Chapter 390 - Martial Arts Workshop
“He was defeated in only one sword attack?”
The bystanders, still expecting a wonderful fight, saw Mo Jianfei’s hands hanging, limp and bleeding.
Mo Jianfei looked up. His eyes were filled with a frightening viciousness.
Jiang Chen moved his lips slightly. His voice was so low that only Mo Jianfei could hear him. “Don’t give me any chance to kill you.”
His look was enough of a reason for Jiang Chen to kill him.
But Jiang Chen sensed there were elders lurking somewhere, waiting to come to his rescue at anytime.
If he killed someone in front of them again, he would be regarded as arrogant. Even if the Hero Palace didn’t punish him, there were potential risks.
“Jiang Chen, a penny for your thoughts.” Jiang Chen didn’t recall Ying Wushaung was still standing before him until he heard her unhappy voice. He smiled embarrassedly.
“Don’t get frustrated. They’re that strong only because they’ve been on the list for years. It’s only your first day ranked on the list and you’re already fourth. You’ll catch up with them sooner or later.” Ying Wushuang wasn’t really irritated. She thought Jiang Chen was just upset because of the change in the Fighting Power List.
“I agree.” Jiang Chen shrugged his shoulders and said, “I was just thinking about making the knife and sword inseparable, but you said once that it was unnecessary. Do you still think so?”
“Of course. Wouldn’t it just be the same if you practiced your sword technique to the utmost?” Ying Wushuang said affirmatively.
“Maybe it will become a kind of doctrine of sword if I combine the merits of my knife techniques with the use of my sword, as well. My doctrine of sword could be deemed as a standard over the past centuries,” said Jiang Chen.
Ying Wushuang frowned. She said, “I see.”
“And?”
“I still don’t suggest you waste your energy at such a young age on a puzzle of martial arts techniques that doesn’t have a solution yet.”
Ying Wushuang was sincere. She didn’t want Jiang Chen to make a big mistake. This woman was gentle on the inside.
She was smart, too. She knew Jiang Chen wouldn’t listen to her, so she said, “Why don’t you spend two weeks at the martial arts workshop? Maybe you’ll find your direction there.”
“Martial arts workshop?” Jiang Chen had no idea what kind of place that was.
“It’s a place in the Sacred City dedicated to enhancing martial arts techniques. Its biggest task is to help practitioners achieve being an integral part of nature and master the creation of nature and martial arts techniques.”
“But I’ve already mastered the creation of nature and martial arts techniques,” said Jiang Chen.
Ying Wushuang apparently hadn’t known. She was looking at him as if he was a monster.
“They work on the creation of nature and martial arts techniques, too,” said Ying Wushuang.
“Yeah?”
Jiang Chen was intrigued. He asked for more details and became even more intrigued.
The martial arts workshop interpreted martial arts techniques through the four arts, which were playing the zither, playing go, calligraphy, and painting, similar to the chessboard Jiang Chen had seen at Nan Gong’s place.
He probably would really be able to find the key of the great integration of martial arts techniques there, just as Ying Wushuang had said.
“I only just realized that you’re this warm-hearted,” said Jiang Chen.
Ying Wushuang curled her lips. She managed to keep a straight face, then gave him an angry stare and left.
