The Brilliant Fighting Master

In the deepest part of the mine, Jiang Chen and Gao Huoling were shrieking, too.

They had experienced the collapse of the mountain on a scale that was beyond the imagination of those in the air.

After the collapse, the two could have been squeezed to death or paralyzed, dying slowly.

But they had been lucky. They didn’t feel any pressure at all. Instead, their bodies kept falling.

They manipulated their Haloes of Heaven, but it could only slow down their fall, not stop it.

“What happened?” Gao Huoling didn’t understand. She only remembered that she had been practicing when all of this had happened suddenly.

“I think it’s because of me.”

“The origin has no way to attack, but it’s so hot that even Venerables can’t stand it. The blood in your body might allow you to stand it, or it might not. But do you have a choice?” said the black dragon.

Jiang Chen looked up. Gao Huoling fell once again. It wouldn’t take long for her to fall to the height where she couldn’t withstand the heat.

“Fine!” Jiang Chen gnashed his teeth. He charged down, holding his knife and sword in hand.

His long hair soon started to burn, but thanks to the phoenix blood in his body, it wasn’t burnt right away. Instead, each of his hairs was glowing.

If he were in armor, he would look like a descending god.

When he was already very close to the fire dragon, he felt like all of his teeth were burning, and his eyes hurt so much that he couldn’t even open them.

Death was near again. His spirit was about to be broken.

“I, Jiang Chen, am going to be a Martial Saint! How could I end up dying here?!” he shouted out in anger at this crucial moment and threw his sword out.

As the black dragon had said, the fire dragon was only an energy with consciousness, but weak at defense.

The dragon body broke immediately when the sword hit it. The energy splashed everywhere, like boiling liquid iron.

Jiang Chen couldn’t even see the fire dragon clearly, since all he could see was brilliant light.

“Jiang Chen?”

Gao Huoling was on the verge of fainting again because of the heat. The world was a blur to her. She only saw Jiang Chen fighting against something that looked like a giant underground beast.

She was most surprised at seeing Jiang Chen’s naked butt moving around.

Is this an illusion? she thought to herself.

At the same time, Jiang Chen kept waving his sword, absorbing the liquid-iron-like origin of fire dragon, but the effects of this process couldn’t be compared with that of him being burned.

“Are you silly or what? Why aren’t you using your holy pulse?” the black dragon scolded unkindly.

His words reminded Jiang Chen, who hurried to turn to his holy pulse. As expected, he absorbed the energy more efficiently.

The more he absorbed from the fire dragon, the less energy remained in it. So as long as Jiang Chen could make it through the most difficult part, he would be fine.

However, he felt like his insides were burning. When he opened his mouth, there was fire coming out of it.

He suddenly had an idea. He cut into his blood vessels with the Red Cloud Sword and started to bleed.

This way, not only could he cool himself down, but the blood-forming function of his body could be activated to counterbalance the high temperature.

What he never foresaw was that his blood permeated through the skin of his back while he was absorbing the origin of fire dragon.

The part of the fire dragon that he had absorbed appeared on his back. When he had absorbed all of the energy, a vivid dragon could be seen on his back, growling!

But Jiang Chen couldn’t see it. He blacked out.
