Rebirth: Pampered Wife’s Counterattack

Chapter 414 - No Blood Relations

“What about between him and I? Between the two of us, who is more outstanding to you?” A hint of hope appeared in Fang Shaohua’s heart.

His Xinxin was not a greedy woman.

Perhaps, in her heart, he could be even more important than Bai Qinghao.

“Brother, how could you ask something like that?” Fang Xinxin frowned with some unhappiness.

“Xinxin, I want to know the answer…”

“You are my brother and he is my fiancé.” She responded firmly. “The two of you occupy very different positions in my heart. I don’t want you to make this sort of comparison.”

If she had to give an answer, no one could be as outstanding or important as Bai Qinghao for her.

However, she could not say this. She was worried that he would get upset.

He was already in a painful plight with the crimes over his head, she did not wish to add onto his worries.

“I’m not your biological brother.” Fang Shaohua was somewhat agitated. “We’re not related by blood!”

“Since young, we grew up in the same family. From the moment I gained awareness, I always knew you were my brother. You even treated me much better than many other brothers would to their biological sisters.” She continued. “Could it be that the family relationship between the two of us cannot be equal to those siblings who are actually connected by blood?”

“In my heart, you are the most important!” His tone was firm.

“Isn’t that good enough?” She did not wish to argue about this and continued with some frustration. “I hate it when you compete with Bai Qinghao.”

“Alright, alright…” Fang Shaohua always gave into her.

He quickly backed off. “I won’t do it then.”

Her expression softened. “That’s better.”

“Then, the car that I bought for you…”

“Keep it for your own use.” She responded. “Your new company is still on its way to stabilising. Having a car makes everything a lot more convenient. I’ll accept your intentions.”

Bai Qinghao had already bought her ten cars. Fang Shaohua did not insist on it. “Alright then. Will you come upstairs for a while?”

“No.” She lifted her head to look at him. “Brother, do you have any other matters?”

He shook his head but watched her with emotional eyes. He dearly hoped that she could stay to accompany him, even if it was just for a little while.

“I still have something on. I have to leave now.” In fact, she had absolutely nothing to do.

If this had been in the past, she would have taken the initiative to go upstairs and spend some time with her brother. However, ever since her brother became drunk and she heard his confession…

Right now, as she took in the feelings that he was struggling to conceal in his gaze…

She found herself slightly afraid to confront them. She did not know how to be herself in front of him.

To prevent things from turning awkward, she felt that it was better to leave instead.

Fang Shaohua watched as she left quickly as though she was escaping.

Misery filled his heart.

He knew that she was running away.

She must be struggling to accept that he had taken her innocence, wasn’t she?

But he was truly overjoyed and happy. What was he supposed to do about it?

So what if Bai Qinghao had bought her ten expensive cars? No matter what Bai Qinghao did, he could not change the fact that Xinxin now belonged to him!

Fang Xinxin sat in the co-driver’s seat and glanced at Tong Yu.

Earlier, he did not alight and did not overhear their conversation.

“Is Miss Fang returning to the Yu Ting Villa now?” Tong Yu took the initiative to ask.

“Bai Qinghao isn’t home. Let’s not return for now.” Fang Xinxin said this and read off an address to him.

The car reached outside an unassuming, private house in an old street.

Fang Xinxin instructed Tong Yu to wait in the car. She approached the old house and knocked rhythmically against the door.

A middle-aged man with a normal appearance opened the door. He had met her previously and did not request for the secret code this time. He directly let her in.
