The Brilliant Fighting Master

Chapter 72

Jiang Chen felt proud of himself when he was promoted to senior disciple. But after learning that Ning Haotian ranked the first on both lists, this proud feeling disappeared. He started to think about the current situation again and plan what to practice.

Undoubtedly, he had to achieve the Mental Wander State.

But if he wanted to enhance his state in a short period, he had to make good use of every resource he had.

First of all, the benefits for senior disciples.

Senior disciples had three enviable resources that could benefit their practice.

The first was the Transdragon Pool.

Each entry in it cost a million contributions. One would see fabulous changes after bathing in the Transdragon Pool. Besides enhancing their state, they would progress rapidly in their future practice.

Wen Xin was frozen. Coldness showed in her eyes. She said emotionlessly, “I’m gonna kill him.”

Then she looked up to Jiang Chen and asked, “What are you trying to say?”

Jiang Chen looked serious and terribly rational. “I want to say I am wholeheartedly looking to achieve the peak of martial arts techniques. I don’t have extra time for—”

“Enough!” Wen Xin interrupted him and said discontentedly, “Don’t worry. I don’t like you. I moved here because I wanted you to instruct my swordsmanship and I want to see more progress quickly. Like you, I am also wholeheartedly trying to reach the peak.”

“That’s great.” Jiang Chen grinned, as if he had removed a huge burden from his back. He took the disciple token and left Wen Xin’s room.

As soon as he left, Wen Xin’s whole face turned red, even her neck.

“Bastard!” she scolded while watching him leave.

Jiang Chen sneezed and scratched his head.

Then he asked Meng Hao to purchase the materials he needed, and went into the alchemist room when he got them.

Meng Hao was guarding outside. In a short while, he heard fire burning inside. Then there was smoke coming through the window, along with the slight aroma of medicine.

An hour later, Meng Hao started to worry about Jiang Chen.

He could sense the high temperature in the alchemist room even from outside. One would imagine it was like a steamer inside.

He hesitated to knock, but the door was opened from the inside. The heat wave rushed at him like a fiery dragon, forcing him to step back.

Jiang Chen walked out of the smoke like a celestial being descending to the earth. He was totally drenched in sweat.

“Have you succeeded?” Meng Hao asked.

“Of course,” Jiang Chen smiled confidently. He wiped the sweat off of his face and said, “I’ll deploy a cooling formation in the alchemist room later. Otherwise I’ll die from overheating.”

“Take this.”

Jiang Chen gave Meng Hao a jade bottle with the three kinds of panaceas inside.

“They are equivalent to three months’ disciple benefits,” Jiang Chen said.

Meng Hao beamed. He thanked Jiang Chen while taking the bottle. He opened the bottle and smelled it. Suddenly, he felt refreshed.

“Jiang Chen, it seems to me that you are incapable of nothing,” Meng Hao exclaimed.

Jiang Chen found three wooden boxes and filled them with the three kinds of panaceas. Then he headed for the chamber of commerce for senior disciples with Meng Hao.
