Growing Fond of You, Mr Nian

Chapter 985 - When Are You Gonna Let Me Go?

Chapter 985: When Are You Gonna Let Me Go?

He was always mean to her after all.

“What do you think I’m gonna do?” Mo Liuxi carried her to the riverside. He reached out both arms while looking down at her and saying, “I’m gonna throw you into the water to feed fishes.”

The water was right below her. In fear, Yan Su hurriedly put her arms around his neck, worrying that he might really throw her into the river. Meanwhile, she begged him for mercy. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry! I was kidding!”

She did not want to fall into the water. She didn’t bring any clothes for a change.

Mo Liuxi liked it when she was holding him tightly. He wished that she would do that more often.

“I don’t think it’s a joke,” Mo Liuxi said with a wicked smile. He raised his arms as if he was going to throw her.

Yan Su closed her eyes and burst in screams. She thought that she would fall straight into the water. She quickly discovered that wasn’t in the water. Instead, she was being held close to his chest.

She raised her head. Mo Liuxi was looking at her with smiling eyes. It was as if he had just watched a good show.

“You lied!” Yan Su realized what had happened.

She raised her arms to hit him. Mo Liuxi didn’t dodge. He let her fists land on him.

Her fists could barely hurt him. He thoroughly enjoyed the moment. Looking at the girl’s angry face, he felt as if a cube of sugar was melting inside his heart. He wanted so badly to bury her in his arms and kiss her lips hard.

Mo Liuxi finally understood why there were so many sweet couples in school. He used to think those people were boring. Now, he had tasted that kind of sweetness himself.

Yan Su spent a short while punching his chest before suddenly realizing what she was doing. She stopped and raised her head to see the man looking straight at her. His eyes were like the summer sky, warm and bright. Looking into those eyes, her brain was blank. Her heart was mildly fluttering.

No matter how slow-minded she was, she realized that whatever they had been doing should not happen between them. She hurriedly dropped her hands. Her face was burning.

She bit her lower lips and asked, “When are you gonna let me go? Just put me down.”

Mo Liuxi put her down. She turned away, walked to the side, and squatted behind the grill. She started taking out the meat and vegetables they had brought for the barbecue. She had no clue what she was doing.

Yan Su wanted to smack herself to death. She thought, Why on earth did I put my arms around Mo Liuxi’s neck just now?

What she did made them look like a couple. They were only neighbors, even though they had slept together.

“I want some grilled eggplant,” Mo Liuxi said as he squatted beside her.

Yan Su opened her mouth to say something. When she saw his handsome face, she remained silent and put some eggplant on the grill.

She only wanted to finish the barbecue and go home as soon as possible. Being with him made her feel weird. She couldn’t explain the feeling. She didn’t dare think too deeply about it.

Yan Su focused on the barbecue. From time to time, she turned back and saw Mo Liuxi in the river with his trouser legs rolled up. The sunlight poured on his back and the glistening river surface. The scene looked like a peaceful painting.

She hadn’t had that kind of feeling for a very long time. Her hometown had mountains and rivers. She and her family used to go for an outing together on the weekends.

As she was submerged in memories, someone suddenly patted her on the shoulder. She turned and saw a crab in front of her face wielding its claws. She flinched.

Mo Liuxi heartily laughed. She rarely saw him laughing so happily.

“Is bullying me fun?” Yan Su asked.
