“Do you think that by killing me, you can cover up the crimes committed by you and your father?”
Pei Shishi pursed her lips when her thoughts were guessed correctly by the other.
“Stop dreaming. Do you remember what I said about having evidence?”
Pei Ge stared coldly at her as darkness flashed past her eyes.
“The evidence is in my mother’s hand. As long as I go missing from your home today, you and your father will become the primary suspects tomorrow.” She smiled at her cousin mockingly. “Do you still want to kill me right now?”
“You! Where did you get the evidence?! All the CCTVs in that area were destroyed!”
Pei Shishi looked at the other woman in bafflement. No matter how hard she tried, she could not figure out how the latter got hold of the evidence.
With her departure from the bedroom, she heard its door closing and felt that something was amiss.
Aye? That’s weird. When I entered Pei Shishi’s room, the door was closed.
Why… then was it not closed but slightly ajar when I left?
