastic bag filled with stuff, and even if it were a tiny thing you wanted to squeeze in, it was impossible! This was why Lin Yi always failed to braek through the wall!
But this time, he was able to squeeze more into the already full plastic bag… Yet he was still unable to break through!
“Fuu… It doesn’t work!” Lin Yi breathed out, opening his eyes. After resting a bit, he went back to make his attack to Mystic mid phase peak! He didn’t want to give up!
The energy within the jade space channelled around Lin Yi once more at an incredible rate- he’d already become used to the method of absorbing energy, and he was a master still of the Art of Dragon Mastery. It could be said that breaking through to the seocnd stage was something at his fingertips, but something- that little something- was missing! What he needed now was to wait for the stone door to open once more, and he’d be able to get the second stage of the secret of the Art of Dragon Mastery!
The first stage was already amazing enough as it was, much, much stronger than the other arts. Lin Yi had so much at his fingertips- so what would the second stage feel like? Lin Yi really did anticipate it, but he regretted it as well. Why didn’t he discover this jade space earlier? If he had, he’d already have entered full completion of the first stage of Dragon Mastery, and he wouldn’t have had to wait so many years! He would’ve been able to open the stone door five years ago!
But he was just thinking about it. He couldn’t be too greedy, after all – everything he already had was good enough for him!
Once, twice, and thrice…
The energy continued gathering around LinYi, but he simply could not break through that wall!
He could continue getting energy in, but it always felt like there was just that little bit of a gap left! A bit more, and he’d break through!
But there was always a limit to the amount of energy he could absorb, he couldn’t push through it! This new energy that got absorbed into him was used right away, and he couldn’t stack it!
It was like someone pushing against a door- he wasn’t strong enough, but he was almost there- he knew that if he used even a bit more of strength, the door would open, but that bit of strength simply wasn’t there! It wasn’t like you could summon all his strength once again since you would have already used it!
Lin Yi was like that- the energy within him was very full, and only that little bit more of energy was needed to break through, just that little bit!
This sort of situation was quite frustrating, and he opened his eyes, looking at Elder Jiao who seemed to be a bit amused. Lin Yi looked troubled, “Elder Jiao, how come I can’t break through eventhough there’s just a bit left?”
“It’s simple- you just broke through into mid phase not long ago! Wanting to step forward from there was difficult in the first place! It hasn’t been long enough, your current strength isn’t stable yet,” Elder Jiao said simply, “It’d be a surpirse if you could break through now/”
“But…” Lin Yi wasn’t willing to give up! The break through was just in front of him, and he couldn’t do it! It was like a plate of delicious food in front of him that he couldn’t eat!
He tried a couple more times, and all of them ended in failure. He wanted to give up, but he wasn’t willing to! Using this sort of rebirth through destruction method always worked before, and now it didn’t! It seemed like late phase Mystic wasn’t something you broke through into that easily!
Lin Yi was disappointed, but he came back to reality anyway, only to realize that the house was already dark! It was dusk!
He sat up and walked out his room. Opening the door, it was a bright light that hit him. Luckily, his eyes could adapt faster than normal people and didn’t even flinch from the light. He could still see the scene in the living room.
Xiaoxiao and Tang Yun were watching TV, in cartoon pajamas on the sofa!
The TV was on, and the two had evidently fallen asleep. It was already one in the morning, so of course they’d be asleep! It had to have been tough for them to have waited this long for him.
